OneMain Financial 24th Ave, Fort Gratiot Twp

Laurie was phenomenal. I had a short term crisis situation. She responded swiftly, professionally. Made the whole process less stressful. Fort Gratiot made an excellent choice in hiring this young lady. I was there for a little over an hour. It was the day after a federal holiday and all tge banks were closed. She was alone in the office and answered at least 5 calls during that time answering each with the same courtesy and professionalism as the one before and it was 5pm on a Monday! KUDOS to OneMain Financial! You better give her a raise!!

I would give this place a 0 if I could. My handicapped mother was approved for a loan on a Thursday. I called that same day within a hour, and again before 5pm that day to get the details. I made 2 calls on Friday, left messages, and Never got a call back. On Monday morning at 9:30am I called again, no answer, just a machine. The car was sold to someone else, the dealer said he thought he would have heard from me that day, and he would have. Poor customer service, and judging from some of the other recent reviews, it seems to be the norm. Rediculous!! They blew it for us.

I would never refer anyone to this company, or branch. The interest rates are so high that you end up nearly paying double. In terms of the local branch, the rep urged me to purchase an insurance to cover my payments, while off for surgery. The rep knew that I was going to have surgery in a few months and stated it would cover my payments while off of work. Come to find out, the insurance doesn’t cover pre-exsisting conditions, only unexpected accidents, or illnesses. I’m not sure if employees make commissions on added products but, who knows how many other people were convinced to purchase an insurance that didn’t cover their illness. Whether she was uneducated on her own products or urging people to purchase products for a comssion, it’s still wrong. They need more educated employees, two women assisted me the day I signed for my loan, the one who misinformed me, and needs to be more educated on the company and products that she works for, and, a new employee who couldn’t answer any of my questions and stated that she was new several times. I will never utilize or refer anyone to this company.

They start harassing you with phone calls if your payment is one day overdue. Thats 2 or 3 calls a day. Can not wait to get it paid off. About to write attorney general.

New management. New team. They helped me get what I needed, answered every question I had, and gave me the information I needed to ensure I was put in the best position possible.

The girls at the local branch in Fort Gratiot, Mi were amazing. They were quick and got the job done sooner than expected. Will definitely consider doing future business with them.
