You must provide 1 star or there would be no stars. This company has called 2 days in a row for a person who i have never heard of & since we have had this landline number for more than 20 years I feel certain this person has never had this number. I called their headquarters in Pennsylvania & told they are trying to reach someone who has never had this phone number. They say they will remove the number....2 calls in 2 days lets see if they stop calling.....

If you’re reading this, you do not have to pay these people. American government does not negotiate with terrotists. And neither should you. If you received an initial letter from them, respond aggressively and demand valid proof that they have legal rights to collect.. Exercise your rights.

I have only been with Penn credit since April 2022 and all I can say is the amount of b.s that I have heard is ridiculous. They tell you that if you need to make up hours you can make them up within the pay period which is every 2 weeks so. Then when I asked if I can make them up the week after cuz I have to leave early again in the same week they told me no it has to be in the same week and not only that but my grandmother was literally on her death bed and they gave me a verbal warning because I missed 2 days in June and you have to clock out to go to the bathroom which is completely ridiculous I would never recommend working her

I missed the call (driving) so I called back. I asked who they were and why they were calling me. She was friendly and said she was trying to reach my ex- husband. I told her the number she called was wrong, she said thank you, bye, and hung up.

I’ve been disputing this company for months, ruining my credit (down over 100 points) over a $100 bill, I have no idea what they’re trying to collect, and for who, I’ve never received a late bill for anything in the mail

I rate PennCredit less than 1 star. They said they would deduct my balance of 311.62 on 12/30/2021 but it never happened. When I called and asked why, another representative stated that the amount of (308) MAY be pending.....the amount was wrong and nothing was never deducted to PAY OFF my balance!!!! WHATS WITH THIS CORPORATION!!!!!

I refuse to use a real account with my actual name. Never verify your information, they will hound you incessantly. Never give your name, simply ask who they are, say they have the wrong number, and hang up. Immediately block any and all numbers claiming to be them to save yourself SOME hassle.

Scam!!! Harrased me saying I owed a medical bill that was covered by my insurance over 3YEARS prior. Our insurance confirmed it was paid. They would call my at all times of the day and night almost everyday. I also had said at the time I was underage and which they said it didn't matter and I still owed. They couldn't give me any information about it and were extremely rude and wouldn't talk to my father who was the once who delt with the bill originally. Even though they said they could as long as I gave them permission. They finally stopped finally and I still have nothing reported on my credit even tho they were harassing me almost 2 years ago. They are scams trying to take advantage of people! I have always paid my bill and always double and triple checked all my bills

Took more than the settlement amount i’m confuse. before it took the payment it held my debit card but didn’t give me receipt confirmation and I then check my card a week after because I thought it just took off for the amount I seen but it took more when I final call my card . I wish it something I can do about it because I have no job and that kind of hurt my pockets this company don’t seem legit to me at all now. I should of call the company to see if I really did have a past due balance because I thought I paid the company bills up to date. They have a bad attitude talking nice and they getting smart mebthe whole time.

I just spoke with a Cory and some young girl. They are rude and no customer service skills. I had a remaining bill for my electric company. That was 245.00 before I moved away. He told me to get a life and they will not take payments. Come to find out it’s really 760.00. Like what the heck. What a great way to ended the night. Grow up little kids! We are in a pandemic.

I give a star because zero star is not allowed. I asked to speak with an agent in the Spanish language, as I prefer to do these matters in my first language, and he was the unprofessional person I have talked to in 7 years since I came to the United States. First, he didn't let me explain why the call was made. Since by mistake of I don't know who, there is a person called almost similar to me and he owes thousands of dollars for tolls that he did not pay, and they are sending that charge to me. This agent DID NOT ALLOW ME to clarify that I am not that person, and they are harassing me by sending me letters now and before. About three years ago, I already had to clarify this mistake with them, but it seems that they did not amend the matter. I had to call in English, and at least the lady who attended me was more patient, and I was able to clarify the situation. Please, train your employees better. And since I have nothing to hide here publicly, you can see my name and my email.

Received a letter of collections from this company today and called to confirm the debt. The guy who answered the phone was rude and unprofessional, cut me off mid sentence and had an attitude when he spoke. Even if the debt if the legit, makes me not want to pay a company who trains their employees to be rude when dealing with people.

Scam as well. The man I talked to was rude. And tried to tell me I needed to pay a parking ticket in a state I haven’t been to in 10 years stated from the forth of November. Do not assume these are always real. The gentleman tried to argue with me. Do not agree or give them your information over the phone! It’s all fake.

I spoke to 3 agents that were the most helpful at first. I made a payment of $272.80 that was owed on 05/30. I called the next day to make sure it went through (yes I'm aware it takes 2 business days but I was hoping somehow it still went through), the agent told me the balance still is $272.80 and the payment will be processed around 5pm because it's the end of the month. (Those agents were very polite and understanding). Fast forward to today 06/02, I called to check up on it. The agent tells me I paid too much and the total was actually $212.80 (because one of my debt was reported paid on 05/31 at the same time my payment was ran) so the whole transaction was declined and it seemed like it was an error on their system. I have to resolve this issue today, so I'm like fine I'll pay it again, which I just did,(That agent was also polite and was confused as I was, he understood where I was coming from) then I called to see if there's anyway the process can be expedited (I'm familiar with call center systems and I know somethings can be done manually and some can't. ) That's when it took a turn for the worst, I tell this new agent what happened and she asked me " why did you pay too much then?"... 1) I don't have the ability to change the amount I can pay online 2) Did you not just hear me say that apparently it was system error? She's then implying I put the wrong number in 2 moreally times, so yeah I raised my voice in frustration. Now her supervisor comes in the picture (I didn't ask for one), raises his voice and does the same thing . However he then saw what I've been saying over and over, he doesn't apologize until I get even more frustrated but still raises his voice and cuts me off. Now I have to wait 2-3 additional days and I started off my morning with arguments when it could've been talked about peacefully without their employees pointing the fingers at others, learn to identify the issue before jumping at a conclusion. TL;DR: Paid too much, trans got cancelled, paid again and asked for it to be expedited, received an agent and supervisor that raised their voices and talked over me.

Just because you’re debt collectors doesn’t mean you should be so disorganized and curt. I’m trying to get my DL reinstates after a ticket unfortunately got sent to this dreadful company. I was in the tax collectors office and asked to call them and see if they’d sent off my clearance to my county. She simply spat off the policy and didn’t even try to dive in and help me further. I got out of line and called again and gratefully got a very nice black lady (I assume) who actually DOES her job and she looked into it for me and found they actually DID send the clearance which the first lady would have known had she actually gone into her system and given it a look instead of being lazy.( And I’ve spoken to her before when they didn’t accept my first form of payment that I’d submitted TWO MONTHS AGO and instead of notifying me they just left it. She was rude and talked over me the entire time. I literally had to be like “excuse me, can I finish?” Had I known I could’ve rectified and had my license fixed ages ago.) Anyway, it’s crazy to me these people get paid to do absolutely nothing and provide no sort of customer service. I guess I’d be mad too if I was well past my 40s working an entry level debt collecting job for 12-14 an hour. So I waited at the tax collectors office for a good 30 minutes for absolutely no reason. And you all wonder why you get cussed out on a daily basis. I have absolutely no sympathy. And that script has got to go like “an attempt I collect a debt” when I’m calling you about a payment already cleared and submitted??

Poor customer service. The lady that I spoke to did not know how to do her job at all. I had to spell my name out four times for her and she still couldn't find me in the system which I know that I have an open account. You need to find better representatives.

How has this company been allowed to remain in business? I was visiting my parents and saw this number come up several times on their caller ID. When I answered the phone there was no response. When I called the number back it rang twice and then cut to a message that all operators were busy and the call terminated. When I looked through my parents' call history these people have been calling every 2 days at 9:00AM and 1:00PM for a couple of months. They never leave a message. Today they called 4 TIMES! My parents are seniors and they are very financially responsible- they DO NOT have any unpaid debt. This is harassment and I am reporting them to the FTC .

Left one star because I couldn’t leave zero. This organization is the least professional, helpful or accountable business I have ever encountered. I called them twice questioning a bill that only they say I have. I heard nothing from the original provider or from 2 health insurers that supply me with coverage. I spoke with 2 reps and 2 supervisors and received no adequate support or answers to my questions. i was only advised to call the original billing agency. I let them know I had already called the hospital where I had received some service from and it wasn’t their billing agency. They all hung on me when I pressed them about what their responsibility was in fraudulent billing or what they could do to assist a customer. Terrible, must say I was angry too, and I expect to get some threatening phone calls which one their agents said she would have to do. I know that is illegal. Well change my mind, one star for being real people not just an answering system.

This is the most unprofessional company I have ever had to deal with. They keep sending me a collection bill on something I have already paid for over a year ago. The keep demanding that I pay it. And I keep telling them no. They tell me to show them proof... The collection they are sending me bill about was paid to another company. And the ladies are so rude.

Don't expect them to be honest, helpful or tell you any right information. They're simply a corrupt organization owned and run by a corrupt people (Google DONALD DONAGHER, JR) and their customers who they collect debt on their behalf are of course corrupt as well. The amount they scammed me for wasn't much but I imagine how many thousands they're scamming them each.

According to a new letter from Department of Justice U.S. Attorney’s Office Northern District of Illinois, former CEO of this company DONALD DONAGHER, JR. pleaded guilty to a federal criminal charge for corruptly agreeing to underwrite certain expenses for a special event hosted by the former Cook County Circuit Court Clerk. Donagher admitted in a plea agreement that in March 2014 he agreed to underwrite certain expenses for a Women’s History Month Celebration hosted by the Circuit Court of Cook County. The expenses included the payment of plaques that were presented to judges honored at the event. Donagher admitted that he underwrote the expenses in an effort to corruptly reward the Clerk of the Circuit Court for her perceived favorable treatment with respect to the awarding of debt collection work to Penn Credit. This goes to show the lack of morals and business ethics this particular collection agency is based on. If you are being contacted by these thugs, make share you respond aggressively and do not claim responsibility for any debt. Make sure they send you validation of debt and proof that they even have the right to contact you about it. Then send them a cease and desist notice.

THIS WOULD BE A NO STAR!!! TRYING TO COLLECT FROM SOMETHING that has already been paid. NEVER HEARD OF THIS CORPORATION, SAID IT WAS FOR IOWA AMERICAN WATER. So I CALLED AMERICAN WATER AND THEY SAID THAT IT WAS NEVER TURNED INTO A COLLECTION BECAUSE ITS NOT AN OLD ACCOUNT AND THEY HAD NO CLUE WHO THESE PPL WERE. BEWARE AND MAKE SURE PPL HAVE PROOF BEFORE TRYING TO GIVE THEM MONEY.. I DID NOT FALL FOR THIS SCAM COLLECTION. THIS WILL BE TAKEN TO THE PROBATE ATTORNEY IF COLLECTION EFFORTS KEEP BEING PURSUED. The agent was also very rude!

I called for my employer to remove a paid debt from his credit report. The man who took my call was extremely rude, very condescending, and not helpful in the least. There is no reason why a company's employees have to be nasty. I told this man he was one bad piece of work and finally hung up with no answer to my question.

They call for my toll payment and stated that it was 54 dollars. I said ill pay it. Because I don't want to be rude. But instead of paying their payment on their provided website; "PenCredit". I just went to the actual toll website and paid the actual amount. 14.44. Unbelievable crooks.

Apparently they look up phone numbers for addresses near where someone lived at to collect a debt. I have received calls for them looking for the little old lady who used to live next door (she's dead now) and someone else who briefly rented a house on the other side of me, two years ago. You tell them to take your number off their list but they never do.

Horrible agency. Extremely rude! Not helpful.. Had wrong information. I have three text tags and they sent me a collection letter under a different account that is not mine and telling me I owe $103.65 for a $9.00 toll. I have had to call Tx Tag twice, not help, then Central Texas Mobility Authority and no help. They are telling me this is my account and on line and ALL the paperwork I have shows completely different information. Customer service is not a title here They are harsh, rude even a little hateful. Good luck in dealing with them

Can't believe I'm reviewing a collections agency--positively! I had a fine in the gigantic Crook County court system, which I tried dozens of times to contact directly and resolve it, including 45 minutes on hold. Crook County was so unresponsive that it went to collections (I thought I'd get a court date). At least PennCredit told me how to document my case, and gave options. If I can't get the fine removed, they could arrange a payment plan.

Very professional and willing to help after my collection was closed to verify with TX I'd paid their toll. Understanding that my being sent to collections was out of my hands as TX was using the incorrect address and waived my fees for me. For my first time with a collection agency, I was pleasantly surprised!

Never in all my life have I dealt with rudeness as bad as this company. I told them I wanted to start making payments on a bill that was technically my ex’s. The lady got smart with me and said the amount I wanted to pay was unacceptable. I then said well it’s better than nothing. She again got smart and kept telling me my call was being recorded. I then replied with.... I sure hope so!!! This is getting only 1 star because it won’t let me give “0”. You’d think they’d be a little nicer to someone who’s trying to pay off a debt !!!

I already knew that Penn Credit Corp had a bad reputation so I waited to deal with them last. They really don’t make it easy on you to pay them. They can’t even do post dated payments and that’s the nature of their business. I can’t wait to be done with them.

Quick and painless. I truly dont understand why everybody has rated this company 1 star. I was extremely skeptical coming into strictly based off of how many poor reviews there were. I spoke with Paris over the phone and within 8 minutes she helped me identify my debt along with setting up a payment plan. Some of these reviews say that their representative said that the amount they were trying to pay wasn't enough..That cant be right because my payment schedule is only 50$ biweekly so theres that. Thanks again for the help Paris youre the best.

The receptionist, or whoever answered, is extremely unprofessional. Their company made a mistake, had an address for a late service on the bill but shipped the letter to a different address, my address, by mistake. However, the woman who answered was extremely rude, literally did not let me finish a single sentence without trying to interrupt me, and I'm pretty sure she didn't apologize even once for the inconvenience of me having to call in. She also acted like me asking why my address was associated with this other address that had a late charge was an absurd question. I don't even know what this other address is or who the people are. She said at the beginning of the call of the calls are recorded, I sure wish somebody would listen to that one

I set up payments for a medical bill I did owe last November 2017. They were suppose to take payments out every month until paid. Like clockwork I would receive a letter of the impending payment and nothing else. Last letter received was March of this year. All this time I was thinking that my bill was paid, until 2 days ago. I got a message to call them about a debt. I did contact them, and found out that in fact none of the payments I had scheduled were ever collected. When I asked why they took so long to contact me I was informed they had called me, but that they don't leave messages. So my question was why did they leave one this time? And why I was not informed about the payments not being processed. All I got was a run around. Penn Cedit you need to inform people when payments are not processed. Had I have known back in November the payments were not accepted, I would have made other arrangements to pay this bill. Thank you for the aggravation you caused me and misleading me in thinking I was paid.
