Provident Bank Ave C, Bayonne

I don't understand the bad reviews. I've been to this bank a few times over the year and so far it has been good. Only huge downside is that they close too early and I can't find a way to deposit checks via the app like all other banks do. The wait time is typically less than a few minutes. They have more tellers than the branch on Broadway as it's bigger and always friendly. Also, they have free coffee.

This bank and the people working here don’t have a single clue as to what they are doing! It’s always an issue with deposits that get lost and don’t get applied to the account, to incorrect overdraft fees getting billed when an account is never overdrafted, it’s a hot mess. Let’s not forget when you call the place you are placed on a 30 minute hold and then a rep tells you they will call you back after review you account within the hour! Stay away from this banking branch it’s horrible!

Terrible staff. Definitely worst branch in Bayonne/ JC area. Few services offered ..don’t recommend for main banking needs.

Horrible! When you call the customer service -1-800 number they do not know whats going on with your account and on Saturday when you call the 1-800 they are close by two o'clock and Sunday they are close all day no customer service are available. Therefore you cant't get in contact with no representative to help you out with your situation. You can't deposit money or checks through the ATM machine and if you lose your debit card you have to wait 7 to 10 business days.

Update. I have to say feon my previous review. This bank has become better. More attentive, more knowledgeable and i am happy with the staff and management.
