Novartis Federal Credit Union S Ridgedale Ave, East Hanover

NCU has the feel of an old school local bank. Service is very good, hardly ever any wait times in person or on the phone if I have a question (calls go to the bank, not a call center). Recently had an issue connecting my bank account to a payment app, and they helped me sort out the issue quickly, and they waived the overdraft when the payment hit the wrong account. So much better then the big banks for service.

I appreciate the personal service. Its my first choice for my banking.

Incompetent and arrogant is how I'd describe the teller I interacted with today at Novartis. I was at this branch today to get a cashier's cheque via Novartis from my credit union which is in the same co-op branch network. And for whatever reason the teller I interacted with (I believe her name was Joelle/sounded something like that) was not at all courteous. She didn't have a sense of service and had a rude attitude and even worse knowledge of the system. The teller was unable to submit the request initially due to a withdrawal limit on my account (which I found out later) however instead of explaining that to the customer this teller just said it's not working - I was on the phone with my credit union to figure out the reason why 'it just wouldn't work' and the Novartis credit union teller did not seem interested what so ever to help out or guide. Eventually another teller at the branch was able to assist me. Hope they hire better employees who have better people skills at least for customer facing roles.

I have been with this credit union for 20 years they give personal attention and recently when I had fraudulent transactions they handled promptly with kindness and professionalism
