never ever give this bank your money ... if you close account you will speak to someone from Philippians for a year to try to get back your deposits ... i needed to call NYS banking regulators and go there with police to get deposit back

So they evaluated my case and we started loan process in the 2nd day. From the day signed contract to close the house, we took around 2.5 weeks total. Super super fast and reliable! My experience with Quontic bank has been they are very incompetent. I opened a savings account online. They took my money to fund my account very quickly, but after that, it's been one mistake after another as well as being given misinformation when attempting to call them. First, I had to wait two months to get a debit card, which I was supposed to receive in about two to three weeks. I never received a pin number. One person told me that I actually didn't need one and that all I needed to do was go to any ATM and "put in a PIN number" -- that is a direct quote. The next time I called, they told me it was mailed back in March, but I never received it, so they mailed it again in July and still it never showed up. They had the correct address. So finally I asked how to close my account, they told me to transfer the money out (which I did and thankfully that worked) but then to email with certain information and let them know I was closing the account. I did that, got an email letting me know that it was closed and yet to this day, months after, they are still sending me paper statements (I had put down to have them digitally). I don't live in NY so I can't go in there and talk to a person face to face, but it shouldn't be this hard with a bank. Please TRAIN YOUR PEOPLE.

Best bank ever! Everybody in this branch is fantastic and super efficient! Will take too long to name them all! Only regret is no having found this gem earlier! Will definitly use this bank AGAIN for any futur home financing

It was a great way personalizing the loan experience, and we were able to get a sense of each other's styles. I was also extremely glad as a person with non-U.S. sourced income to be able to buy my dream apartment in NYC—without Quontic's focus on niche borrowers like me, I quite simply would not have been able to purchase my new West Village home. Julissa came in on the tail end and was also very effective and pleasant to deal with. I had the pleasure of working with Lisa and Joe to refinance my home. There were a few "bumps in the road" and they were awesome especially Lisa; she was super patient, very meticulous and knowledgeable. I would recommend anyone to use them.

They have no idea how to deal with a simple IRA account. I want to take my money else where and the teller, who isn't trained in this service, tells me that on my GRACE period I will be charged fees, after she went to go speak to someone else, who allegedly is in a meeting. This branch needs to be retrained in customer service and product knowledge. Don't trust your money here if you're doing more than opening a checking or savings account. READ THE OTHER REVIEWS TOO FOR FURTHER EVIDENCE OF THEIR POOR SERVICE AND KNOWLEDGE.

Awful website. You cannot close or renew CDs online. You have to email Astoria Branch with a bunch of instructions. After you send an email, no one gets back to you for days, so you have to call and find out why they are sitting on their hands not processing your request. And when you complain about their poor service and lack of online features, they give you such attitude that you'd think that they are the customer and you're the service provider. Never doing business with them again.

I put $10k into a savings account that I am fighting with them to give back. You cannot externally transfer from Savings. So I opened a checking account but can only move $500 a day and it takes days to enter your account (still waiting 2 days later for $500). My debit card has been locked. Every request takes days to get a response they said. I asked to close the accounts and give me my money back 2 days ago I'm still waiting. meanwhile I need the money to make repairs on my home. Avoid this bank. They take your money but make it impossible to use it.

I had the pleasure of working with Joseph Allen from Quontic. I have great credit but am self employed, wanted to consolidate loans and own a 4-plex, so many lenders had previously rejected me. Frankly I did not expect this to go through either. Joesph asked all the right questions and asked for all needed documents and made it happen. This has made a huge difference in my life- much more than I had expected. Saving $1,000/mo. has let me feel that I am in a whole different income category and is allowing me to use that money towards more ambitious goals. He and his colleagues throughout the bank worked very well under extreme time constraints, from inception to closing only took 18 business days!!! I bet that’s a new industry record. Extremely unhappy with Quontic Bank. I opened an account two years ago to safely store my 5-digit emergency fund. Everything was going fine until I actually needed that money due to the pandemic. Well it turns out they recently marked my account "dormant" due to lack of activity for a year. This appears nowhere in their terms and conditions.They claim to have sent a notice that I never received. (By postal mail, even though I signed up for e-delivery of all documents.) It took several calls to find out that they take $10 out for every month that the account is dormant. When I asked to have the account closed and to mail a check for the balance to the address on the account, they flat-out refused. I am being told I have to have a notarized letter in order to do _anything_ with the account at this point. I explained to the branch manager that due to the pandemic, my house is under quarantine and I can't go to a notary, but she was dismissive of my situation and unapologetic. TL;DR: Quontic has my entire emergency fund and won't give it back to me. Avoid at all costs!

I had/we had an outstanding experience with senior loan officer Steven Ho of Quontic Bank. I had not worked with him nor the bank previously. He handled a transaction of which I was the listing agent on the property. The deal fell apart three months in. It was a disaster for my seller. This was a complicated deal. He was recommended through reputable sources. He assured me it would close. I trusted his knowledge and experience. We closed the deal. This bank needs to retrain their staff on proper customer service especially towards first time home buyers. Our mortgage banker tended to loose it if he felt we were asking many questions but, what do you expect from first time home buyers (very unprofessional), he seemed very defensive instead of helpful. In addition, they were very slow and sometimes we were the ones doing all the work or having to rush to obtain documents that they forgot to ask about st the last minute. Wouldn't use this bank again.

Steven Ho was great with the initial intro. and the process. He doesn't response very quick most of the time, so it was a bit difficult to get some answers at first.But I can understand because of how busy he was and how many inquiries he received everyday. Just be patient with him and he will definitely get you the answers you need, show you are serious about the mortgage and not just "fooling around" will also expedite the process IMO. He's a great help overall. Once you are ready to go, he will get Summer Xu to start with the application process and have YuJing Lin follow up with all the documents needed. This is where I feel their team is truly amazing! My real estate agent also commented to me at one point saying "your bank is truly amazing and efficient" Can't go wrong with Steven and his team @ Quontic. I am going to work with them in the near future for another property for sure!
