Definitely an inconvenient bank I have banked with Wells Fargo and other major banks and never had issues like I did here. Closing my account and never coming back.

The best experience anyone could ever have in a bank! This regions location was clean inside and the staff is extremely helpful and assisted me from the moment I was at the door. Stephanie is an amazing person with a wonderful personality! She made sure I got the right account that fits best for me and is one of the most knowledgeable and professional people I’ve met. Truly a great experience at this location and anyone wanting to start a new account or needs help with Regions bank, this is the location to go to. Ask for Stephanie she is phenomenal!!

I am writing this memo to advise everyone of a scam that Regions Bank has been conducting. On April 10th, 2021 I opened a new checking account with Regions Bank in response to a mailing promotion that I had received from them. Their offer promised to pay me $400 if I deposited funds with them to open a new checking account and also met several conditions: maintain the account for at least 3 months, pay a monthly account maintenance fee (if applicable), and sign up for electronic statements within 30 days of account opening. They also offered me an additional $25 if I would install their mobile app on my phone. I completed all of these requirements on time, including signing up for electronic statements soon after opening my checking account. I then waited for 4 months before trying to contact them to inquire why I still had not received their $425 promotion. At this point I was getting suspicious because I had not received any further communications from Regions bank after depositing my initial $100 to open my new checking account. I tried calling Regions bank several times but it was impossible to reach a real person because of their highly automated phone system. After many attempts I was finally able to get through to a “Linda” from their Tennessee office who verified that I DID in fact sign up for that specific promotional offer but she did not know why I had not received my $425. She assured me that Regions would conduct an internal investigation then let me know BY MAIL of their findings – once again, ease of communication with Regions bank is not a possibility. I did not receive any response from Regions until 2 weeks later when they called to tell me that I was NOT going to receive the $425 promotion because they said that I didn’t sign up for electronic statements within the 30 days. This is simply not true because I was careful about meeting all of the requirements of their promotion. In fact, Regions bank was unable to defend their claim about exceeding the 30 day requirement to sign up for electronic statements because they could not tell me WHEN exactly I had signed up. So at that point I asked to speak to a manager but was told that a manager was not available and one would call me back within 2 days. Unfortunately no one has called me back from Regions Bank, more evidence that they do not keep their promises. In conclusion, I have met all of Regions bank’s requirements for their promotional offer and they now owe me $425.

Consumer Beware! They will put 7 day holds on your deposits for no reason except to just hold your money. Look somewhere else!

    Response from the owner

Hi, Charles. Deposit holds can be placed for several reasons. We'd be glad to review when the hold should expire. If you send your phone number to [email protected], we'll call you. -Tyler

I have been with Regions Bank for over 5 years. I just bounced my first check in all that time. They would only refund half of the $36 dollar fee. Any bank that needs my $18 dollars that badly is a bank I will be leaving!
