PNC Bank Burke Centre Pkwy, Burke

I went in today to cash a check that was drawn off of PNC Bank. I did not have an account there, but the check was from a business that had their account at PNC Bank. The check was a refund from a purchase that was returned. I walked into this PNC Branch and proceeded to have the check cashed. Should be a no brainer since they can look at the account and verify funds. The guy, the guy near the door took the check and proceeded to look it up. He was looking and looking and looking. I was waiting and waiting. Then he leaves and comes back. He studies his computer monitor for a long time, then leaves and comes back. Finally he comes back and hands the check to me and tells me that he cannot cash the check drawn from PNC account. Confused, I ask why? He said there was I little bit of difference in the name and address area but he did not say what. I told him that this check was printed up by PNC. He said yes, but that he could not cash the check. I left shaking my head and told him I was going to a different PNC bank to cash my check. I did just that. You know? They cashed it just fine. I think that guy was trying to look good so that he could get a manager position. He used me as his prey. He was trying to look good, but he made a mistake. He did not call the business to verify that the check was good. Nice going Mr potential Manager guy!!! This Branch was on Burke Center Parkway next to Safeway in Virginia. 7/29/2021

One of the tellers is consistently nice and friendly—closest to the main doors. The others have been curt and not very helpful. I have now gone in twice to pick up foreign currency and waited for twenty minutes only to leave without it, despite the notifications that it was ready to go in the branch. The issue has not been explained to me either visit. If you are looking for expedience, I would not suggest this branch. I am sure they are good at other things, but since they are usually curt and disorganized, I will use another of the many PNC banks in the area for major and minor transactions.

Every time I go to this PNC Bank I can always count on Kennedy to take care of all my banking needs and he always goes above and beyond on his customer service he is by far the best teller hands down

ATM is always good. When I used to go inside I found the tellers unexplainably slow though. I’d guess the computers were very slow or the employees didn’t feel the need to get me done with my transaction speedily.
