PNC Bank N Bailey Rd, Thorndale

I was a PNC customer for about 3 years, didn’t have any issues and was generally pretty happy. When I did eventually have an issue I called and was told it was being taken care of within 10 days. When two weeks passed and it wasn’t taken care of I reached out again. I was told that they had nothing on record. I provided the date, time and length of the phone call and asked they double check. They told me it would be escalated and I’d hear back within 2 days. A week later nothing. I had to reach out again, at which time they told me to start over from step 1. I told them forget it, I’d be closing my accounts. PNC - 1 star I went to the Bailey Road location to close my accounts. The teller told me to wait in my car and they’d call me when they were ready. Meanwhile two people who came in the branch AFTER me were waiting inside. I refused and was helped much sooner, imagine that. The woman who helped me was able to close 2 of my 3 accounts. The third account had an unsettled disputed charge (they don’t officially settle for 90 days) so it couldn’t be officially closed until April 20th. We filled everything out and she put it on her calendar to close at that time. Unfortunately on April 28th, I had to email them to remind them, since it still was not closed. Seems like a trend with PNC. If you need help, be prepared to have to follow up a bunch of times to make sure they actually follow through. This Branch - 2 stars

I have been a long time PNC customer but rarely visit any branch, since I do the majority of my banking online. Recently, I had an issue with my ATM debit card which required replacement. I was able to have a replacement card printed on the spot at the Thorndale branch, which saved me from having to wait 4-5 business days for one sent by mail. In the rare cases I have to visit a PNC branch, I am so glad to have a local branch with a knowledgable and friendly staff!

Just speaking from my personal experience, PNC in Thorndale is absolutely the best bank I've ever dealt with. People that I deal with there have done an incredible job to make every transaction smooth and fast especially compared two other banks that I've dealt with over the past 30 years and one horrifying nightmare with a credit union.

This bank has the friendliest & most helpful people working there from the tellers to the branch manager. I've always had excellent service!

Have been a customer for more than 20 years. Every teller and manager has been helpful, courteous and professional.

I wanted to withdraw money and have been to this branch many times, often going to the same teller. Every time I go in, she asks for my i.d. and a credit card. This is unacceptable because they know me. The teller is the woman with long, gray hair. The male teller has waited on me fewer times than this other teller and he never requires an i.d. She basically said she didn't recognize me. If that is the case, she needs to retire! I accidentally handed her my expired license and she said shescould not accept it. What??? The manager said they require i.d. and finally decided the license was acceptable. If she is in there the next time, I will go somewhere else or wait for the male teller.

So being from Pittsburgh, PNC Bank has always been my bank. Then I moved to this location, everyone there is always so welcoming and Mary and Angela always greet me when I walk through the door! My transactions are always easy and I'm please with their services. I don't plan on changing banks ever ! Pittsburgh Represent!👍

I attempted to use their ATM today (I use a different bank) the atm not only ate, but shredded my card. I went inside to discuss the issue and the guy basically said “yeah, our atm really only accepts our cards and shredded those that aren’t pnc”. I was frustrated and walked out, I hear a female coworker laugh as I leave...Would have been great to have a sign outside! I’m in a military family, we’re away from home and now I am left without a debit card...so no gas or groceries for my kids, have to deal with auto payment changes now too. This is a disgrace and that employee who laughed, shame on you! I’m in a really dire situation thanks to this stupid bank

Excellent customer service on visit a couple of weeks ago and excellent customer service on the phone with this branch this morning. And what a contrast to the lousy online and 1-800 phone service PNC provides. (Actually Customer Service is what the online and 1-800 DO NOT provide.)

Fast service inside the bank. They also have free k-cup coffee inside for their customers. You can deposit checks and cash in the atm outside the back as well.
