Priority 1 Lending was recommended to us by a friend and has since become our go-to brokerage company. After previously calling multiple lenders to compare rates, we now just call Priority 1 to find us the best rates. The Priority 1 Team gives the facts without trying to hide additional fees, which is very important to us. If I could give Priority 1 zero stars I would. They were grossly negligent handling my loan and dishonest about mistakes they made all along the way (including failing to lock the rate as promised) which in the end the cost of me an additional $10k. All I got was a bunch of lame excuses and the promise of a $500 gift card that never came. Any number of lenders could have closed in half the time and have saved me 4 months worth of headache. Instead Priority 1 issued so many changing disclosures it was nearly impossible to figure out what the heck they were doing on their end. Loan #’s changed regularly, amounts changed for no reason, etc. it was a cluster to say the least. We were supposed to close on another loan predicated on the first, but failure to close the first in time put the second rate in jeopardy as well. Even after they raised the cost of that rate an additional $4k (for again failing to lock it in and without any explanation or discussion) they were still unable to close the first loan in time to ensure the new more expensive rate on the second. After 4 months of dealing with their gross ineptitude, I had no choice but to walk away and find another lender. Had I done this in the first place I could have saved myself $15k and a lot of frustration.

I can not emphasize the amount of gratitude that I have for Priority 1 for handling my loan process professionally and with a huge amount of patience with me! They went above and beyond to get documents signed which caused no stress to me. They were transparent which kept me at ease throughout the entire process. I strongly recommend Priority 1 as a top notch lender!

There are no words to express my experience with Priority 1 lending. Diego and Robert were a dream. The staff were very responsive and made sure we understood everything. If documents or paperwork were taking too long, Diego, Robert, or Taraella would reach out, and we worked together as a team to get those documents. Over the Christmas holiday, everything shuts down, but not Priority 1. They continued to work on our loan, provide updates, and others from their team checked on us and filled in for Diego and Taraella as needed. I would recommend Priority 1 to everyone. First I would like thank Diego Navarro very much for working with us diligently & trying to get the best for us when didn’t knw something he would get the right people to answer questions he did not knw and always very honest. We were very disappointed felt the appraisal by the women inspector low balled our home, the things she complained about was so miner not considering the fact that our home was very well together inside & out, not adding our finished basement to the Price!! Simply because the basement was partly under ground & the other part was above ground and the back door!There were documents we had to wait on from our creditors, and Diego Navarro waited patiently & Tarella Nolan also very nice and pleasant to work with always was informative willing answering any questions or contact either one if need be! Any way in the end what I thought wasn’t going to be a good outcome for us because we were expecting a little more to be paid off & wasn’t included Diego Navarro had a surprise @ the closing!!! I've been receiving numerous calls from the telemarketers sourced by this company. When I called to escalate a complaint, I was asked by "Anna" if the telemarketers sounded "Indian" and she declined to escalate me to a supervisor and wouldn't answer how they had gotten my number seeing as I don't have a mortgage and "was not in their system".

Even though your name and phone number is on the national do not call list they buy your information from the credit bureau and call you unsolicited anyway. So from the very start they have no respect for the law, so why do you think they will have any ethical treatment of your loan?

Justin Bashi at Priority1Lending was very patient with my questions through the mortgage process. It had been 34 years since we had purchased a home. Of course there had been many changes to the process during that time. Our closing was remarkably fast and smooth. My only complaint is with their 3rd party automated emails that kept reminding us to complete something we’d already completed. Go with Priority1Lending but be aware to ignore emails - listen to Justin. He won’t steer you wrong. He’s great!
