Peach State Federal Credit Union Hawthorne Park, Athens

Id been with Robin’s financial since 2018 and after waiting nearly 6 weeks for them to re write my policy they STILL tried to give me a high interest. I walked into Peach State this afternoon and Kimberly had my paperwork drawn up and ready in no time with half the interest rates Robin’s had offered me. I will be bringing my business here.

I would honestly give a zero if possible. I must say I haven't been in the bank so it is not about the staff of this bank. My husband has an account here. In January he was notified by the bank that they had suspicious activity using his debit card. This was an individual in another state buying on eBay and paying through Paypal. It was disputed immediately and credited. Two months later we are notified that since Visa said the purchase was verified and secure they have taken the credit back. So now the criminal people get away with the goods and we're stuck with nothing. This makes no sense. We live in Ga not Texas. We we're notified by the bank because it was suspicious.. hello! Never again! I will make sure this account is closed and I will tell my friends and family of this event. If you use this bank don't use the debit card!!! 3-16-19 After my original post I wanted to update. My husband has been talking with many managers and higher up people from Peach State Federal Credit Union. These individuals have worked very hard to help us understand the complexity of cyber crime. They have listened to my husband explain how there is no way he made the purchases and would never under any circumstances give his information to anyone for purchasing. We have decided for now to keep doing business with this bank without having or using in any way a debit card. This bank does care about their customers! They have worked very hard for us and we do appreciate it a tremendous amount. I gave them a 1 star in the begining but have updated it today to 4 stars. I will say if someone has an issue go into the branch and talk with a manager. Sometimes computers make things seem so impersonal but I do believe they care about their customers and their reputation as well!

Very very friendly staff. I was in and out in less than 10 minutes on a Saturday. Would recommend this branch!

I always have a great experience with the employees at Peachstate FCU. Whether I go inside or the drive through its always a pleasant environment and welcoming.

This bank is a joke. It’s way better credit unions out there so please I beg you, DONT GO HERE!!!!!!!!!!!! You deserve better!!!!

We have been a customer with this credit union for years and satisfied with the service they have provided until now. The first problem, I had a third party cashiers check they wouldn't let me deposit so I put it in my safe deposit box. I go there early Saturday morning to retrieve and I'm told at the front door, "the lobby is closed on Saturday" and the door closed in my face. I don't frequent the credit union often. So, I drive to the drive thru, where I'm told it is by appointment only. I ask can I get an appointment today to get in a safe deposit book I pay for. The teller goes to ask someone, I assume it is the rude woman who closed the door in my face, she comes back and says there are no more appointments for today. How long does it take to let someone have access to a safe deposit box? Two to three minutes? I am not happy with this credit union.

The bank is horrible!! I'm convinced people are still using this bank just because they can get cars through them. I never got a car thru them and the bank just sucks. When you close your account make sure you change all connects with your accts with peach state everywhere, cause if not they will lie and say you owe them and take that money if money so happen get in the account that peachstate say is "supposed" to be closed. You all better run from this bank. It's not worth it. It's more than 1 credit union.

Worst bank. Security policy needs to tighten up as far as being able to authorize what’s being charged. Never had a bank to continue to charge the same overdraft fee until it is out of the negative. Don’t bank here, complete trash!

This is the worse bank I've ever dealt with. If you are looking for a decent honorable credit union, DO NOT stop here.

Very good customer service, always willing to help and answer questions. Great worker at Hawthorne Ave. in Athens Ga.
