I have been a Honda owner for my last 3 cars, I even purchased one of them from this dealership. My wife and I came to look a the Honda Insight and were told that the markup on the car was $5000! Not to mention the last time I bought a car here they charged me $450 for little plastic protectors on the doors which I saw on the bill after I purchased it. It's ridiculous that they would do that. I understand they have to make money, but these experiences have shown greed. This latest experience caused me to switch to Toyota (which had a $1500 markup way more reasonable), and I couldn't be happier. Unfortunately Honda may have lost me as a customer as well my family.

I'm very happy with my experience with RSM HONDA, I had my casing (FOB) for the ignition key break and I got it fixed by Mark and 5 other Honda dealers said it would cost $220.00 for new key. Thank you Mark and RSM HONDA

Just picked up a new civic lease and it was a great experience. Helpful sales and finance reps who were patient and answered all of my questions. The dealership has lots of inventory and is clean and modern. It also smells really nice on the inside! If you're looking for a Honda definitely stop by! Edit: took my car in for its first oil change and it was easy! I made an appointment online same day, got an email confirmation, brought it in, and they got the oil change and tire rotation done quickly. They took extra time to address a question I had. Still happy with my choice of Honda and RSM Honda!

Amazing car buying experience. Jay-Z was wonderful and took the time to make sure I was comfortable with the purchase. Robert in the finance area was also wonderful and explained all the paperwork. Both of these gentleman also offered to help me understand all the technology in the car to make my experience with the car optimal. My last car was a 2013 Accord but the technology now is amazing. This dealership, Jay-Z and Robert I highly recommend when you are purchasing your next Honda.

Mariah Gallette the lady I was emailing back and forth regarding my current lease situation was awesome. She gave me peace of mind and hope that they would be able to help me with my over mileage situation. I had also mentioned to her how Ocean Honda in San Juan Capistrano was trying to have me buy out my lease at an extremely over priced ridiculous "deal". She mentioned that if I could come in prior to there President's day sale ending that I could more than likely take advantage of there special programs for returning lease customers. I scheduled an appointment for Friday night between 5p-6p to see what options I truly had. She emailed me back to confirm my appointment with SJ Singh. Once I got there SJ got straight to business to help me out with my current lease, he went over all my options and having me buy out my current lease was not one of them. He mentioned that they would take my current lease and pay the last 2 payments of my lease and the over mileage cost. Gave me a few options for getting me into a new lease and finally picked a car he ran some numbers and he even added a few other features that made this car deal the best one. I couldn't be happier with my car choice or my dealer choice. I took my car in for a recall situation. It took longer than I expected but Honda offered me a ride home. That was great because I didn't want to wait the 3 or 4 hours it would take. They were very professional gave me a call when the car was ready and also gave me a call the next day to make sure everything went okay.

I am giving 2 stars because the work was done and the car is running well now. I am ONLY giving 2 stars because the level of ineptitude was laughable at best. My car went in for warranty work. First, I was asked what parts would be needed when I arranged the appointment. I told the service person what my mechanic told me. I brought the car in and was informed that the part hadn't actually arrived. I brought the car again 5 days later after being called and informed that the parts were there. I received a call a few hours later. Nope, wrong part came in. Still no part. I was then asked to bring my car back the next day. Brought the car in again, this time I was called and informed that the front version of the part I needed arrived, and lo and behold, it was the rear version that my car needed. Another day lost. Finally, correct part delivered, but not all the parts. My car stayed overnight as the mechanics had my car in parts at this point. Afternoon the next day, and I finally get a call that my car is done. For those playing at home, it was 1.5 weeks with approximately 4 or 5 visits/days to get a rear axle fixed. Again, the work was done. The car seems to be running well. However, these guys have a real inventory/logistics problem.

Came in for a basic service appointment and was greeted by Chris Henk. Chris was very friendly and let me know exactly what they would be doing with my car. He let me know that they were getting through the cars in a timely manner and the wait wouldn’t be too long. Just as promised, the service didn’t take long and I was on my way within an hour. Went to RSM Honda for a recall notice. I was quickly told to come back a few hours later, after I checked in. Simple. Only downside is that there was NO loaner car nor shuttle that could take me back home. Kinda pathetic completely strange, considering how dealerships are so customer centric nowadays. Anyways a boringly satisfactory experience.

I took my car to be serviced and I usually always have a great and easy time there. They do a really good inspection and I trust that they check everything thoroughly. This time however they wanted to charge me $97 for a cabin filter. I bought a cabin filter for my car the last time I went there to the same location. On top of that the cabin filter is an easy fix and I can do it myself for under $15. I think that their pricing is way to high and I will now always make sure to look up repairs myself because I have a lost a bit of trust.

A service issue we had with our CRV was promptly addressed causing the service department to stay open late to resolve the problem. Not only did they fix the original issue, an extensive regular service checklist was performed. To top it off, the car was washed and and the interior vacuumed. The service folks from the top down we’re fantastic and we certainly appreciated their efforts on our behalf. Honda picked up the bill and thanked us for our patronage. I don’t know if it gets any better than that. Many thanks to the Honda service team.

I was there a lot longer than expected over 5 hrs waiting for my car to get fixed. I’ve had work done at the Honda Huntington Beach and didn’t ever have to wait that long although it was only an oil change and tire rotation. All I can say is that my AC is finally working but I’ll be upset if it goes out on me again since it’s fairly a new car. Not sure if I would go there again for work.

RSM Honda Service Dept has an excellent customer service. The Service Dept is clean and well organized. Service repair update is sent via text as well as the expected completion of the service. Transportation is provided either via shuttle or Lyft. Doug is my service advisor, he always go above and beyond to provide an excellent service. Thank you !

I had a very good deal and I'm so happy for it. I'm going to thank Amer Barikhan for spending plenty times and showing nice and awesome cars. He shared very useful information with us for making the best decision and select the right car. He was so nice and expert and offered good deals that encouraged us to comeback next day and buy a 2017 CR-V. The finance department helped me to find the lowest interest rate and gave me a reasonable discount.

Oliver Jakimovski is the absolute best Sales Consultant I've ever worked with. Being in my 50s I've purchased many vehicles in my past. This is also the 3rd Honda for me. After researching the best deal I could find, for the exact model, color and trim my wife wanted, I first contacted Oliver on a Tuesday afternoon. We negotiated the price prior to my coming in, and because I was coming from San Diego (no dealers there had the vehicle,or would commit to a price prior to my coming in), I made arrangements to come on a Wednesday. Oliver didn't work Wednesday's, but offered to, and did, come in to meet with me at my prearranged time on Wednesday, sell me the car for the price promised, and provided the absolute best customer service. He never once tried to sell me something other than what we negotiated over the phone the previous day. His treatment of me, the customer, wasn't a sales tactic, for I've walked out of and away from the easy to read, stereotypical car salesperson many times in the past. Plus, finding even good customer service is difficult in this day and age. His demeanor was genuine, and I know once his supervisors recognize this he will be promoted. His background doesn't qualify for my line of work, nor would he be willing to commute to San Diego I am sure, but I'd hire him based on his thoroughness, work ethic, sincerity, follow through, and attitude alone. They have a gem in this young man - wish they could clone him.

Please note this review is for their service department and not sales although I personally would not buy a vehicle form this location... Subpar customer service, please take your vehicle elsewhere regarding services, recalls etc. Even with Covid, facilites are not kept clean. Not only will they promise you a loaner after specifically mentioning you need one. They won’t have any available despite there being at least 5 vehicles in the service lot listed as courtesy vehicles right infront of you, even if you go at 8am. Sure they’ll Lyft you back but then getting a Lyft back to the dealership takes 45 mins on hold because a service advisor isn’t available to simply click and order your ride back. You’ll get to know their receptionist who is extremely nice quite well because your call keeps getting bounced back. Of course when you arrive to the dealership all service advisors are simply sitting at their desks gossiping but couldn’t take a call earlier. Maybe I’m being to hard having previously worked in the automotive industry, but whomever the service manager is here needs revamp their standards as they are far below adequate. While I understand Honda is not a luxury brand so you won’t always get the luxury experience, it’s pretty shameful when other brands marketed as “lower” tier are doing far better to uphold their standards. Judging from their previous reviews this is not a new problem and I’ll simply be referred to provide these same details to someone else who will not do anything about it. The next two closest Dealerships are Norms Reeves Honda Irvine and Ocean Honda in San Juan Capistrano. I’m sure they’re much better at handling your service needs there.

Getting my car serviced at RSM Honda is very convenient and the service representatives there are always polite and courteous. They try to explain what is required and why it’s important. The waiting lounge is always clean and I really appreciate that lovely cup of tea or coffee for those early morning appointments.

I love RSM Honda! I'm on my 3rd vehicle in 20 years from them. I moved away a couple of years ago but I still make the drive to have them maintain my car. All of the employees provide excellent customer service, starting with the receptionist answering the phone, the person in service who makes the appointment, the first point of contact upon arrival, and the client service specialist. The service folks that work with the clients are friendly, knowledgeable, and take the time to thoroughly explain every detail of services performed as well as future services that will be needed. They are never pushy, nor do they encourage purchasing unnecessary services. I completely trust the RSM Honda Service Team and as long as I continue to drive Hondas, I will purchase and have them serviced at RSM Honda!

I was away on vacation when my aunt needed a new car so I had to find somewhere I could send her that I would trust to treat her fairly. I have to admit that the service they received from RSM Honda went well above and beyond my top expectations! I am so happy and impressed with everyone there, especially Arash Hamidi! I had the pleasure of speaking with Arash and told him the situation I was in with my aunt and he took great care of her! I kept receiving texts from my aunt telling me how nice and helpful everyone was being, she even asked if I threatened them to be nice! I would definitely trust RSM Honda to take care of any of my loved ones! The finance manager Lance, even went the extra effort to have them call me to make sure I was ok with everything they were doing! I was a bit disappointed in the service of my car in terms of their complimentary washing of my car. Previously, the inside was clean and the car wash was a lot better than I received this time. The tire rims which is the past were cleaned, but looks to be only sprayed with a hose. Not the same service I have been getting the past 5 years. But the service tech was kind and informative when my car was done.

Even with this pandemic situation, my service representative, Douglas, took very good care of my vehicle and me. I have cancer and he made sure I didn’t get in contact with anyone and allowed me to pay over the phone prior to pickup and had my car waiting with paperwork and keys in car. Easy. My family and I were very pleased with the customer service we were shown during the entire process of buying our new (used) car. I Bought my Car here and have serviced it here 2 times. Every single experience I have had here has been awesome!!! They have a big banner saying they were #1 in customer service for all of Southern California, from my experiences it is true!!! Top Notch everywhere, the sales department is great I got a great deal and always get a smile from everyone and the service department is great too. I have referred a few friends there and they all bought. Plus they have a fancy coffee machine too.

I took the vehicle in for a tire replacement I payed $350 what it makes me upset is the condition that my car was returned to me. The technician did not bother to make sure the rim and the tire were clean. It was dirty full of oil. Bad costumer service. I will not go back.

Came to this dealership location looking to sell a vehicle, and staff was not attentive at all. We walked up to a group of salesmen and one stepped out of the group. We explained what we were trying to do and he mumbled something and walked away without telling us to follow him or wait so we naturally walked behind him thinking he mumbled “follow me” or something if the sort he opened the door only for himself and the door shut in our faces, another salesman noticed and offered to open the door. Now I’m about 8 months pregnant and not once was I offered somewhere to sit or anything. The salesman that was “helping” us was not letting us know anything of what was going on we ended up walking back out to the parking to sit in our vehicle and wait. Not very at all the experience we were expecting from Honda. If I could leave 0 stars I would, all based on their customer service.

I have been to a few Honda dealerships in my time, and RSM Honda has to be one of the greatest dealerships that I have ever been to. The sales person Andrew was an amazing sales person, never pushed me to buy the car, helped me out extensively and made my experience enjoyable. The total amount of time from start to finish was very short, he knows how to run and sale cars and not make you feel like a number. I personally got to work with the Gm and he worked really hard as well to get me my price that I was willing to pay. He and his team are outstanding and I recommend everyone to buy a car from RSM Honda.

Great service! Michael is great, Doug is great as well. They try to find the right discount for your car's service and they don't try to upsell you. Khaled Bechara helped me recently and was very transparent about the cost of each service item. He found an applicable discount and had the car ready 2 hours before the agreed upon time!

I've been having this issue with my crv (still under warranty) that no one seemed to have verified every time I go for a service, I decided to bring the matter to the service manager Mr Kyle Schulz. He was true to his words when he stated that "he strive for excellent service in his department". He was very pleasant and accommodating. He went out of his way to help resolve the issue even rode with me to test drive and make sure that the car was fixed to my satisfaction. I would say that was definitely excellent service! Absolutely had a great experience. Derek Hood was my sales consultant and he went above and beyond to ensure I got my dream car customizations included. He was able to get me approved for my dream car and organized all 3rd party company. Overall he was the best sales consultant I had in my car shopping experience. Great experience. I dropped off the car the night before. I called at 8am the next morning and was told they have it and working it. They also told me they located my service contract and did the work. They called when they were done and I picked it up. No issues at all. Highly-qualified and I recommend them.

I went to the Rancho Santa Margarita Hondas website, filled out the "create your next car deal" form, and was emailed an offer to lease a 2021 Passport.VIN 5FNYF7H26MB014721 When I spoke to Andy, the sales manager, he told me there is no way he can honor the offer I received. He went on and on with all kinds of excuses as to why. This is clearly false a bait and switch tactic which is unlawful. see the bait and switch law below. The term "Bait and Switch Advertising" means an alluring but insincere offer to sell a product or service which the advertiser in truth does not intend or want to sell. The purpose thereof is to switch consumers from buying the advertised merchandise, in order to sell something else, usually at a higher price or on a basis more advantageous to the advertiser. Bait and switch advertising of any article subject to the provisions of the Home Furnishings Act shall be deemed to be false and misleading. Practices which shall be considered as evidence of unlawful bait and switch advertising include but are not limited to the following: (a) Refusal to show the product advertised; (b) Disparagement in any respect of the advertised product or the terms of sale; (c) Failure to have available at all outlets listed in the advertisement sufficient quantities of the product to meet reasonable anticipated demands; (d) Refusal to take orders for the advertised merchandise for delivery within a reasonable period; (e) Showing or demonstrating a defective product unusable or impractical for the purposes implied in the advertisement; (f) Accepting a deposit for the product and then switching the purchaser to a higher priced item; (g) Failure to make deliveries within a reasonable time or to make a refund.

Went in for first service after buying new car there. Nice touch free first oil change and Chris gave excellent service. However, I was told that there was a nail in my tire that could not be patched because it is a performance tire. Tire would be $375 P+L. When I took it to my regular tire shop, we found the nail — 3/4 inch nail, bent so less than an 1/8 of an inch had entered the tire right in the thickest part of the tread. Seems very shady that I am being sold a brand new tire for such a nail. Fast forward a year: I was told I had a recall and needed to get fuel pump replaced. Part had to be ordered. Made appointment for a week later to give time for part. Drove half hour to get to the dealer, left my car there, an hour later they tell me that the part didn’t come in and I have to reschedule. Seems like, a) they should have told me BEFORE I came in that it hadn’t arrived yet, or b) before I left when dropping off, they should tell me it isn’t there. Over an hour of my day wasted because they didn’t know the part hadn’t arrived. Not cool.

My experience with the 2 sales gentlemen was fine - However, my experience with Lance Lavage was absolutely horrible. He needs some customer service training when dealing with Veterans. It appears RSM is not Veteran Friendly - since I was a veteran, the sales guys offered me a $500 discount on my purchase, however when I went to go check out the finance guy (Lance) told me I didn’t qualify since I was discharged more than 2 years ago - that was never explained to me when they first offered me the discount. How do you offer a Veteran $500 discount and then turn around and remove it. I would not recommend to any other veteran to purchase a Honda from this dealership - was not satisfied at all with their finance representative Lance Lavage.

I was looking for a way to get the car I really wanted with fair credit. Contacted Bryan Kerr in internet sales, he was super helpful and got about 80 percent of the deal done from the comfort of my home. Then I met the sales Manager Adolfo and he made the funding effortless. I purposely travel a little further than I have to for a Honda Dealer that is more trustworthy. I found this place 8 years ago when I needed wiper blades for my civic. They sold me the blades and installed them without any hassle. I’ve since purchased an Odyssey from them and always have a decent experience. Chris Henk handled my van the last two times we went and he is always very communicative and professional.

The service was fast and complete. The car wash was poor and I had to rewash The car at home. Today's service again was fast and complete. My car was not washed because my drivers side mirror is broken....I have been waiting 3 weeks gor the part to come in.

I have bought two cars from RSM Honda. Everyone from their sales staff to repair have been polite, honest and transparent. I live in Riverside and have no problem driving down to see them, it's worth the piece of mind. Dennis and Nate are great guys and go out of their way to make sure my experience is 100%. Truly amazing customer service!!! Update: This Honda dealership is great, but due to Honda Financial scummy business practices and lack of empathy, helpfulness and customer service I will never buy another Honda. For reference please look up Honda Financial customer reviews as evidence of dirty business practices. So much for their “Helpful Honda commercials”, what a sad joke.

He checked while I was on the phone with him of the recalls that needed to be addressed and instead of making a appointment which I thought was going to happen. This is a review for the service department: This was the first time I had my car serviced at RSM. I bought a used Honda from a private party and they told me to take it to RSM for service. I used to get great deals here, particularly from their internet department. I had been getting my cars here for the past couple of years. My first Honda in 2006 was from RSM, back when it was still Family Honda. Then when I had kids, I leased two of my Odysseys from them. There must’ve been some sort of management change, they changed their negotiation methods.Their new sales folks would not budge an inch. One of them even told me to “read the fine print” when I forwarded them a deal that I wanted to see if they could beat. They told me to take the deal the other dealership was offering me as that seemed like an awesome deal. I finally went with that Dealer that was willing to help me with a great deal - Freeway Honda. Thanks to Patrick at Freeway Honda, I drove home my 2021 Odyssey Touring with a great deal, and without even breaking a sweat. And this was even with $1,400.00 left on my current lease! All the negotiating was done via text. Of course at one point I had to show them my current lease so they could appraise it. I just went to the Dealer the next day to sign and drive. The service department at RSM Honda is top notch though, I can’t complain. They’re the best part of RSM Honda. But then again I guess nothing good really lasts. I’ve already recommended Freeway Honda to a couple of friends this week.

I had called on May 15 to arrange for an oil change. I asked if masks and gloves were being used. I asked because I have a double risk to covid-19, age and a lung illness. I had called other facilities (although they were less expensive) and I rejected them due not fully using protective gear. The Honda service department assured me that they did use masks and gloves and I made an appointment for May 16 at 8:30a. When I arrived, I was shocked to see that the service attendant entered my vehicle without using gloves! When he returned from driving off my vehicle, I questioned why he didn’t use gloves, as they had reassured me the day before. He replied that “gloves have more germs”. I advised that if you dispose of them properly, that’s not the case! Needless to say my anxiety skyrocketed and it still hasn’t come down. I have been extremely careful and I didn’t need to expose myself. I relied on Honda to protect the consumer due to it being a reputable name! I am monitoring myself and I am highly disappointed!

Just turned in my 2018 Civic lease and got a 2020 Civic. Everyone here is so friendly and helpful!!! Today I worked with Clarence and he was awesome!!!! Got me the same payments as before but on the new car there are so much extras that the last one didn’t have. He’s great! I already sent my daughter in and she is buying a car as we speak. I will definitely send everyone I know who wants a great deal from great people. Very happy.

Update 5/2021: I went in for a big service and felt like I was being sold on stuff that I didn't need. I also was quoted a completion time of 2pm, but the car wasn't ready until close to 4pm. Also I tried to call my service advisor multiple times to discuss the findings from the "health inspection", but he didn't pick up and did not call me back. I had to call the main desk twice to be forwarded to a different advisor, who wasn't able to give me info on my car. It felt unorganized and messy, which is not what I'm accustomed to experiencing at this location. The coffee machine is bomb with fresh grounds. Usually the service center is on time and very friendly. The shuttle driver is polite and made good conversation. My experience was a stark contrast to Norm Reeves Honda in Lake Forest, thank goodness.

My service writer John very upfront about everything, all the prices were as I had previously discussed on the phone, no surprises or up selling. Service was done at a reasonable amount of time in the car look good with a complementary wash. I’m a baby boomer and especially liked their music tracks while waiting in the lobby.

I had a very good deal and I'm so happy for it. I'm going to thank Amer Barikhan for spending plenty times and showing nice and awesome cars. He shared very useful information with us for making the best decision and select the right car. He was so nice and expert and offered good deals that encouraged us to comeback next day and buy a 2017 CR-V. The finance department helped me to find the lowest interest rate and gave me a reasonable discount.

Amazing experience!! Starts with Bryan gives me all the info I need and gets me the exact car I want. Works with me and my schedule for a test drive. He answers all my question and it's a no brainer. Financing with Lance was unbelievable. Very efficient and explains everything I need to know. Very COVID safe and we were done. I have purchased a lot of cars and this was the best experience I ha e ever had. Then to top it off, Bryan comes back and shows my wife how to use everything inside the car.

Unfortunately have had extremely bad experiences here at this Honda dealership since the first day I got my Honda. Since day 1 the sales manager that helped me yelled on his phone to other employees in front of me and my grandmother that was so unprofessional. I needed a car immediately though since I didn’t have one so I ignored all the red flags and went ahead with my new lease. Flash forward almost 3 years later and every service I’ve had here they always try to up sell me on services I don’t even need for my brand new car that doesn’t even have 30,000 miles on it yet. I ya don’t car serviced yesterday morning had an appointment at 8:45 showed up at 8:30 I said I had work at 1pm he said no problem it should be done no later than 10,10:30 so I waited there. I didn’t get home till 12pm. It took them almost 4 hours to do a simple oil change and tire rotation. I normally don’t make things a big deal but this was unexceptionable! The service riders were not busy they had a total of like 3 clients 4 including myself the whole morning and they are extremely unorganized at this dealership. Unfortunately due to bad management, and inadequate staff members, I will not be leasing or buying another Honda, I will be going back to Toyota which was the first car I had. I hope this will help this dealership step up in there services, and how they handle client interactions.

Bryan located a difficult to find 2021 Accord touring model (only 4 in the entire State of CA at the time) with the exterior and interior colors I wanted. The vehicle was prepped and waiting for me at the dealership the next day. Pricing was extremely competitive and the dealership made the buying process very quick and easy. ZERO stars should really be an option at this point. Very shady and unethical practices by this dealer. Avoid at all costs and take your business and hard earned money elsewhere. Scheduled an appointment to test drive a car in their lot that was advertised. Good mileage/price combo. When I tested the car it was to my satisfaction, and I made sure to get the final price and total in fees in writing. Went to my own Federal Credit Institution for a loan, they cut me a check for the total agreed sum, at a great and unbeatable APR, I might add. I went back 3 days later to get the car. Should've been simple, right? Wrong. Rancho Santa Margarita Honda actually ran a credit check after coherceing me to fill a credit application invoking the Patriot Act of 2001, which states that transactions in cash/cashier check etc had to be reported to Homeland Security by law to make sure I wasn't a terrorist or affiliated with any terrorists groups and that my funds were legitimate...When paying in prearranged financing, the dealer has no right to do this. It is a very deceptive tactic to run your credit and size you up to see if they can make an extra dollar out of you with their own financing. They obviously couldn't match my FCU and took my check. Not only will their deceiving and unnecessary credit check stay in my record for two years, it actually drove my FICO score down and may affect future financial applications as it may make lenders believe I was turned down for a car loan. STAY AWAY from this dealership!

My service advisor was John and my check engine light was on. Turned out I just needed my oil changed. John was honest and let me know I may need My rear brakes done in a few months but not urgent. I appreciated that he didn’t pressure me to get done that day and gave me a heads up so I knew I may need in the future. Well done John! I will definitely bring my car here again.

I came to test drive the 2017 Honda Cr-V as I was looking for a certified used car. I was fortunate enough to meet Fred Hester. He kindly greeted my fiancée and myself. We spoke about what I was looking for and prices. After a discussion and a second meeting we had a solid offer from Fred for a 2018 Honda CR-V EX-L. He gave us enough time and information to come to a conclusion. He was even nice enough to go in on his day off to answer my questions and work to get a better deal. We purchased the vehicle within 3 days. Fred made sure to go through all the features of the car and customize them to fit my preferences. It is an amazing car and Fred Hester is a great Sales Person. Highly recommend you ask for Fred Hester if you are looking for a Honda.
