Do not use Oceanside for your mortgage provider! They're the worst to deal with customer service wise. None of their loss mitigate or escalation team communicate properly with each other or with customers. They make you jump through every single hoop to get you caught back up. Example, I was behind one month with the intention of making three total payments between the months of February and March of 2022, they will not accept a payment lower than total amount due, which is a vicious cycle of being constantly behind until you hypothetically lose your house. Save yourself some headache and anxiety when it comes to one of the most important bills you have, and use a more reputable mortgage provider

This is our second time using Oceanside Mortgage. Once a few years back for refinancing, and we were so impressed with the level of professionalism offered by the loan officer, Ryan Dunn that when purchasing our new house we went directly back to him. Ryan offered timely, polite and professional service. He was thorough, answering any all all questions. He moved the process along quickly to accommodate our closing deadline and made sure to keep us informed on every step of the way. If you are looking to refinance or buy a new home I would hands down suggest Ryan Dunn from Oceanside.

DO NOT USE THEM!!!!! I have had nothing but problems since I got my loan with them back in July 2021. They lost my 1st payment and it took them 3 months before they found it, I literally have been calling them every 2 weeks fighting them to correct my account and can not get anywhere with them, I have over a dozen emails, over a dozen calls into them, over a dozens manager requests- with not one call back!! I was just on the phone today fighting again because they misapplied yet again one of my payments to principle only, putting me a payment behind!! I have been trying to get set up on auto pay for months but I have to keep pushing it back because of their cruddy accounting team can't keep things straight. As soon as I can refi- IM OUT!! UPDATE- I CHANGED FROM 1 STAR TO 3 only because I believe after this original review someone who mattered made sure I was taken care of.....finally so I did want to show my appreciation. A Matthew Gonzales contacted me shortly after this 1st review and over the course of several phone calls (that he kept) with me on scheduled days we were able to get my account fixed and set up on bi- weekly auto-draft (all payments located and applied- praise the Lord). Matthew was great, he kept every promise, every follow up date and was super professional. 5 stars for him but I stay at only 3 stars because it should not have taken 3 months to finally get this type of quality customer service to get this issue resolved.

Vincent was great throughout the entire process answering any questions and keeping us up to date. We really appreciate the help that we received in order to close. Had an excellent experience with Tom. This is the second refi I have done with him, and each time has been straight forward and to the point. The process was simple and quicker than I had expected. Over the years, we have appreciated Oceanside's flexibility with payment dates, as they offer a 15-day grace period. Sometimes, you just need the first of the month to arrive a little later! Then, just recently, Oceanside offered us an even lower rate, which lowered our payments, in turn. my house burned down and I sent the mortgage people the payoff plus the extra money to make payof and then to return the rest to me so I cam buy a house to stay in. right now I'm renting. sent the information they requested and I mailed the check in June to pay off ny house. and they were to return the remiainder to me to use on purchasing a new home. You have ruined my account by advising It is past due of which am not since you have put my check in escrow. I have had to call them for the last 2 weeks everyday - they told me it would be done on Thurssay which was yesterday - If you have a choice do not do business with them my mortgage was brought by Oceanside . They are no help and i keep being given the run aroud. bad mortgafge company plus employees do not know what is going and can't read a file.

Excellent company to work with. I got a letter in the mail last year and just took a chance and called the number about refinancing for a lower rate. Andrew Oliva was fantastic!! He made the process as easy as it possibly could be and was always willing to answer any questions I had very quickly and really put my mind at ease. He was even able to have the signing attorney come to my house for me to sign after work (7PM!!!). I couldn't recommend this company enough. They're also great about actually SERVICING my mortgage and haven't sold it, so I know exactly who I'm paying and when- unlike my previous experience with my mortgage getting sold almost monthly and never knowing exactly who I needed to pay from month to month.

Oceanside Mortgage was the easiest to work with. They asked for documents only once, which is very unusual. Most mortgage company's say they can fund the loan, then drag out the documentation process forever, NOT Oceanside Mortgage. Really easy to work with and funding was lightening fast.

We refinanced through Oceanside. The whole process was quick and easy. Tom did an excellent job of keeping us updated along the way! Most of the process was handled electronically, and they sent a Notary right to our house to seal the deal. Highly recommended!

I was lucky enough to get a man, Michael Kiley, on the other end of the phone who is knowledgeable, kind and patient, and who answered every question I had with ease. He made the entire process painless, quick, and easy, and I couldn’t be more pleased. Not to mention, he got us a much better rate than we had, saved us about $400 per month on our mortgage payment, and there were no closing costs that came out of our pockets. We’re thrilled!

I have to tell you that Oceanside Mortgage was AWESOME. Oceanside reached out to me about a streamline refinance in order to lower my mortgage percentage rate because rates had dropped. They told me that the process would take a couple of weeks and described the process in detail. I worked with the same wonderful person all the way through the whole process from beginning to end. She contacted me through e-mails, text messages and phone calls updating me on every step of the process. If I had a question she was quick to respond with a thorough answer. She always had time for me and was patient with my ignorance. I made a point to get all of my information in quickly and thoroughly because I wanted there to be no problem. Oceanside closed my refinance in 11 DAYS. I kid you not. 11 DAYS. From the Monday that I called about their letter, through that week and to the next Thursday evening we were completely done. Closed, signed and done. Not one single problem or hiccup. I never imagined that such a process could be so smooth and simple. They told me that they could lower my monthly mortgage payments by $100 but it turned out to be $170 lower. They lowered my interest rate by 1.37%. I was stretched to the max so this relief is important to me. I know someone else in day 125 of his streamline refinance with another company. But Oceanside Mortgage was GREAT!!! I highly recommend them

Awesome company to work with. Made it simple to refinance. I received a letter after being in my house for 8 months, because I had no missed payments they told me they could lower my rate from 4.5%to 3.75% with no closing cost. How could I pass up on this. After a few short weeks I came to find out all the claims were true. And great support throughout the whole process.

The most important factor to me about Oceanside Mortgage Company to me is "COMMUNICATION" and the representative that I had (Nick Yodonis) most definitely kept me in the loop of everything that was happening with my file. Also, I do like the special notifications they afford for their members to take advantages of the lower interest if they so choose. All of my experiences have been painless and quick!

She reached out last year when the market allowed for a lower interest rate, and she reached out again this year. Not only is she diligent but she returns calls and is ready to answer all your questions. She is attentive and patient. We are very lucky to have her as our Senior Loan Officer.

I refinanced with Oceanside 2 months ago. Up until I had the money to make my first payment (the 1st of the month) Andrew would respond immediately. I’ve been texting and emailing for 2 weeks now trying to make my mortgage payment and no response. I’ve called Oceanside numerous times but they can’t find me in the system. I don’t have my loan number because they never gave it to me. Tomorrow I’ll have a late fee when I’ve went above and beyond attempting to make my payment! I’ve never had such a horrible experience with a company. I’m beyond frustrated. BTW Oceanside I would appreciate a text, call or email!

The original agent we had when we started with Oceanside was great but this time when we refinanced was vague when we had questions. as time when on through the process and had questions it was not easy to get direct answers. We were very unhappy with the way things were handled. Then without any word before our transaction was closed found out our loan had been sold to another financial company. We are glad we are no longer with Oceanside.Thinking back on our experience with the last agent we had to behonest I have to remove one star regarding how he handled our refinance. giving him 2 stars would be more accurate.

****dealing with an insurance claim**** I had not had any problems with Oceanside until I had some mold/water damage in my home. Working with the loss draft department has been one of the worst experiences of my life. I have spent HOURSSS on the phone with them and gotten nowhere. Every. Single. Time I have called, the each person tells me the complete opposite of what the previous person told me. I've talked to supervisors, and the two I've talked to told me completely different information just a couple of days apart. The contractor who is trying to get paid to fix my house talked to two different people within 30 minutes of each other and was told opposite information. Because of that, the contractor wants it in writing that he will be paid for this job, and they cannot do that because their forms are already written out? And they do not communicate via email. So they can't tell me or the contractor in written form that they will be paid. It has been the most difficult company to work with in my life. The second I get a chance to refinance, I absolutely will and will make sure everybody I know knows not to use them in the future. The contractor has already asked the name of the company to make sure he doesn't use them.

Servicing was fine until my home burned down and I got stuck with the loss draft department aka property claims. If it wasn't enough my home burned down, I have been attempting to use the funds from my insurance to pay off my existing loan with Oceanside so I may purchase a new home. THEY REFUSE TO PAY OFF MY MORTGAGE WITH THE FUNDS! Every time I call I am met with poor customer service, ignorance, and nothing gets accomplished. At this point, I call in multiple times a day and speak to any and all persons I can in hopes that maybe one day I will reach someone who can help. I sent the funds to pay off my mortgage June 1st, they received June 2nd. It is now July 1st, I am told I have a new payment coming due even though they have money to cover ALL of my mortgage in escrow. I have sent in an email to their complaint department without any acknowledgement. I sent in a demand letter June 24th which they have yet to acknowledge outside of reviewing and validating it in their system. OCEANSIDE HAS BEEN AWFUL AND I FEEL VICTIMIZED BY THEIR POOR PRACTICE. I am at the point of possibly setting up a meeting with an attorney to seek legal remedies due to their intentional negligence! I was supposed to close on a house June 30th. That did not happen. I can go on and on because of how frustrated I have become. This company doesn't care and I am pretty sure their holding of my funds while accruing interest on my loan is illegal for this length of time. Be cautious!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! To the reply sent by Oceanside, July 4th holiday weekend is not an excuse. You have had my money and letter of intent since June 2nd. This is now a month later with NO RESOLUTION.

In the beginning, I was skeptical because... how are they able to be profitable when they pay all the closing fees? Plus, I responded to a letter in the mail. Well, they service the loan so they make money on the interest. I'm glad I responded to that letter in the mail. I have worked with Oceanside multiple times. I think it is awesome that Robert reaches out to me when the rates drop and the numbers work for the refinance to make sense or he gives me options to build equity faster. My monthly payment went down $200, the process was very simple and Tim who was my point of contact was great at responding to my questions in a very timely manner. Do not refinance with this company. The left hand doesn’t know what the right hand is doing: they have incorrect taxes, incorrect homeowners information, and you have to be your own advocate to catch the mistakes.. after 7 phone calls, still not resolved. I’m refinancing with a legit company ASAP!

He answers your questions but better yet gives you all the information up front so what questions you had were already answered!!
