Ive been at this bank since it was Community Credit Union, so almost 30 years. I’ve had my card number stolen twice since it’s been prosperity and both times, I had to wait a month for a new card. Oh, I mean, unless you want to pay 35 dollars for a “rush” delivery. They REFUSED to refund the money stolen from me until AFTER a 2 week waiting period and I had to fill out these annoying forms for each separate transaction I had to dispute. It just happened again and I’m done. This bank is trash.

I would give this place negative stars if I could. This place is terrible since the last merger. They refused to let my grandfather close his own account because they said he was confused. He gave them all the information needed and they still denied him. They refused to let him take his money out. I had to go there with him and show Power of Attorney and they still refused to let him close his account. They are holding his money hostage and will not allow him to take his money out. We have no way of clearing his account according to the mexican lady who would not go get her manager when he came back from lunch. Now my grandfather is looking for an attorney to go after them since they won't release his money to take to another bank.

If I could eave a Zero star review I would. Banked with Legacy Texas and viewpoint for 10-12 years prior to it changing to Prosperity Bank NEVER one time in those years having had a NSF overdraft and since Prosperity took over I have had one a month plus the 20 fee associated with the 35 NSF. If Truth be told this is a Predatory Bank. They intentionally process withdrawals before deposits both transactions being electronic on the same day. No matter how often you call and discuss it they never seem to acknowledge the issue. The manager Melvin in Allen will remove the 35 NSF fee for you but somehow even though he claims to have worked at both Legacy and Viewpoint before the change . Acts as nothing is different he just says "we process what ever comes thru first". That's BS when its the same day and you rush to make a deposit in order to cover the pending overdraft. Every other bank in the world honors their customer and processes pending deposits prior to processing pending withdrawals.. Fifteen years with one Banking institution and this is how they treat their valued longtime customers they have devised a scheme to rip off every customer 35 NSF fees for no reason then at the end of the month charge you another 20 just for having the NSF that they themselves caused. ON PURPOSE. I and my mother combined have used this View Point and Legacy Bank but since Prosperity we can not even count the times they have done this to us ...its sad being disabled and living on 1200 a month they would do this to customers whom have never once ha these issues for 15 years until now the Predatory style of scheme they have going with their pending transaction system. I causing thousands of customers to pay additional 55 fees by the end of the month I feel sorry for the people who do not even look.. I put 150 in the bank yesterday to cover a 68 withdrawal and cant even touch the 150 for the next three days at best because they will leave in in pending for ridiculous amounts of time. I cant even go buy grocery's when I need them based on those banks horrible practices . I have been given the Name Soraya Nangal as a regional Manager who is supposed to call me today. We will see if she is part of the scheme today or not. But either way DO NOT BANK WITH THIS BANK.

LegacyTexas was fine but Prosperity is the worst. Can’t even call the local branch directly, automatically placed on a long hold for a call center that probably won’t be able to help you. One star is very generous for this bank.

I have been with this bank since it was Viewpoint Bank. As soon as it became Prosperity, everything went south. You can no longer call your local branch. Everything redirects to a call center and you will be on hold 30 to 50 minutes. Their app is a mess. Transactions fail to show up or get rejected for no reason. We are leaving and going to a local credit union ASAP.

    Response from the owner

Hi Clint, Thank you for sharing your feedback and we apologize for your negative experience. We are committed to providing exceptional service to our customers and hope you give us another opportunity to do so.

LegacyTexas Bank By far the worst bank I've ever banked with, awful customer service rude staff asian guy who I think is the supervisor is cluelessor just dont give a s@#t. I'm not the type of person to write reviews but going to this bank is the worst part of my day. if I had the power to change the Business account I would ... go to Chase if you want friendly service and bank who really care about there business clients . maybe its just the branch.. they got me shaking my head every time I go...

Prosperity Bank's 800# for customer service is the worst ever. I have yet to speak to a live person to answer a question and average 10 minutes on hold each time I call. So bad..

    Response from the owner

Hi Mike, Thank you for sharing your feedback and we apologize for your negative experience. We did experience longer hold times during the conversion and have since then added resources and additional staff to accommodate our new LegacyTexas customers. We are committed to providing exceptional customer service and hope you give us another opportunity to do so!
