These people are the most rude and unprofessional ever. I was trying to explain that I had just lost my job and that I would pay more once I started working again. He was horrible to me and was so rude and condescending. I tried to explain that this debt happened because I had to leave my townhouse to take care of my dying mother and then the pandemic hit shortly after and I didn't work for over a year. He talked over me and basically was like just because there was a pandemic doesn't mean you don't pay your debt. I was like kind of if the pandemic causes me to lose my employment. He was just awful and refused to send me to his supervisor/ manager. Also have heard they have been scamming people. So just be careful and get a lawyer. That's what I am doing.

I have been trying to contact this company for the past month with no response. The numbers they give you don’t even work after you press 1 for English. I have emailed and contacted and tried several times to settle my debt. They emailed me the QR code to handle my account but my phone won’t scan it through the computer screen and to add onto that, there is no way to access your account through the website. The rcc@Hunter Warfield email address they gave me, hasn’t responded to an email I sent 3 months ago. I never even received a letter in the mail to see if I could scan the QR code on there. I mailed a cashiers check two weeks ago and never even received a receipt or response to know if my payment was received or not. This is so unprofessional.

Yes - I am giving this collector 5-Stars! Like many people; I was nervous to contact HW to discuss a open collections account. I visited their website to gain a better understanding of the company and how to contact them about my debt. I read that HW went through a “restructure” to improve their procedures and reputation as a collector. I also learned that I could request to communicate via email only. This was a great option because NO ONE wants to fight with a collector over the phone and receive pesky phone calls at inconvenient times. I decided to email their general account and requested that a manager contact me to discuss my account. In my email; I also attached my resolution offer. Within 48-hours, I received an email response from collection Manager Ms.Payne. She was incredibly polite and understanding of my situation. She helped me negotiate a reasonable resolution with the original creditor in just a few short weeks. She also helped remove the debt from my credit reports, within a month (even though she said it could take up to 90-days)!! I was truly amazed at how quick and painless it was to resolve this issue. Never thought it was possible to feel happy and relieved after dealing with a collector! Thank you to Ms. Payne for your professionalism and assistance.

To anyone that will actually respond......I have had one of my accounts with you for a year and a half. Every single part of getting this account satisfied has been extreme torture with your company. Your staff is less than helpful and or knowledgeable. Then just when there is hope on the horizon that this account will actually go to court, again no response from your incompetent staff, your legal team, then your so called supervisor Jay was supposed to call me back April 13. I called him so many times, left messages and of coarse still no response. I would rather hear your organization has no desire to work my account versus this horrendous service. 539 Scott Avenue LLC

Extremely rude people, not a single one I’ve talked to has been anywhere close to a descent person. They are not helpful at all, and will argue with you to no end. No wonder they work for a debt collection agency.

This business is extremely disrespectful with terrible customer service. If I could leave no stars I would. I called to go over my account and my customer service representative was a complete simple minded jerks! He continued to talk over me & overpower the conversation. I’m a 19 year old college student. I thought he told me I owed $1,500. But upon repeating that number he told me I owe $15,000!!! And it wasn’t even a bill attached to my name. At first I tried to get his name to report to a supervisor, but the supervisor brushed me off and told me to call him back. A professional response would have been to follow up with a call, giving me the customer service representative’s name, and listening to my complaint willingly. If he woulda gave me his name I woulda list it right here.

They buy fraudulent debts from companies and try to call and collect imaginary debt from you. They just scammed us out of 800+ dollars over a debt that they made up . dont make the same mistake we did . PAY THE ORIGINAL PERSON OR COMPANY WHO YOU OWE MONEY TO .

HORRIBLE employees!! Very rude service. I was treated poorly and the agent on the phone asked if i had any questions i said yes and she changed her mind and said actually i dont want to stay on the phone with you if you’re not going to pay right now sorry not sorry and hung up on me. I had valid questions about my payment process and to amount Owed but she did NOT care.

If you owe a debt. Pay directly to who you owe. They buy information and will call you continuously for people you don’t even know in attempts to collect debt. I asked how they obtain numbers and they will not give you a clear answer. Also very rude.

Natalie Sandoval and Sophia "something" literally just made me cry. I have worked my butt off to save SOMETHING to try to settle, and then they laughed in my face. Told me if someone owed me money I wouldn't want to settle for something that low. I would hope that if the tables were turned, I would be a decent human being, ESPECIALLY during COVID, that would understand hard ships and be appreciate that someone is at least trying to make an effort. I was made to feel so belittled and honestly embarrassed. Yes, I was rude back, but NEVER have I been spoken too in such a rude manner by a "company". Guess the original creditor will never get paid, because I don't believe I will call them back ever again. It's pretty upsetting that every single review says the same thing. Maybe Hunter Warfield should employee better people and maybe their clients and debtors would have an overall better experience. Would give 0 stars if it were an option.

I had a really good experience with this company. Not all debt collectors are out to get you. Some of them are actually willing to work with you and help and that is hunter warfield. I owed some debt to my prior rental company. Hunter warfield gave me a lower price and allowed me to pay it within a fair time period. If I ever have to work with collections again I hope it be with you guys. Thank you (:

Our company has been using Hunter Warfield for five years now and they are exceptional. We receive funds from people we thought would never pay their bill. The negative reviews are from people who owe money and don't want to pay. Unpaid collections was a big loss for our company until we discovered Hunter Warfield. This business does the job it says it will.

Hunter Warfield will put something on your credit without permission of the Company they are reporting for. Always ask for proof from the Company they claim to represent and then follow up with that Company because you may find, they are falsely reporting as in my case. Be aware of this Company!! Hunter Warfield will respond with their phone # here as though they are interested in hearing from you. They are aware and have been sent a letter from the Company they have tried to collect for stating they never asked for Hunter Warfield to collect on this account and I have a -0- balance. ***If you believe you have been harassed or treated unfairly by Hunter Warfield, file a formal Complaint with the CFPB and/or the State Attorney General’s Office.

Horrible customer service, I spoke with Drake Brown. Explained my situation and he said “you sound like someone who doesn’t want to pay your debt”. Very unprofessional collection staff. They have poor customer service, lack respect for customers, condescending and argumentative behavior over the phone to say the least. If companies want their debts resolved they should send them to a more professional agency to manage, because they spend too much time letting their egos dictate who gets helped properly or not.

Honestly, I seriously doubted I would have a positive experience with Hunter Warfield when I read their reviews online. However after seeing their name show up on my credit report, and after my mom received a letter from them in the mail, I knew it was time to start making arrangements to pay this debt. First of all, if you're upset with how much you owe and want to dispute the amount- you need to contact the apartment complex/whoever is saying you owe them money. The job of this company isn't to make this problem disappear! I've contacted the apartment complex and have had some luck reducing the overall charges. I love that I've been able to have all my communications over email. I never had to call to set up my payments or with questions. They respond to their emails SO fast, usually within an hour. And the communications are extremely cordial and thoughtful. I have unfortunately had other experience with collections agencies and they were nowhere near this level of customer service. Overall, I know a lot of people reading this will think this review is fake or whatnot. And I totally get that because I had the lowest possible expectations for this company. But if you just give it a shot you will be so happy and relieved to start paying off your debt!!
Good morning, Stephanie. Thank you so much for your feedback! We are glad to hear you had such a positive experience with us! Please contact us at 813-283-4500 should you need any additional assistance. Have a great day!

DONT BE FOOLED BY THEIR RESPONSE TO OUR REVIEWS. They don’t answer the number given, nor do they respond to the email!!! THEY’RE jokes! They’re just as incompetent as the clients they represent. I paid my account and I spoke to a representative saying they already reported to the credit bureaus saying it was paid, it updates every month. Well it’s a new month and they DID report to the credit bureaus, but they reported my account is still open and nothing has changed. They will bug you and harass you and update your information all the way up until you actually pay and then they disappear.

No one is answering the phone and they’re not reporting my payments this is frustrating. You can’t blame covid for this because if you’re able to report to the credit bureau you can answer the phone. This unacceptable!!! And I considering canceling my debit card to prevent them taking any more payments. This does not feel right to me.I am moving soon and need this off my credit report ASAP but this company is making it hard to get things done when the website appears to not be working properly. The website then refers you to number that no one answers. It’s just a big run around.

HORRIBLE COMPANY!!!! I have contacted them many times about correspondence they have sent me many times. I have informed them it isn't my debt and whomever does their investigative work needs to be fired. I have gone as far as having a lawyer contact them to stop harassing me for this debt. If they had read the lease agreement they would have realized when they pulled MY name from google that I am 10 years older than the person they are going after, my husbands name is different, and I only have 1 child NOT 3. Idiots work here who clearly do NOT know what they are doing.

First off, I was pretty nervous when I was called by this company, since my last apartment sent the debt here, and also reading the reviews. This was my first time dealing with a collections agency, a college student that always lived with his parents, getting a call from a collector can get kind of scary in a way. I call the agency and they were very helpful, customer service is pretty quick so, points for that, and they clarified everything and went straight to the point. One advice, if you call this agency, simply keep your cool and stay calm, they're humans too just like you, dealing with agencies isn't the worst thing in the world, I payed my debt and got the reciept in 24 hrs, hopefully it turns out good for everyone else.

Soooo I literally kept getting called over and over for the past 2 weeks now multiple times a day pretty much every single day outside of weekends. Kept calling me at work and then again during the evening, none of which I answered because I don't answer unknown numbers, and if it was THAT important someone could've left a voicemail instead of CONSTANTLY blowing up my phone I don't know y'all. I did not get a moment's peace until I just blocked the number after you guys tried to keep calling me from different yet similar numbers when I didn't pick up. Last time I actually had a conversation with one of you was probably the middle and end of last year. The first one was a short conversation because the person telling me what I owed couldn't tell the truth to save his life and kept fumbling over what I really owed and the actual facts about the call. He said one thing one minute and another thing the next and kept trying to talk over me so I hung up on him, Im not one for the bs. The next one I got a call and they thought they reached my fiance and I told them no it's me, (Didn't give my name) and they kept trying to see if I was the other name on the debt, and after I said no they continued to try to get my name and information but couldn't tell me THEIR name and info and what organization they were calling from so I knew who I was talking to and not just giving my name and things out to someone I didn't know so it was another hang up mid call. I figured it was a debt collector by the names they asked for (personal info) because nobody calls me pertaining to the name they asked for ever, and I lived with her in a in-debt apartment for a few months. Yall are way too shady, annoying and rude for me. Sorry, honest review.

If Google allowed negative star ratings, Hunter Warfield would be on the top of the list for worst companies. They have harassed me for over 2 years about a debt that did not exist when I moved out of the apartment complex before the end of the lease. I've even contacted the complex and they show no such balance owed, but Hunter Warfield claims it was directed to them from the complex. They are rude and desperate, they call anyone and everyone (including stalking your social media accounts) to demand your contact information. I had to block their countless numbers after they told me "we don't care who pays us but someone is going to" HUNTER WARFIELD SHOULD BE REMOVED FROM THE BBB LIST

Would give them a negative if I could. I had an account that was not accurate which I provided proof and they still tried to jack up my prices. When they did get it corrected they jacked up the price again. It let's me know that they bought my debt for pennies and really tried to get over on me. Needless to say it is a very drawn out process and apartments should use another 3rd party.

Just got off the phone with them. Well I disconnected the call with them. Completely rude. They don’t help or have sympathy for no one. I got a collection that’s not suppose to be under my name and yet I’m still tryna pay on it because it’s making me look bad. I call to make a decent payment and they tell me that my payment was not big enough. They told me my payment had to be over a thousand dollars and there is no exceptions, how pathetic. It’s disgusting how these people talk to you. IF I COULD GIVE 0 STARS I WOULD BECAUSE THEY DON’T DESERVE ONE.

My mother has been hounded by this company for years for absolutely no reason. She is a home owner and has been for the past 50 years. She has told them over and over that her information was stolen and she has never lived in an apartment. Well today a representative named Jorge threatened her and told her he was going to have her arrested for fraud/come to her home. Now my mom is sitting in the ER with an high elevated blood pressure- if my mother has a stroke behind this guys “scare tactics” we will lawyer up and sue.

This company deserves zero stars. A very sketchy company with unsafe and non-professional practices. They keep calling me for a debt that I already took care of along time ago. They added the debt back on my report. * I don't know why they did that but it just makes me think that this place is full of scammers. On numerous occasions, I told them to stop harassing me I try to explain to them that the account was paid. No, they didn't stop there they call my sister and they call me and at work. * How a reliable honest company will do that called the place where you work. I'm getting ready to hired a professional to take action because this is insane. I have records of the many calls they make here at work and my personal phone. Stop harassing me at work. im not going to pay something that i already to care 3 years ago. this was already off of my credit report, and you guys added it .

This is the worst settlement company I have ever work with. I was trying to settle my debt with them and asked if I can make a payment plan. They offered me a lump sum amount of money which I don’t have. I was asking my husband to help me to pay this off and he agreed to it. My husband paid down payment of $1.500 and the balance I can pay in 3 payments but then my husband fell while he is at work and can’t go to work until now. I was trying to explain to them that I cannot make the payment for the balance on the account, I can only make a little money until everything goes back to normal. What they told me is so surprise me. They have no mercy by saying that my account is now being handled by their attorney and my balance will go back to the original amount. No wonder if they have 1 star. Never settle your debt with this company.

They wont provide you with proof of payment agreement. They wont provide you with proof of payments. Sounds pretty untrustworthy. They claim they are not legally required to provide any proof off payment or a receipt. They will only provide you with a confirmation number and a reminder that your payments are due nothing more. They will only tell you the amount owed only verbally not in writing.

Why is it that this debt collection agency not respond to emails? I've had a collection show up on my credit report, so I paid it off and sent out an email stating that the debt has been paid. I'm not 100% sure if the debt will be off my credit report, so I sent out an email, but no response. H&W, do a better job at communicating with your clients!

The gentleman, Jason, I worked with was great and very compassionate to my situation. I needed to clear out a full balance in order to move into another building that required me to pay off this debt. I asked if they can help reduce the amount owed and they said they would knock 25% off and require me with a letter of satisfaction to provide the new building with. Overall, very satisfied with the experience.
S
Plain harassment even when you are making payments. Apartment complex claiming they had damage to apartment for the same issue I had claimed on my move in sheet. I submitted it to the apartment complex and the debt collector and both told me I still owe money for the previous tennets damages .....absolute scam.

Had one of the workers called me today and I asked if I could get an email confirming our transaction and confirming to get a written letter of a paid in deletion of a debt sent to me asap. The worker had to ask his manager therefore we spoke and said he couldn't do this thru his email and he isn't able to. So why is it other debt collectors that my friends and family have used were able to get simple emails verifying their actions. I understand that they offered an online letter within 48 hrs but it wasn't "guranteed" so why can't I get a second confirmation thru my email if I am not guranteed. After our convo I said I won't pay in full without that email with what we discussed and the manager basically hung up on me. Horrific customer service....

Very sketchy company with unsafe practices. Attempted to pay off a debt that I know, but they refuse to send paperwork out in regards to it until after I pay. I refuse to authorize auto drafts of what I consider to be a large amount of money from my account without something in writing concerning my agreement. I’ve been collecting for years, even for the government and have never heard of someone refusing to send a payment arrangement in writing, but expects me to make minimum payments of $850! That’s outrageous! And I will be reporting this to the BBB!! Not too mention that they’ve been on my credit since October and hasn’t made efforts to reach me, if it wasn’t for me checking my credit, I would’ve never known!

Wouldn’t even give this company 1 star, I’ve called several times to resolve my debt, I’ve requested a breakdown of all charges and they keep saying they have sent it but I have never received it. Finally I get an email and it’s password protected and they won’t even help me access the email. I’m so confused why everyone is so rude at this company. I asked for help with the email they sent and the manager told me he can’t help me. All he can do is process my payment even though I’m asking for a breakdown before I make any payment. They have hung up on me several times when I’m not even being rude I’m just asking for help. The manager says I have to request a tutorial in a smart tone. If a email is password protected and in the email it says to click a link for password or call a number and when u do so u still get no password to open the email. There’s no point to call or talk to these people they don’t care about resolving anything. I’m trying to pay my debt but make sure it’s my debt and not added on they won’t allow me to.

The only reason these people are even getting one star is simply to be able to post my remarks. This company has done nothing but harass me for years. While speaking with a rep, I informed her that the charges were erroneous and I would get them reversed. After flat out being told that reversing the charges would never happen and quite a few choice words from their rep, I hung up. I was able to have the charges reversed within 48 hours. Thanks for the many years of harassment!!!! You’re lucky I don’t sue.

I wish I could have give half a star because this is the worse credit collection agency I have ever dealt with. They are rude and don't care anything about the customer. And tells me they are the legal department. Since when do a legal department handle debt collection. I asked that they provide a letter stating once payment is received for the agreed upon amount that my account is settled in full and they tell me they have to abide by the client's rule therefore they can't provide a letter. Why would I give you a payment and then you come back and say I still owe you more!!!!!!

I received a letter about an account with my name on it that i had no idea about, so i called to verify there wasn't a mix up. I politely told the woman that i never heard of this company or the lender/account and then she was extremely nasty with me and telling me i should know these things and hung up on me when i was trying to figure out why they sent me this letter. I called back and was fortunate to talk with someone that told me the letter was sent by mistake. Sorry for anyone else that actually has to deal with that woman. Also, It seems this company just sends peoples personal information to anyone.

I will be filing a lawsuit against this company!!!I have been trying to call them for the last week.. I have left voicemails several times and every time I call I get the “your call is very important to us” message but nobody ever picks up. I spoke to somebody while setting up my payment who was polite and helpful but now that the money has been taken and I need a receipt NOBODY CAN answer the phone! I’m worried that my money didn’t even go to the people that it’s owed to. I was able to call them 3 times while setting up the payment and having to call to switch my card that was used . But as soon as it’s paid in full now all of a sudden I cannot get through.
K
You will only obtain half decent customer service if you immediately own up to a debt that you clearly have questions about. Depending on which representative you reach you will be manipulated, conned, spoken to rudely, treated insignificantly, and/or occasionally you will reach someone whom will be kind enough to attempt to assist. They are like vultures in their approach and will call harass you many times a day regardless if dispute or accept the debt. If you land yourself working with this agency I do wish you the best and hope you can find a better experience. As well, I caution you to document your call, collect Names and Call Reference Numbers and the context of your call. Keeping a collection call log will help mediate many other complications you could run into and the inconsistency of the information you will be advised. Good Luck

I had recently paid off the full balance , that both me and my ex spouse incurred together while married at the time. I Managed to take on the entire debt without him. We owed an apartment complex, that I tried to pay back directly, but I was told to call the Hunter Warfield collection agency to settle this debt for good. I called and payed over the phone on 02/22/19 and resolved the matter. I called to verify with the apartment complex that payment was received. All has been confirmed , with correspondence from both parties involved. I am relieved to say , that I owe nobody now🧘🏽♀️

Stay away from them and don't make any deals. I removed their false info from my credit but they have been calling and harassing me for years. When I talk and explain the situation that I'm not responsible from the debt they were very rude and yelling on the phone. They just want to get hard earned money out from your pocket. They will not help you to solve any problems. Hunter DO NOT write anything under my review.

Louis is amazing. My husband had a debt and he reduced it in half, waived a system fee and also removed it from his report. There was no run around and no back and forth. He was never irate and completely understanding. This was the first time I ever talked to a debt collector and didnt have to yell. He was a very nice guy.

John Miller was exceedingly helpful and understanding. He help me understand my options and get everything taken care of quickly. Thank you for acting like a kind human being.

I wasn't a customer. They have been calling my home phone pretty much daily for months on end, but hanging up on the first ring. When I was FINALLY able to grab the phone number, I called them, and they were looking for someone I'm not even related to. However, they seemed nice enough and assured me I'd get off their calling list.

Worst company on this planet! I hope it shuts down soon because of how unprofessional and people with no intellect work here! Pathetic! Also do not apply to work here either!! You will be treated like trash.

Fraud! Be careful of this company. They use business listings to generate lead lists and produce fake debt demand letters. This is all very concerning when we run a legitimate business and these con-artists try to steal our money. We will also have our corporate attorney contact them with a cease and desist letter should they to my demands lightly.

Just got a call from them out of nowhere, lying to me about our old landlord. Do not trust them. Wouldn’t work anything out with me. Was rude, lots of attitude. Lying about me being sent a notice when nobody has emailed, called, or texted me for months. It has been 8 months since I left and this is the first I’m hearing of it. Wouldn’t give me his name, either. Probably a scam

I was contacted by this company on multiple occasions. They were rude and would not be cooperative with making payment plans. They gave me an account number and password so I can log in and pay. Unfortunately for me, I paid unaware that they took $2,000 out at once almost my entire paycheck. They sent out no receipt to my email and now I’m unable to log into the account to dispute this. I never thought I’d ever thought about suing a company. I know others have similar experiences and no one deserves to be treated poorly and to be scammed.

They are the scourge of the Earth. Yeah, yeah. Hyperbole. Whatever. I had to medically terminate my lease with Square9 apartments. I provided proper legal and medical documentation. The apartment rejected documentation and sold the account to these vile humans. As I am now a single mom, struggling to make ends meet as it is, I can't pay them the money that I never should have owed in the first place. Also, this was during a global pandemic that put a large part of the population out of work. I digress. The sum they say I owe continues to accrue interest. It is on my credit as being in collections. And now extremely derogatory. It made my credit score drop by 90+ points! So, not only am I struggling financially, there isn't any hope of better outlook because of these vultures.

I have been harassed by this company, calling me about a false debt and when I explained the situation they argued with me and disrespected me, I then tried to communicate the situation to two other people working for this company and they all respond the same way, they raise their voice, talk over you. So far I've talked to 4 people working here and they're all weird and crazy. I'm basically being harassed for a false debt and I'm starting to think this is not a real collections agency do not trust them

Harassing phone calls before the debt was even placed with them. Told me they would report to credit even if I was in the process of disputing the debt, which isn't legal. Very rude people.

My collections representative David Morales was fantastic. He understood that my original collection amount was too much for me to pay and got my total amount significantly reduced so that I could finally get this removed from my credit. 5/5

Dogwood Creek Apt homes tried to charge over $1k in bogus fraudulent charges upon moving out (which we always paid our rent on time every month for over 3 years). We took pictures, and the apt had no damages whatsoever. I contacted my attorney and she send multiple letters to no response from the property managers nor the owners. I never received any collection letters or invoices to my new address. I only received one phone call from this collection agency of which I gave the man on the phone my lawyer's name and number to call her. Never heard anything back. Then yesterday, I saw where they put it as a Collection account on my credit report (I have perfect credit) which made my credit score drop 63 points. My attorney is sending out more correspondence as I am typing this to get this removed from my credit or we will sue.

I'm not sure why such negative reviews my experience with Hunter Warfield and their reps was very pleasant, I must admit at first I was worried because of the reviews. However, I know different situations vary. I called and settled my account in full when I had all of the money and they even let me settle at a smaller amount than what was owed. I received my confirmation letter in 24-48 hours as promised, digitally of course. So glad this is over with and the debt is paid.

This credit company has been calling me back to back for months now. They claim that they have been trying to contact me / sending me emails since March . I have yet to receive an email. I have no problem paying off my debts, but they won’t send me the correct information , so I literally don’t know how ! I asked the lady what the email address was that they send their emails from , she didn’t know . Second time they called I asked if they could send a bill & asked if they had the correct email down for my account . I have yet to receive a bill / email. At this point they are harassing me . I have tried to work with them , but these people won’t send me any information on how to pay off my debt . They are hurting my credit and I don’t appreciate it at all . Any information on how I can receive the correct information so I can pay off my debts would be greatly appreciated.

My experience is: I rented an apartment from grey parc of macon (very dishonest people). Due to COVID 19 I had to move before the lease was done. I contacted the leasing office and explained my dilemma and asked for the total amount I would owe to leave in good standing with their company. WELL, after I paid the amount given to me a month later I receive a collection letter from you Hunter Warfield for a fictitious amount that was never discussed before. I informed your collection agent on the phone and requested this amount be verified and I wanted a phone call from your client. That verification never arrived nor did the phone call ever happen. After waiting a couple of days I paid 1/2 and indicated I would pay the remaining amount in 30 days. Today, May 29, 2021 I received an email from you stating the remaining amount would be automatically withdrawn from my account on June 8, 2021. Now I have more unnecessary problems that started from your client miscommunications with their tenants. Keep in mind this extra money that I supposedly owe you is still not verified. As far as I’m concerned, you are running a scam. But because I’m concerned about scammers putting fictitious information on my credit report I am caught up in this scam by paying this money. Between you, Hunter Warfield and Grey Parc of Macon, America is great again!

I've been payments every month since this collection account hit my credit. I called 6/1/2020 to make a payment and this rude lady informs me that the last payment they received was in April. So I explained to the lady that I even called in to make the payment early. I asked her why no one contacted me the next day when it declined and she claimed that they tried calling multiple times (never) and sent an email (didn't get one). I asked her why would I stop making payments now when she can look at my account and see that I've been paying every month. Her was response was will you did have a declined payment and I told her that when they reached out to me I made the payment the same day so how does that really count. Then she said that they can only call 301 area codes in my area and cannot call 202 area codes because of the restrictions placed because of COVID-19. Never heard of such a thing before, I've even googled and haven't seen anything online about that. I asked for a supervisor because she was so rude and the supervisor was rude too and told me that it was my responsibility to make sure the payment with through and that it's not their responsibility to reach out to me for a payment but they sure as heck reached out to me when they first received the debt. My experience with the reps prior to this day have been good and professional. I will be glad when this debt is paid off and gone. Their lack of communication sucks especially for a person that has been paying for the last 9 months and even paying early on occasions.

The apartment I used to stay had 2 months termination fee which we agreed to pay in 12 months. I paid 4 months within 1st week of every month, and then in Jan 2021, their website was not functioning properly for payments. They did not fix but referred my account to debt collection. Called up Hunter Warfield, and probably my luck was right that I landed up talking to JENNIFER FLOWER from the company, who patiently listened and understood the complete scenario and worked out several options for me to pay out the reported Debt amount. I was surprised and so happy that Jennifer provided me a healthy discount to the total debt amount. She truly understood the situation which unfortunately the apartment office never did. "Jennifer, you truly connect with people with ease which not only allow them comfort but hep out with plans. Debt collection should always be exactly the way you worked on it with me. " Million Thanks from me to Jennifer and Hunter Warfield team.

Honestly, they have been amazing to us. Everyone has been professional and considerate to our situation. We were not aware of our debt, they let us negotiate it, and gave us all the steps needed to resolve the account with the credit agencies after we were mislead into doing a dispute on the paid account. Collections are embarrassing at best and never once did they make us feel bad for our situation thank you for your work!

The customer service at this company is -0. They are so rude and very condescending. I just got off the phone with a “manager”. Who said 1 this is a courtesy. 2. This is a courtesy. 3 this is a courtesy. He advised it would take 90 days to remove my information from the credit agency’s because they are providing a courtesy to me. I offered to pay 50% of my debt to have it removed and they stated no. He would not take no less than 30%. Just very unprofessional as if speaking to me interrupted his day. This is not the way to do business.

Disclosure this is not my debt. Called for friend Company has no respect for anyone regardless of any situation. Drake Brown was so rude and kept saying you just don’t want to pay. Drake had me muted the entire time I was speaking because it was so quiet and I finally said are you there are you there and it took him 3 are you there’s before he clicked back on and said yes. They Sent a notice with a payoff quote and call in and magically it’s doubled. Scare tactics are old and don’t work. Drake in my opinion you should find a respectable company to work for.

These people were extremely rude from the beginning of a phone call. Although they require you to enter an account number to IDENTIFY YOURSELF, they immediately start saying they don't know who you are and act like you're inconveniencing them. While attempting to do them the favor of reporting a death for which there was no will, estate, or money, they hung up on me. Rude, low quality company, low quality employees. I would NEVER hire these clowns to recover debt for me.

If I could give no stars I would. Out of three people I was the only one attempting to make a payment. I called several times about the monthly payment being too high. Whatever female rep I spoke with forwarded me to an automatic payment system. That’s how I made the first payment of roughly 175. I’m a single mother with a check to check job. I’ve attempted to send in documents so the company would take off one duplicate payment. Told to contact the property who of course did not respond. No help but whatever HW job is only to collect I assume. I finally got one other party to make payments with me. The male reps in the pre-legal department wanted me to answer questions for myself and my sister to pull my file just so I could pay on the account. I told them I would disconnect as I wasn’t getting anywhere and was trying not to be rude, have my sister call back to speak with them, and was threatened with further legal action if I did. All I wanted to know was if they could lower the 168/mo payment offer online or send me to the system I’ve used before to make a payment. Other creditors have worked with me and are getting payments rather 5, 20, or 50 until I can make a higher payment. I get I owe. Last I recall creditors are not to harass you and the ones that have and do work with me have been paid in full or getting the balance paid off. Maybe I’m the delusional one thinking they will assist me with making a payment.

After reading the reviews. The best thing to do is call the police on them. Since they can take money but no receipt. No email ? Sounds like a scam. UPDATE. 2 HOURS INDEEP TO HAVE A POLICE REPORT AND FOR HUNTER TO RESPOND. RUDE. RUDE. RUDE. NEVER SEND MONEY THROUGH THEM. CALL WHOM EVER YOU OWE n pay them. They are a nightmare ! The only good thing they know to do is HANG UP , HARRAS AND IGNORE ! IGNORANT COMPANY. What you do in life always have a great way of paying it right back. I would never stand with my head high with a company like this. If you work here. Do better. Or stay in a shameless company full of bad vibration and laziness. Lack of experience and work ethic

I have been trying to get in contact with this company for over a month! Left voice mails, no response. When I finally got someone on the line she advised me that they don’t send emails and that my debt was with a different attorney. She provided me a number for this attorney and once I called the number was not in service. I can never get anyone on the line and that is a huge inconvenience. How am I supposed to pay a debt if I can’t get in contact with anyone or if no one returns a phone call.

They purchased a fraudulent debt from an apartment complex that I have nothing to do with, and have been entirely unwilling to remove it a year later even after proving it wasn’t real. I received a letter from them that I owed money to my ex landlord for a water bill. I called them and told them I have a cancelled check for this account from two months ago and I sent it over to them while on the phone with the agent. He said it is for the exact amount they have claimed you owe so let me clear this up for you. I asked him to send me a letter that it was cleared or at least a courtesy call back and neither happened. Now two weeks later I called back giving them plenty of time to get back to me and they told me they cannot send out letters stating the case is closed they can only give verbal confirmation. So they cannot write a letter to confirm the account is closed? They can certainly write plenty of letters to claim you owe someone money that you never owed! Bottom of the barrel company with extremely rude customer service. If you hire them, I would see your company in the same light.

Worse person I ever dealt with!!!! No understanding nor willing to provide assistance. The person I spoke with, Carlos, kept reading off rights and full of threats. Extremely rude and inconsiderate. I simply asked that if I can be given a deadline date to pay the settlement and a letter of confirmation for the debt to be resolved once payment of settlement recieved but he kept insisting that I'm in no position to ask for any assistance other than pay big lumpsum now with credit card or wait for unimaginable consequences!!!! And alast he put me on long hold and told me that maybe another agent can make me understand better!!!!

I called into the agency about an apartment that was on my account. When they new owners took over the apartments, they lied about the amount I paid for my deposit, which I kept my lease thank goodness, they lied and said the keys were not turned in and they were. I asked for a settlement offer on my amount the gentleman was very nasty! He said it's only good for one day and hung up the phone in my face! I myself did collections for years, yes you need to be firm with the Customer but no you don't have to be nasty that makes you not want to give them anything. And it's quite a few of them that ate just DIRTY people! Get some better professional people to collect in your firm! Will be reporting to the better business bearu!

I would leave a 0 if I could. I called to dispute a collection I saw on my credit report. It is incorrect and not mine. The first person I spoke to was rude and condescending and did not listen to a word I said. The second person wasn't rude perse, but was not even trying to be helpful. I tried asking to speak to a manager and was told I would not be able to be transferred to a manager. She talked over me the whole time and didn't let me speak. I could hear children running and playing (which isn't the problem) that in itself let me know there just wasn't a manager around to speak to. Neither employee could tell me what the breakdown of the collections were for and just kept offering me lower amounts to pay instead of listening and trying to help. Overall a horrible customer service experience. Unprofessional, unhelpful and rude. If you have to deal with them, I feel your pain.

I see nothing but bad reviews on here mostly, but when I had contacted them about an apartment I had with an ex they had offered me a pretty decent settlement number, unfortunately I could not take that at the time. But since I have been paying off monthly I know exactly when it will come out and when it will be paid off. They also send me secured emails which you have to enter in a pin. I never got a pin, but all you have to do is communicate to them. Do not get mad at the people on the phone they are literally just doing their job. Especially when you know you are in debt. Just pay it. Even the smallest amount will help you.

If I could leave Zero stars I would! An error on the apartment complex I previously lived at. They sent it to this company once I saw it to try to get it corrected. I spoke to the apartment complex they were made aware of the balance and corrected it. However this is where Hunter Warfield horrible customer service and lazy work ethic comes into play. I’ve sent the corrected balance from the apartment complex to hunter warfield as they requested. For them to tell me that they have to receive it from the apartment complex. Which I was fine with. Two weeks go by I call again speak with the apartment complex who assured they’ve sent the corrected final statement over to hunter warfield. However hunter warfield refuses to acknowledge the documents. I’ve been getting the run around with them for three months trying to settle payment of $98.00 smh. Besides the fact that the call center personnel being rude and disrespectful and refusing to let you speak to a supervisor upon many request. What I find ironic is that I saw an award for customer service on their website...must’ve been an in-house award 🤷🏼♂️. As I called three times today one representative stated that she didn’t see any emails on the account that I sent when I knew it was a lie from other representatives saying that see it as I sent one while being on the phone on a previous date with one of them who verified receiving the email. Lying disrespectful and horrible customer service. If you’re thinking about using them please don’t.

I had a account from a old Landlord that was not legit I have documents to prove everything. However that's a court matter between them and me. I decided to get it off my history . So I actually called to pay! the manager was rude a extremely disrespectful . Simply because I asked for a receipt. They try to pretend like there different and professional. But they are all a bunch of losers with a tough guy attitude. Not one of them was helpful or kind. My advice to you is mess with them as much as they do with you. Play there game against them waist there time and keep offering less and less every time you talk to them . Its a waiting game the longer they have the account the less they will settle it for. They are bottom feeders. Don't expect anything but the worst from them they are slugs.

Carlos(I think that was his name)took a chance on me and helped me tremendously. My debt was something that has been holding me back for the past 5 years. I paid down my settlement and it was off my credit report in 2.5 weeks. Just be respectful and they will take care of you. Thank you HW.

Honestly if I could give the no start I would. These are the rudest and most unreasonable set of people and that speaks volumes of their company. We were trying to settle our debt with them but they kept stating they they would take us to court and that we are unwilling to make payments. They have no empathy and really with this type of customer's service they would most likely get no payment made or gain for their company. They need to work on their approach. Again I they are extremely and disgustingly rude and lack of any form of respect. They are theifs and uncompromising. They consistently talk over you and they don't even pronounce names correctly. It's better not to even speak to them at all. There is no point.

Unbelievable called 2 months ago. They agreed to take off credit report and close account and show account paid. Still doesnt even say account paid and still on credit report. They havnt done anything. When you ask to see documents of what they sent or that accounts paid they just have reciept of what you give them thats it. They tell you things that they end up not doing and when you call them they hang up on you, give you attitude, and then they tell you to go figure it out and fix it yourself they cant help. This collections agency is a scam. When you try to talk and figure solution they just repeat same thing and basically say its your problem now.

This company is ridiculous! They have been contacting me to pay a debt. I agreed to pay the debt once they furnished the invoices to show what the debt was for. I have been asking for this information since January. They have not sent it. They sent a "secured" email that had nothing attached. The also sent a letter that said they were still working on obtaining the information and they would not hit my credit. This letter was date June 20th. On the 23rd, they hit my credit and destroyed it. They have yet to provide the items that I have asked for and still call weekly for me to pay them. They are the worst company I have ever dealt with!

How is this place even in business and can I give them 0 stars? They are the biggest scam artists I've ever dealt with in my life..They offered me a settlement and then charged me the full amount anyways. Then they were super argumentative and pretended like they didn't hear it. Everyone was incredibly unprofessional including the manager...I hope every single one of the people lose their job...I've never been so mad (or written a review) in my life..Absolutely worst business I've came across in my 34 years of life

I have been trying to settle a debt that my landlord sent to collections 2 years ago without notifying me in any form. It has been over 60 days and still NO paperwork from the company to verify the debt. I need to pay it anyways as I am moving soon (although they did not honor the 30 day debt verification window nor have they returned phone calls for the last 60 days since the initial call). I have to call multiple times a day as all calls get routed to a full mailbox at a random extension and then hang up, I can't even leave them my contact information. Calls in the morning, midday, afternoon - none connect to an actual person, and I am calling to PAY. I do not have the time to fight this as I need to settle it to get into a new place, however you can be assured that a report will be filed with various credit unions and the BBB. This is beyond shady.

Very rude they do not listen to what you are speaking about, they do not have any proof of what happen and what they have it not saying anything about the situation.

It's not like debt collection companies are known for being nice and polite but these guys are honestly the worst! I called to get information for an account I needed to settle. It went to collections since I changed addresses and never got the bill. The rep was rude, condescending, and repeated the same things over and over. I asked for a manager because I couldn't believe how arrogant he was. The manager was even more awful! I was asking questions to understand how the settlement process works and he says "It's not my job to answer your questions, it's my job to make you pay the bill. I'm not going to argue with you." Awful company and even more terrible employees! My advice, settle the account with your pin on the website. I saved $300 more than the 15% discount they offered on the phone.

UPDATE: They reached out but refuse to speak via email. Not helpful in the slightest what a waste of time. Currently disputing a debt, I waited a month for a "investigation" and provided a lot of documentation (emails between the property manager and I, move-out statements) with CLEAR discrepancies. Today, on their last day to respond I was sent a very short email, stating the information was verified. How could the information be verified? I requested the supporting document from the creditor when I started the "investigation". I had legitimate proof of inconsistencies in the charges owed. I have never been in a situation where trying to communicate with a company is like pulling teeth. I dealt with a "Consumer Collections Manager" first and within a couple emails he became rude and condescending which I did nothing to warrant that attitude.Once I was transferred over to the "support team" I received minimal responses, no information on what they were looking into, what verification they received etc. Abysmal communication skills for a staff whose whole purpose is to collect money. If they actually cared about their real client which is who they are collecting from they would receive more money. Hunter Warfeild claims they don't purchase the debt but obviously they aren't working for free? They're obviously getting a cut of whatever is collected . Which is why they do bogus investigations so "verify" debt just so their percentage cut is a little higher.

This is the most horrible company I've ever had dealings with. If zero stars were possible that would be it! After you pay they refuse to take stuff off your credit report and won't even send a letter saying the debt has been paid. Now because of their horrible business practices, I am about to lose the house of my dreams because they refuse to remove the collects account from my credit! I guess I am going to have to get a lawyer for credit fraud!

The agent that called me was VERY disrespectful. These people are not allowed to call me any longer. I’m working on my credit and looking to pay off my debts but I will no longer speak to any agents from this company if their customer service representatives are taught to be so rude.

I find it funny that your information shows that you're closed yet my phone rings incessantly until 10pm at night. I've spoken with your rude and extremely unpleasant staff numerous times to say I AM NOT THE PERSON Y'ALL ARE LOOKING FOR! 24. Thats the number of times my phone rang with the ID saying this company name. I don't know how many different numbers you have but I will continue to block them. NOT to mention that when I do answer and say I am not this person, your staff insinuates lying. Disgusting people!

Honestly I cannot stress enough to pay and get them off of my back. The agents are RUDE ! The policy on not sending confirmation of payment is OUTRAGEOUS. I work in collections and this is by far the most unorganized company I’ve ever dealt with. Who doesn’t send out confirmation when taking or setting up payments.
