    Regions Bank Reviews

Easily one of the worst banks I've ever dealt with. They never answer the phone, they take forever to do anything. There's a reason there's a class action lawsuit being built right now for their overdraft fee abuse.(psst, you can join this lawsuit if they've rearranged charges to overdraft your account) Like many others I've got overdraft protection that's never worked. Don't bank with regions unless you want to have to bring a class action lawsuit against them to stop over drafting your account.

Just wanted to say how kind and helpful the two people that helped me today were! I wish I would have asked for their names but a gentleman and a lady helped me out today regarding some ignorance on my part about overdraft policies and whatnot. I just wanted to say how much I appreciate their kindness and thanks to them I’ll be able to afford a few Christmas presents AND my bills :) hopefully they’ll see this and recognize my name but you know who you are and I just wanna say thank you from the bottom of my heart! -Bailey Parrish

I went to the branch today to get my account squared away. After going through the drive thru for service I placed my whole paycheck into my account. I went to purchase groceries from Sam's Club. Upon checking out at the register I was informed that my debit card was having issues. I called back to the branch to find out what the issue was I was told that my funds would not be available until after midnight. I wish I could have been informed of this at the time of the transaction. I wouldn't have placed all the money in the account. When I started this account in Memphis TN I was charged $50 for getting money on my check at time the account was made. That was enough anger to begin with but then to pay money to keep the account active today then why should I have to wait until midnight??? The paycheck is from this state & from one of the largest companies in the state as well. I do not recommend this bank to anyone. There's other banks that are more informative with their practices. Offering an apology for such issues is not ok. I feel that there needs to be easier ways of handling these kind of issues. I will be asking from now on on ALL transactions that are being made.

If I could give them no stars I absolutely would. Tellers are rude, my lawyer called the bank because they were giving me problems and he couldn’t even get straight answers and the branch VICE PRESIDENT said she didn’t know anything about me. I will never recomend regions to anyone. I filed a formal complaint and bet $100 that they won’t call me about it. My fiancé banks there and I recently opened an account to make it easier for us. We will both be taking our business elsewhere. Update: no one returned my call about the formal complaint like I guessed. My fiancé’s chip didn’t work so he ordered a new one with the same VICE PRESIDENT. He told her he didn’t live at the address on the I.D, had her mail the card to our new address and it went to the old one anyway. Called to fix the situation, the women answered the phone laughing and proceeded to ask him “security questions” that didn’t pertain to him. He wanted to make sure it wasn’t going to shut off his card. She said she couldn’t make any changes because he didn’t answer the security questions right, even though he had his social and pin etc. she couldn’t make any changes, yet she shut off his card!!! In the middle of running errands and paying bills. So we had to get it fixed at a drive through because the lobby isn’t open on saturdays. Long story not so short, everyone at regions bank is incompetent.

This bank is a joke. I'm overdrafts yet again and haven't touched my debit card or the bank app in almost 2 weeks. Now my account is locked, been trying to close the account for about 2 weeks now and no help what so ever! This is very unprofessional and yet they are still putting my account in the negative

I just spent over 30 minutes on hold (they never answered) trying to get an overdraft removed that happened a few weeks after the shut down. Not to mention I get a free one anyway. Their website advertises that they are forgiving anything like that and happy to help, so I shouldn't even have to contact. I even tried to email while I was on hold and that gave me an error message failed page. This bank's customer service is like a government office. Like the DMV. It already was but even more clearly now.

Constant problems with Regions bank, overdraft protection DOES NOT WORK. Currently on hold for the last 20 minutes trying to get my money back from "overdraft fees". Absolutely ridiculous. Having a bank account should not be this stressful and if you are being paid to work, you should know your job. I despise this bank and company, too much stress after being a loyal customer for three years.

It’s a Saturday July 13th 2019 @ 12:04pm I pulled up to drive thru due to doors are closed and locked decided to check drive through. There were two clerks there and I went to try to tell them I needed to withdraw some money. I explained I have a new account with regions my card has not arrived yet and the clerk proceeded to tell me that she is closed not understanding I am from out of town and needed funds. She proceeded to argue with me about them being closed and I said thank you and pulled off. Is this how Regions are to their customers and now it makes me believe I am putting my trust in the wrong hands when it comes to my money and especially if that bank does not believe in going the extra mile for their customers. Beware with doing business with Regions if this is how they treat their customers.

These other reviewers are flat out lying! Regions is THE worst bank ever! Unless you go inside, you can forget getting any help. And they have no way of being contacted by telephone. The numbers they list are sent to a call center where you end up talking to a dweeb. They lie. They'll tell you what they can to cover themselves but when it happens again, they'll tell you something else. And get ready to be put on hold for 30 minutes. Nope! Nope! Nope!
