We had the most outstanding customer service using Jim Freda at NOVA Home Loans. We have closed on a number of properties over the years and never had the high level of personal customer service that Jim and the NOVA team provided us. Jim was on top of every detail and deadline and made sure to contact me by phone many times throughout the process to provide explanations and updates. I never had to worry whether we would close on time because the NOVA team stayed on track every step of the way. I felt like their loan fees were very reasonable, especially considering the high level of service. I would highly recommend using Jim and NOVA for your loan.

The initial pricing offered seemed too good to be true, even the seller’s agent commented how impressed they were with the rate and credits offered by Daniel. Daniel responded to all my email, calls or text inquiries immediately, rarely ever was he unavailable and when he was, I received a response within the hour, even weekends. I am a first-time buyer, so I had a lot of questions. Daniel and his whole team helped me through, and I feel like I got a great deal. Too bad Google doesn't offer zero stars as an option. I phoned Nova Home Loans on the advice of a colleague who said they did a great job for her. It took three days to get a return call. I was promised I'd get a rate quote for my refi by the end of the week. Well over a week passed and no quote. So I emailed a follow up request. The response gave me rates from two weeks ago, no longer available. Then she stated rates were fluctuating a lot and we could get started with a credit pull and submitting documents, then lock when rates improved again. Foolishly, based on their prior response times, I agreed. They did pull my credit immediately but never gave me new info until three days later when I called to ask. By then, rates were even higher. Exploring online, I found a much more favorable rate through the Costco Mortgage program (members only). Lower rate, lower origination fee, better overall choice. In less than an hour, I had a conversation with the Costco loan officer, locked in a favorable rate, and received the list of documents they need to proceed. Whoever you may choose to use for your mortgage, do not make the mistake I did of extending trust to the folks at Nova.
