Jeannine was fantastic. I needed a used car for my teens. I knew what I wanted as it was advertised online , and Jeannine made the process feel like I was running into the grocery. She was extremely polite, asked me several times if I wanted something to drink, and handled all of the coordination to get the process done quickly. The Ford vehicle we purchased is perfect. Spent some time there this afternoon. Got a great offer on my 2016 Explorer. Was convinced I wanted another Explorer but also wanted to check out the Bronco Sport and maybe a Ranger. Dario was great! Super helpful and accommodating with my requests. Bronco rode nice and handled great but didn’t have all the features I wanted. They are in high demand. The Explorer was great but seemed a little bigger and maybe more than I wanted since kids are grown. Checked out the Ranger Lariat and OMG that was it. After driving this one too I knew it was it. Dario said more than once, “I just want you to be happy.” Everyone was great. Joey, who takes care of all the extra things such as tinting, bed liners, etc went out of his way. And Mario in financing… thank you! You were a tremendous help. If you are looking for something new or even used, check them out. They want you to leave happy. Now my only question is… what to name it for the Ford Pass app??

The Service Department at Richmond Ford West is consistently horrible! THEY ARE NEVER ON TIME AND ALWAYS TAKE FOREVER. But they've taken it to a whole new level today ... I'm getting an oil change and State Inspection, and I've been waiting for over 3.5 hours!!! Yes, I'm writing this while I have nothing else to do ...because I'm still sitting here! While the service department here always takes longer than it should, this is COMPLETELY INEXCUSABLE today! For the record, my experience with the sales team, when buying my vehicle, was fine ...no worse than any other dealership, not really any better either, but ...

I found a truck online that was at Richmond Ford West. I live about 1 hr 45 minutes away so I called and inquired about the truck. DARIO was fantastic. He called me on his cell and went and grabbed the truck and did a full walk around of the vehicle while on FaceTime. I went in for a test drive of Mach E, the service associate found out later that we are still not sure about ordering this car and want to compare it with Tesla, she became very rude. After we left, she used my driver license information and order a March E without permission because dealership can't order this car from Ford unless it's for a customer, this car is very popular now and not many dealership has inventory. Unbelievable!

Very pleased. We purchased a used car. After signing the paperwork, the salesman, Rodney, took it to gas it up. He noticed a check engine light came on. He brought it to his manager's, Ed, attention. They took the car into a specialist to diagnose and correct the problem on their own dime and told us about it. Many would have cleared it and never mentioned it. High praise for the salesman and the sales manager. Paperwork process was 3 hours so that was a bit much. 90 minutes would have been more reasonable. My wife and I have been looking for a particular vehicle and we found one online at Richmond Ford West. I inquired about the vehicle and was helped by Dario Maric who answered all of my questions and we set up an appointment to look at the vehicle. He had the vehicle parked out of sight so that it would still be there for us to test drive because we live in Woodbridge Virginia ( not around the corner) and we couldn't make it down until the weekend. Today, I had the window film applied to my Escape. Oh my goodness! It looks terrific! Now no one can see what I have in the back of my vehicle, so great privacy. But best of all those annoying LED lights on so many cars now that can be blinding are now blocked. You can still see the car but the lights no longer blind you! Call Joey at the dealership and he can hook you up no matter how old, new, make or model your vehicle. Totally worth it! I purchased my 2015 Fusion here in 2015. It was an awesomely painless experience. So when I decided I wanted to get into a SUV I knew exactly where to go! A couple of weeks ago I purchased a new Escape. Again my salesman, Quincy, was terrific. The finance manager, Marvin, was terrific in helping make the numbers work! The service staff have always been super! So even though I live across town I come back for every oil change etc. I just want to add, this dealership is the best! Marvin, saw me there picking up my car and with all the people he sees every day, remembered my name! The manager came over and joked with me. I know how quick people are to write negative reviews so I feel it’s even more important to write a positive review when you have a great experience. I cannot say enough about the service I experienced this past weekend when I purchased a Ford F150 from Richmond Ford West. I’d been researching this particular vehicle for months so I knew what I was looking for. Last week when I submitted an online request for information on a particular F150 Lariat that Richmond Ford had, Kayla Hylton, Business Development Rep, responded. The impressive thing to me was that she remembered a prior conversation she’d had with me where I wasn’t sure I liked the F150 because it felt huge, compared to my Jeep, so I wasn’t sure I was moving forward. I told her I thought I’d try again so she hooked me up with Michael Johnson, my Sales Consultant, via email. On the drive over to the dealership, Michael called to introduce himself to me and said he’d have the vehicle ready for me when I got there. After reaching the dealer, I met Michael – who has an amazing personality and is someone you can tell actually LIKES working with people. (I think I made him laugh a bit too much but – Michael – you better buy some new clothes!) We took the truck for a drive, I decided I liked it enough to see what sort of deal they could work out for me. After completing some of the initial paperwork with Michael, I was introduced to a couple of other really fine folks. Joey Foust, the Guest Services Manager, explained the benefits of a number of add on packages and sold me on the ceramic coating and gave me some pricing information on a couple of other things I’ll be getting done. Joey was obviously a very service oriented individual and was very patient with my sort of, “just tell me what it costs” nature. Ed Palmateer, the Sales Manager, introduced himself and struck up a conversation with my husband since they had both served in the military – clearly the Air Force had the better deal =). Like everyone I’d met so far, Ed seemed genuinely interested in us as people and we enjoyed talking with him. Last but certainly not least, I worked with Marino Gonzalez, the Finance Manager. I was really pleased by the interaction and the way Marino handled the transaction. I’d come in with a pre-approved USAA loan and they were interested in seeing if they could meet or beat the rate/terms. (I fully understand why dealers try to do this – it’s business after all) Marino didn’t try to pressure me on GAP or other add on features/sales – again something I truly appreciated. He was able to put together a deal that was REALLY good for me so we completed the transaction. Marino, I'm sure you, your wife, and the boys will love the seasons here in Central Virginia! Everyone at this dealership sincerely seemed like they were interested in and wanted to earn my business (Marino – thanks again for explaining why that “other” dealership/auto mall treated me like “here’s what we’re going to do, you can either like it or leave” was their business model). This was by far THE BEST car buying experience I have had in my 34 years of driving. I absolutely know who will be getting my business in the future and where I’ll be referring all of my family, friends, and colleagues if they are ever in the market for a new/used vehicle (Ford or not, since they have some nice pre-owned inventory that isn’t Ford). A HUGE thank you to every one of the folks I mentioned above, you are great at what you do and I hope the owners know it!

I made an appointment to test drive a new 2021 F-150. When we arrived it was not onsite and there was a little confusion with the initial appointment, but the team worked to have the vehicle there within the hour. My wife and I were thoroughly impressed with this dealership. Shelly our product specialist was wonderful and made sure we were happy every step of the way. Mike the sales manager was awesome as well he was willing to work with us even in these crazy times to get us into the truck we wanted. Joey the Guest Services Manager was one of our favorite parts of the whole experience he got us some great deals on some of the accessories we wanted. Everyone at this dealership made us feel at home and comfortable. Never pressured and no hidden fees. I cannot say that for all dealerships we have dealt with. We highly recommend this dealership.

The team at Richmond Ford West did a very solid job handling my auto purchase. The sales person, PJ, consistently exceeded my expectations and would have earned a five star rating if this review was only about him. The experience with the extended warranty discussion was excruciatingly contentious, and the usual rigmarole of paint protection etc annoying, but otherwise I would definitely recommend using this dealership.

Extremely pleased with my experience at Richmond Ford West. I grew up in Richmond but left to Florida in 2019 but was familiar with this particular dealer. From the minute I inquired about this 2013 BMW M3 I was treated with the utmost care. Misty was excellent to work with and any questions I had she was willing to do what it takes to get the answers I needed. I was an out of state buyer so the process was a bit more complicated but never once did I feel like I was treated any differently. I work in the car business so I have seen and heard some of the stories people experience. Rest assured I would fly back to Virginia twice over to buy a car from Richmond Ford West.

My mother drove her car into their establishment where she requested a diagnostic check up. After receiving the results of the diagnostic check my mother was advised to have her engine repaired with the repair costing about $1400. My mother agreed to having the repair done having been advised to do so by the professional Daniel rivera. The establishment began to move forward with the repair but as they began to take apart the engine they then discovered that there was an entirely different issue from the one that was presented to my mother initially. They informed my mother of this and advised that she not move forward with the initial repair as it would not solve her problem. Again my mother took the advice of the professional and chose not to move forward with the repair that she was told would solve her problem initially. She was then told that this new discovery would cost her an upwards of $3000 which is now more than double what she was quoted for the initial repair, unfortunately my mother was not prepared to pay that kind of money; especially after being told something initially. As a result of this my mother chose not to move forward with the secondary repair. At this the establishment then attempted to charge her the $1400 anyway. Mind you this is the same price of the repair that they advised that my mother not move forward with. My mother did not agree to pay as this would mean that she would be paying for a service that she did not receive; because again she was advised by the professionals at the establishment not to move forward with the service. She was then charged $350 claiming that it was compensation for the work that they had done thus far, after which the establishment then placed the remaining parts of her engine in a box forcing my mother to have her car towed away from the establishment after having driven there to get it checked. To sum this all up, they gave my mother the wrong information based off of a diagnostic check that they performed. They then asked her to pay for their mistake because they needed to pay their technician for the time spent taking the engine apart. Again the engine being taken apart was done based off of the incorrect diagnosis that was given by the professional at the establishment in the first place. Rather then to simply put the engine back in the condition that they received it in they attempted to charge her to do that as well and once she did not agree they placed her parts in a box and sent her on her way. If you are looking for good customer service, not to be taken advantage of or just basic human decency then this may not be the place for you.

Purchase went smooth with PJ on November 20th, 2021. When leaving after signing paperwork noticed a little Nick/crack in the display. PJ brought it up to service and they ensured they would order and have it replaced. They said it shouldn’t be so long because it’s the common 8” screen. Also, 3 weeks later while looking under the truck (which only 400 miles on it) I noticed a lot of nasty looking rust (attached pictures). Sent the pictures to PJ and he ensured they would follow up with me on it. Here I am over two months later and I can not get Jeff in service to call me back. Left voicemails, countless verbal messages where the service team said they would call back. They even said they would leave notes on his desk. This Friday they ensured me would call back at the end of the day, to no avail. While the sales team is good in the beginning, run from this dealer because of their service department. I can not imagine what the experience would be like it I had something major going on!

I recently purchased my first brand new car from here! I was extremely nervous about making such a big purchase but the team here was fantastic and really helped me through the whole process. Jeannine was incredible and sat with me to explain everything about the process and made me feel extremely comfortable!! I never feel like they are trying sell me things I don't need. They advise me what may need to be replaced sooner and how long something will last before it needs to be replaced. I initially placed a reservation for the new Bronco in January of 2021. Then, all sorts of shortages occurred and I was not able to actually convert to an order until October 2021. The staff and sales crew at Richmond Ford West really handled all of this and my questions prior to the order. My salesperson, Michael Johnson, really assisted me in modifying my order prior to the building solidified. They put up with all of my questions between the time my order was placed in the build actually occurred. The day that the vehicle was delivered, they called me within 30 minutes of it being unloaded off of the truck. That afternoon, Michael, finance manager BJ Brooks, and Joey Foust all made the experience go as well as could be. BJ offered me all of my options, explained everything very clearly, and facilitated the business aspect of all of this. Michael gave me as much time as I wanted to go through the car and look at it, both by myself and as well as with him, answering any questions if I had any. Joey came along to really shine in terms of adding some aftermarket products. I didn't drive away with my car that day, but, they took it to have the rest of the aftermarket modifications put on and I'll be picking it up as soon as it's done. They have gotten a customer for the long term. And if I might add, I highly suggest the ceramic window tint and self-healing paint protection film. Project the investment.

Our truck buying experience at Richmond Ford West was unlike any other - it was Fantastic! After buying several vehicles through several dealerships around Richmond, I would cringe over the thought of walking in to one. But this time, it was different. Joey and the team treated us like royalty. They all took the time to answer any question that we had. The process went like clockwork. In the past, I felt like the dealer would keep me there for hours, trying to sell me this or sell me that. This time we were driving our F-150 home in only 2 hours. We attended the monthly owners meeting, and I highly recommend it. It was very informative, showcasing all the amenities that this dealership has to offer. However, the “icing on the cake” came last week. I got a call from them explaining that they overlooked one of the rebates that I was due. The next day I was handed a check for $750. Unbelievable! What other dealership would do that? Thanks to Anna, Joey, and everyone there. I’ve been a Ford man forever, and I know where I’ll go to get my next one.

As an Entrepreneur, I had little to no time to search for a vehicle. A Ford representative encouraged me to contact this dealership to see if there was something that I would be interested. I was reluctant... because I live in South Carolina. I am sooooo GLAD that I followed through! As soon as I logged on to the site and saw the PERFECT car for me and it was priced RIGHT! They expedited the paperwork across state lines and had the car delivered to my front door! The entire process was SEAMLESS! The entire staff was helpful. Purchased a used car here at Richmond Ford West. The whole thing was very painless. The team was quick to answer any emailed questions and had my concerns looked at by the shop. The price was fair to start with so no real major price haggling here. I would buy from again and recommend this dealer.

Not good service, at all. We were interested in a ford st. We found one online and they said they had it on their lot, keys in hand. Well, we set up an appointment for the next morning and someone called us and confirmed the appointment. We brought all three kids there with us and well, it was sold the night before! Why didn’t you make sure of this before confirming? Why didn’t anyone call? They brought us in just to get us in the door to try to sell something else. Assumption? No. They brought around a whole different explorer to show us. And told us we could take this one for a test drive. What else? The vehicle they told us we could test drive was already sold! Meaning someone else bought it. Who would want their vehicle they just bought test driven by someone else? So when we complained they said they’d find out when they had some in transit and call us. Guess what? Never got a call. Original person was Kayla, salesperson lined up for the sale was Derrick. General manager at the Glen Allen location called me just to forget to inform me of the others coming in. Poor customer service. Sure these things may sell themselves but I will never give my business here again. Worth checking out other dealerships.

Highly recommend Richmond Ford West. I ordered a 2022 Maverick Hybrid in August 2021. Dario did a great job processing my order correctly. It finally arrived on Jan 19th, 2022. PJ, and Mike(sales manager) handled the delivery. All these guys make a great team. Very nice and professional. I have an appointment with Joey this Thursday the 27th to get the SIBL and tonneau cover done. I will revisit this review to add to it after the job gets done.

DO NOT GO TO RICHMOND FORD WEST SERVICE DEPARTMENT. I wish I could rate below a one star, and I would have looked at these reviews before bringing our Ford car here. This was by far the worst experience I have ever had at a car dealership. The only reason we went here was because it was a warranty problem and it was close to us at the time. It was like pulling teeth for them to act on the issue and do anything. I had to get in touch with the service manager to get anything done and inform them of a COPUS order to get a part. I dealt with Chris Coffey in service and later a lady that were the WORST. Never return my calls, emails, never put in a COPUS order for the transmission module until a month and a half after having our car, never got us a rental car after saying they were getting us one, and had our car for over two months. We had relocated at this time so we had to spend additional money to go and pick up our car. As I said, do not take your car here. They are were the worst in service and providing good customer service. They are a large dealership, so they don’t realize where the problem stems from.

Michael Johnson is beyond outstanding! He goes above and beyond and I truly appreciate that! Nowadays good customer service is rare but, Michael Johnson sets an example of what great work ethic is!!! Richmond Ford west has a Gem! They are lucky to have such a valuable employee! I’ll buy whatever Michael Johnson sells because I know he’s going to suggest exactly what I need based of his extremely knowledgeable experience!!!!

Shortly after we arrived, she introduced us to the teams—service, sales, guest services, finance and management and one of the sales managers, Ed Palmateer. Joey Foust, the guest services manager helped us decide on the different levels of ceramic paint protection and offered sun blocking glass options. His expertise and passion for the reliability of the products made us feel comfortable purchasing these add-ons. There was no pressure to make a decision. He gave us the information, explained the reasons for having them, and then left the decision to us. The finance manager, BJ Brooks, is low key, friendly and professional. He worked to get us a low interest rate, and spent time chatting with us. There was no endless back and forth negotiating—just a smooth and easy transaction. Super happy with our experience. After looking all over southern Virginia and into North Carolina, we finally came up to Richmond to see what they had. Not only did they have our vehicle we were looking for, the staff was amazing. Our salesman, Rodney, was super knowledgeable and friendly. Worked a great deal for us that we couldn’t say no. Definitely recommend to anybody looking for a truck. They’ve got some great ones. Would buy another truck but this one I just bought should last me until we have flying cars. Update: ended up getting my windows tinted, spray in bed liner, and the ceramic coating on the truck! It looks amazing. I couldn’t be more pleased with it. Joey did an amazing job setting it up, getting me scheduled and taking care of everything. Highly recommend getting the ceramic coating!
