PenFed Credit Union W Central Texas Expy, Harker Heights

I went to this bank on 5/02/22 to deposit a check because my normal location in Cove said their check reader was down. I have had problems ever since, my account has been completely blocked from access, I’ve been lied to, mocked, and treated like trash by almost every single PenFed employee in the 6 times I’ve called since trying to get them to do their jobs. Still nothing. The ‘security’ department has not answered the line once, I’ve been left on hold anywhere from 5-45min with check ins, this is disgusting behavior. This is beyond a bad review, they have held my funds hostage and are about to leave my family hungry because I can’t get to MY money. DO NOT bank here or trust these people they won’t help you even if they mess up your account!

I have 3 accts with them and 3 accts with 2 other banks. PenFed is by far the biggest hassel. Deposited checks take forever to become available, the lines are sooooo sloooooow, in the past few years there have been numerous times Ive tried to bank and they have been closed AND you can only withdraw $3k a day. If you want more, you have to request it 2-3 days out. That was the last straw. This is exactly why i started keeping my money at Southstar and use First Command as my credit union. The Killeen/Harker Heights branch of Pen Fed has completely ruined my opinion of their bank.

Excellent service and made a vehicle refinance very quick and easy. We will definitely be using this credit union going forth. We are very satisfied.

Pen Fed is a safe place for all banking needs and the people are very nice.

Penfed is the worst Babking institution i have ever dealt with they Hold ur Money

A place that doesn’t honor its contracts….. payed off my boat and now NO title…. Because they sent it to the wrong address…. Then they blame me for their failure …… tell me it’s not their problem just go and get yourself another title….. but wait …. That’s not what I payed 10 thousand dollars for!!!!!!! And as a White male the manager made me feel like I disgusted her by being White as she spoke to others in Spanish from here desk…. So I don’t recommend this bank and I warn all White males to think long and hard about joining this bank system that in the past would never allow enlisted join in the first place.

This bank is awful. They suck at keeping your card protected. Also they don't help when you need them too. Thursday of last week my card said incorrect pin at the gas station. At first I thought maybe I sausage fingered it so I tried credit and it said the same thing. When I called penfed about it they said "change the pin it should work after that". WRONG!!!! It didn't work I tried it at an ATM and it said incorrect pin then said suspected fraud. But the fraud department never called or blocked my card to reach out to me. So find a different place to bank with please. 🙏🙏

Just got my auto loan with PenFed. It took all of 20 minutes. The branch manager Francheska was extremely helpful and made the process super easy. I will be bringing over my checking accounts here as well. Highly recommend!

Closes at 3PM on weekdays, picture check deposits take over a week, and gives me issues with transactions.

Called to tell them a deposit of $250 (check) showed up in my account as $225 (check). When I called to straighten it out they said they have no accounts on me. I’ve been banking with Navy Federal for years. 🤦🏼‍♀️ Time to start looking for a new bank.
