If I could give more than 5 stars I would! My mother switched to Shawn and his team at Palmetto State Mortgage when her first lender dragged their feet and lied to her to the point she almost lost the house. Shawn and his team worked diligently and got her to the closing table in 10 business days! Finally closed on the house she had been under contract with just at 3.5 months. They saved the deal for my mother and Shawn even came to her closing! I cannot recommend Shawn enough and I'm working with him on my own home purchase. They are fast, efficient, personable, and trustworthy to the end!

What an amazing job Shawn and his team did for us. From the very start, to getting my pre-approval letter all the way to closing. I had so many concerns throughout the process and Shawn and his team were just fantastic at putting me at ease. He was always there to reassure me that everything was moving along without issue. From day one when I called Shawn for an estimate of what my payment amount would be, taking homeowners insurance and property taxes into consideration, I ended up $50.00 less than quoted. Alex Parham and Donna Britt came in to save the day after another company left my husband and I high and dry when we were trying to close on our home. The loan officer at the previous company left for vacation and I was told that I would just have to wait until she got back to work out the problems with her underwriter! I called Alex, and in 15 days, we were sitting at the closing table with our original closing date! They were able to give me a lower interest rate AND had lower closing costs. I feel they really understand VA loans. My husband is a business owner, and this was a jumbo loan, so our deal was complicated since so much paperwork was required. We had an awful, drawn out, and misleading experience with Wells Fargo, after which, it was Shawn and his group at Palmetto State Home Mortgage, to the rescue. Shawn was extremely helpful and to the point in laying out what needed to be done to secure our home loan and detailed about where Wells Fargo failed. He helped us to have a better understanding of the process and was there for us through out, answering any questions we might have. Theresa (Tere) was a blessing in handling the paperwork for the underwriter. She made the process stress free and seamless. She was on top of it in keeping us informed where Wells Fargo left us in the dark for weeks. What a night and day difference! We HIGHLY recommend Palmetto State Home Mortgage! I applied for a loan application through this agency and I guess it routed me to the first person available. Over a week ago no response and the communication or lack there of. It sucks because I feel like some communication and guidance could’ve been provided like other companies that are actually trying to help people with the home buying experience. Reached out to another company and within 72 hours got some tips and advice on how to reach my goal. Don’t waste the credit inquiry on this company, heck maybe it was the MLO that I reached out to but not the greatest experience.
