Peoples Bank & Trust Co E Wood St, Troy

This bank has been with me since High School, a long long time, 1978 and I think they are great! Really prefer the main location though. They are always friendly and helpful. A real Hometown Bank! Had kind of a bad experience with another location, but overall they deserve 5 stars!

They have been excellent to work with, they have worked with me to help grow my company , they have a great team of workers , they do so many great things for the community ,great family owned banks

The ladies at the Troy location are RUDE.... This bank in general has gotten worse over the past 3 years

I deposited a check for for a large amount into my account and there was a hold on the check awaiting payment from the other bank. 2days later the funds were posted to my account so I paid some Bill's and days later pb&t took the money back out of my account and sent items back saying funds unavailable. So I went to the other bank and got proof that pb&t was paid in full for the check and they still wouldn't release my funds nor pay for the items that was coming through my account. I hate this bank and if it wasn't such a hassle to cancel my bills that I have on auto pay I would have left years ago!!!! Because before this I can honestly say I have never been treated like I am a customer... meaning they treat me like they are doing me a favor! They are never friendly or social when I do have to go in. I have been with them since 1990 so you would think that would mean something. O well I am so happy to leave this bank and never ever in my life will I deal with these ignorant people

I went to Peoples Bank and 430 East Wood St. Troy, MO 63379 this afternoon to re-open my checking account after having to close it yesterday because my account was compromised. My friend came in with me to get money off of her debit card that she has done several times before at the same location with the same people. She approached the teller to request her cash advance like she has done several times before at the same bank and for some reason today the teller decided to tell her that she WOULD NOT allow her to access her money on her debit card unless she signed her name he back of her card, needless to say my friend DID NOT want to put her signature on the back of her debit card for SECURITY PURPOSES but she had already handed her driver’s license over with the debit card and the teller told her that she would NOT help her. I don’t have my signatures on all of my debit and credit cards for the same reason, security purposes. I have signed the back of a few of them “CID”. I have been banking at Peoples Bank and Trust for a little over 4 years now and yesterday when I closed my account I got a cash withdraw from my credit card and the card is NOT signed and I was NOT asked for my ID. I went to approached one of the customer service women that opens accounts and asked her about this situation and she told me “Whatever the tellers say goes”. WHAT? You just decided to change your rules today for some reason? So I stated to her that “If my friend is not able to access her money I will not open my checking account here. The customer service woman repeated herself and stated that was the rules at the bank. Sadly to say, I ended up NOT opening my checking account there. What really disturbs me is how my loyalty with Peoples Bank has always been 100 % with this bank these last 4 years I have banked at Peoples Bank and Trust and in just 30 seconds they were willing to throw my loyalty, my business, and my piece of mind right out the window just because they decided to change their rules. I’m really disappointed in Peoples Bank and Trust and truly got to see how far they will go to be right rather than to follow through as they ALWAYS have with the same procedures they have had in place since I have been banking there. I’m happy I got to see this side of the people that work at Peoples Bank and Trust. They decided to choose being right over trying to resolve a simple problem. Being right was more important than them following through as they always have and all of this over a signature on the back of a debit card for security purposes??? Really??? It is more important for them to lose a loyal customer then to take care of their customers and treat them with respect. I walked out of People’s Bank and went directly to United Credit Union and they were willing to give my friend her money from her debit card with no signature. I also opened a FREE checking account with NO fees. I have referred many friends and family members to Peoples Bank and Trust but now I will no longer suggest anyone bank there. I seen a whole different side of the people that work there today and just like children behaving badly, it was more important for the bank to be right and loose a loyal customer than it was to try and resolve this small, and simple problem.

This is a great, local bank with friendly employees who are eager to assist you with any questions or issues you may have.

The drive through is so slow!!!!! I sat in line for 25 min. Unacceptable!

Friendly service but the service is kind of slow though.
