Worst service and an unwillingness to honor their commitments. You can't ever get a hold of someone and there is no follow up. It used to be great but they got too big too fast and their customers have suffered

Customer service is terrible at this location. No matter if theirs no one in line they are always slow and usually all huddled together talking in the office. I can count on one hand how many times their has been someone behind the teller desk ready to assist. They also always ask for my social number with my id which I hate and tell them to use my name which usually results in some negative body language. Not coming to this branch anymore. The VA is better but just more risky with Covid.

Went to this Penfed office to wire money for a cash purchase of a condo. Nearly 500k. Between three staff members including the manager, they couldn't get it right and couldn't print a document for me to review (policy) prior to hitting enter button. I finally gave up because I had zero confidence the money would get to the correct location. The individual hunted and pecked the computer forever trying to get basic information into the system to wire it. The system should have provided the address of the institution being wired and it didn't so he hand jammed it in. To add insult to injury a mutual friend of theirs entered and observed a portion of the proceedings to include the amount to be wired. No privacy whatsoever. I had to stop the proceedings and walk. If you have any real business, I would advise anyone to do it at another location. BTW, we have been Penfed members for over 30 years. Service has gone down hill. Or more like down a mountain. Our shadow will never, ever cross their threshold again.

My experience in opening account with Penfed was one of educational and aye opening for different service that I am illegible. the professional customer service I received by the assistant branch manger were impressive. I recommend anyone to a member of PenFed.

I concur with the other bad reviews about the Washington, DC Location on Independence Avenue. -The Customer Service is not good and the ladies just huddle up and talk. No one spoke to me when I went in and they just starred at me and looked at me when I approached the Teller Window. It feels cold and univiting in there. -In any case, this is my husbands bank, I do not like it. I was just there to do something for him. I have to go today and I hope I have better service.

My recent visit to the Constitution Avenue Branch was excellent like my previous time there. The staff were pleasant and the representative who assisted me, Tesfaye, was very knowledgeable and patient as we conducted business. He was consistent from start to end. He is a great representative of excellent customer service.

Experience dealing with this credit Union was a nightmare. They will lie to you. They do not respond to emails or voicemails for days or weeks. I am thankful that I chose to back out of a deal with these people before it was too late.
