I’ve been banking with Denali for over 5 years and I believe they are a great place to bank. I love how when I call i speak to the branch employee directly and not a machine. I appreciate how they are accommodating and reverse overdraft charges when I’ve hit difficult financial situations. The staff is friendly and personable during each visit. I highly recommend DFCU.

An unbelievably negative experience. I do t know how they remain in business as a lender. I bought a vehicle in Oregon a year and a half ago and the finance department set me up with a Denali loan. For 90 days I went through hell trying to get registration for the vehicle. The temporary plates expired and I had to drive from Seattle to Portland to appeal to DMV for an extension. It turned out Denali had never even submitted for my registration. Meanwhile they were sending threatening messages saying they would cancel the loan if I didn’t provide proof of insurance. After proving proof three times I finally drove to their center in Kent in a rage shaking my insurance declarations page at a managers face. Here I I am having paid off my loan over 5 weeks and find out they haven’t filed for a title transfer ! The incompetence defies gravity. If ANYONE ever suggests a Denali loan to you ......

I would avoid them going forward. They received huge credit back on my auto loan but they denied to adjust my monthly payments. Apart from that, they denied to refinance until I complete my payments for a year. That is too stupid on their part as I have other lenders willing to offer a better rate. Better save your time and pick a lender which is more flexible than Denali

I am highly impressed with Denali and the great customer service they have shown me. Last year I was struggling to pay my bills on time, was in a butt load of debt and had a terrible credit score. I decided to open an account with Denali and since then they have opened so many doors for me to be become financially stable. They have helped me pay off my debt, bring my credit score up and in less than a years time I will have my car payed off. While opening a line of credit, Keith Robinson was more then helpful with explaining everything I needed to know and was prompt with getting everything set up which made the process quick and painless. Unlike other banks I have had accounts with in the past, you can tell that Denali cares more about helping you get on the right track then anything. Two thumbs up for Denali and the team ! (:

This Bank or whatever it is, ran by rejects! I just called and the person literally sounded like they just woke up and had the hardest time figuring out what to do. After repeating each question several times. And for the banking system it's all put together so unorganized. It's like no one at this banks uses their own bank! Because if you did you would see how bad it is! Just compare their banking system to another banks system. You'll see the flaws. Anyways I totally hate this bank and I'm leaving it!

Rude supervisor Jolene Mann. Warning! Update 3 April 4, 2019 (later) I received a call from Kathy from Denali. She apologized about situation and Jolene's actions. However, I don't think Jolene will even get talked to about her actions even with other reviews showing complaints about her. Kathy explained about the system switch as well. They were saying if I stayed with them, I can have payments extended to September. If want later needs to be approved from executive. I don't want to be with them anymore so I am currently in the process of having a bank take over then closing my Denali account. I am still very disappointed that I have to make a second payment for the rest of year and having to pull a hard credit check to do that. Payments are less after going to another bank, but overall it is still a negative impact on my credit score that Denali can't fix. Update 2 April 4, 2019. Jolene Mann calls back saying after reviewing account they can delay payment until May of this year. (Still have to pay another payment May - December) Update: As can see I received a response saying to email them for follow up. I did, and I got an email showing failed. See attached picture. Forgot to mention, it went to collections! Supervisors I spoke to is Jolene Mann. Do not bring service there unless you want to ruin you credit score! I have an auto loan with Denali. It is currently April 3, 2019. I made payments in advance after selling my home so I wouldn't have to worry about car payments for a while. I called to verify if it was okay for the amount I wanted to pay and if it will go to month payments or principal. I was told monthly payments. 2...3...4...5 payments and so on. I made my payment. After making the payment I called to verify I wont have to pay until Jan 2020 as shown when I logged on. Every statement showed I did not have to pay until Jan 2020 until March 2019. I logged on beginning of April 2019 and found out it is past due! I do not log on often since I mainly got account for vehicle loan. Why would I need to log on if I expecting not to pay until Jan 2020...?A supervisor called me saying I didn't make the payments and I am behind. I said I have proof I paid rest of the year. She said I didn't. I told her I did, have proof and if they not going to put money I put towards all those months, I want that money back. Again, she said I didn't pay those months and if I got the money back, my account will be deliquent then I have to turn in my vehicle in to them. Warning! If you make payments, you might run into same problem where they say you didn't and you need to pay or you will lose your vehicle!!! I have all my documents to show proof and the names of people I spoke to with the company who also sees what I am trying to explain to this supervisor. Now I am stuck having to pay vehicle payments this year AGAIN!

I have a car refinance with them and they’ve been real scam bags that I have never seen. They lie, deceive and never keep their words. They attempt to steal here and there from their customers!!!

I have had a really good experience with Nuvision credit union. I have a loan with them and was a little shocked to see some of the poor reviews. I been with them for 5 months and absolutely no issues. Thank you for your services. Keep up the great work!

I had an auto loan through Denali, and it was one of the worst customer services I've had to deal with, while there were some representatives that were understating and helpful, the majority were unhelpful and negligent at their jobs. It took many phone calls and much hassle to establish payment for the loan. I changed banks after a while and contacted Denali to let them know to pull my payments from my new bank account, I was told everything went through, that they'll make a note of it, and I should see the money being pulled within 3-5 business days. That never happened, instead they charged the old account, I called again and was told there was no record of me calling, so I go through the whole process again, and again no change. This went on for months before they actually stopped charging my old bank account. But still wouldn't update my info to account for the new bank account. Being in the military I had to leave for training for a couple of months without access to my phone, and in the mean time they still for some reason wouldn't charge my new bank account, resulting in months of missed payments. When I got back and was able to contact them, they told me they had no record of me ever contacting them and had my car out for repossession. They are a terrible institution as well as rude people. I highly recommend staying far away from them.

Got a CC and vehicle loan through Denali, paid off vehicle loan and they refuse to surrender the title until my CC is paid off in full. If I knew those were the conditions and they were upfront about their policies, I would never have signed with them. They refuse to even let the dmv have access to it so I can renew my registration in my new home state. Now I have a paid-off, unusable, paper weight cause I can’t get current registration.

Horrible management! Horrible customer service! Especially at the Safeway location in Wasilla. I am stuck on an auto loan with my ex. I cannot refinance. I do not even live in AK anymore and he had both sets of keys so I had no access to the vehicle when I was living there and cannot force him to refinance. This was the first auto loan I ever had so I was inexperienced and when I co-signed for an OR loan, I was not informed that if I wanted off the loan the primary would have to refinance. In fear that my ex might miss a payment and impact my credit score, I made the branch aware of my situation and confirmed with them that if there were to be a missed payment on the account I would be contacted and given the opportunity to pay it so that it would not get reported to collections because the vehicle is my ex's- he drives it- and is responsible for paying it. However, he missed a payment, no one ever contacted me, it went to collections, and is now on my credit report. No one at the branch could give me an explanation of why I was never contacted. I was told to speak to the collections department that they might be willing to unreport it due to the situation but the manager of the collections department refused to return my phone calls to discuss the situation. This company does not care about their clients. I would never do business with them again.

Horrible experience. Had a car loan that went without any issues until the car was in an accident and totalled and we could not reach anyone at the bank for over a week. Even our insurance company was kept on hold so long they had to hang up. We finally reached someone and asked that our payments be cancelled since it would be paid off. They seemed helpful enough, but didnt do it. Again we try to reach someone for another week and once we reach someone, they again say they will cancel our automatic payments...no surprise they didnt either and had no record of our previous call. So our bank acct gets overdrafted and we have to file a report with our other bank to stop them. We had GAP insurance so we thought we were finally done with them when the car got paid off and today I get two bills from them for two different payment amounts and that we have a past due amount. Guess who isn't calling us back? Absolutely the worst!!!! Still waiting for a call back....

The absolute worst credit union I've ever been forced to use. If I did not need to contact them abour my union vacation fund I would NEVER have an account through them. Wait times of over an hour just to try and speak to someone on the phone. Why would you purposefully bank with this place? There are tons of other options. Close your account immediately and bank somewhere that actually provides customer service. If you are looking for a new CU look elsewhere.
