Wonderful staff, professional and super efficient. Adam Rubin is such a great manager and person. Everyone I dealt with at Portage Community Bank, Home Mortgage Department, Kent Branch has been just amazing : Kim Tullis, Katrina Colon, Adam Rubin among others that I didn’t contact directly. I highly recommend PCB for anyone who is looking for a great service and peace of mind.

I got my home loan from this bank and have since refinanced with them as well. It is always pure pleasure doing business with them. You know how in the old days you could walk into a bank and be treated as a human being and not just a number? Well that's how it still is at Portage Community Bank. When you call PCB (Portage Community Bank) a human being picks up with a smile in her voice. None of those automated whatchamacallits. When I was preparing to refinance I did call around a bit but having grown accustomed to the friendly and efficient customer service at PCB I was unable to get used to automated phone thingies at other banks. "For English, press 1"--that's something you don't hear at PCB, that's for sure! As someone with excellent credit but working freelance I was finding it hard to get a loan elsewhere. PCB seems to have sense enough to realize the simple concept that IF YOU ARE A PERSON WHO PAYS YOUR DEBTS you probably will continue to do so. This seems like a difficult concept for other banks to grasp but they get it at PCB so bless them. I believe they are based in Ravenna but I have primarily dealt with the Kent branch. I will say that in 100% of interactions with both branches by phone or in person they have been over the top friendly, polite, and helpful. I would recommend PCB without hesitation.
