I first approached Northpoint about procuring a loan for the purchase of my first home early May 2016. Ryan was able to answer all my questions concerning different builds, module vs. stick-built, as well as building vs. purchasing a pre-existing home and offer recommendations from personal experience. Our Loan Officer, Kyle, was fantastic with communicating all the technical details of the loan and made the whole process incredibly smooth, especially for me, as a first-time home buyer. Kyle was always quick to reply to emails and always had a great attitude, making him very approachable. The entire team at Northpoint was great to work with; at times they even worked into the night to keep the closing date on track. The partnerships they have formed and the recommendations they were able to make kept the process enjoyable and never became cumbersome. Ryan Thomas is a seasoned and very knowledgeable mortgage professional. He takes the time to understand the various individual needs and the desired outcome and approaches each loan with precision, speed and diligence. Ryan Thomas closed two loans for me: the purchase of my primary residence and its refinance thereafter. Each loan presented challenges. Ryan overcame them, while maintaining a professional and enthusiastic attitude throughout. I was very fortunate to benefit from his industry experience. He help me obtain the home it wanted. Then, he secured a lower interest rate and eliminated ten years from the term of my loan, allowing me to own it for less. Ryan's a good person. I'm happy to recommend him. I have had very good experiences with Northpoint Mortgage until I experience any type of issue. Unfortunately their problem resolution is less than desirable, and they lie or mislead their customers to try to "shut them up". Because they do not record their calls, they can claim you said whatever suits their interest and claim it is a she said/he said incident. I now have to file claims with the US Banking Department and such to get my problems resolved which is a big time and hassle. This would have been prevented had Northpoint just followed FCRA requirements and guidelines.
