PLS Financial Services Reviews
L
Well, I was an employee for pls Check cashers and I was fired unfairly and treated unfairly. I was promoted to manager after 10 months of working with the company because they were in desperate need for a manager at the location I was working at (D10) on Hampton and Davis. In fact, they needed more than 3 managers at the time so myself and 2 other co-workers were promoted. When I was asked about the manager position I accepted and immediately my general manager at the time Gustavo Hernandez told me that a week later I would be working for the first time as manager Alone and without even recieving proper training. Not to mention a week is not long enough to properly be trained to handle serious financial inquiries. Not only was I never trained,( everything I knew how to do I learned myself by asking around and staying late until 2am) my fellow co-workers that we’re being promoted aswell did in fact receive proper training and were even in training for 1-2 months. I even recall one of my co-workers having to take 2 tests to be able to pass and become manager. I asked about that and how come I couldn’t be trained and that’s when my manager told me “your lucky you didn’t have to go through all of that because we really needed you, you just got the position like that”. Later turns out how unlucky I was when I got fired for something that was completely out of my control nor did know about the rules enough to know. When I tried to tell the district manager Minerva Pena she told me well I should’ve know through training to be aware. HOW WAS I SUPPOSED TO KNOW SOMETHING IF NO ONE EVER SHOWED ME OR TAUGHT ME!!!! I never recieved training!!!! When I explained that to them all they could tell me was that there was nothing they could do for me, and that they had to let me go. After losing my job unfairly I later suffered financial issues due to losing my job so abdruptly. I later found out my general manager gustavo was fired for letting regular employees who were not managers do manager duties and leaving them alone unattended to run the store, that’s the kind of neglect they had for their employees and especially me. Even worse, the district manager who told me there was nothing she could do for me was later demoted from district manager aswell. Till this day I have tried to contact corporate and no one ever answers. I do not recommend people working for this company because I promise you they do not care about you or their employees.
