The most chaotic and stressful loan experience I've ever had. I could not reach the team by text, phone or email for a whole month after the rate lock, and the loan was in limbo. That delayed the process so much that my 90-day lock expired, and I had to close at a significantly higher rate. Two days before the closing a new insurance requirement surfaced that required extensive coordination between the co-op, the insurance company, the attorneys on all sides, the bank, and myself to close on time, which was extremely stressful. This requirement was communicated by the bank to NJ lenders three weeks prior, but not raised until the last minute. These are just the major issues. I'm not even going to bother listing all the minor problems, such as duplicate requests for documents already submitted and multiple errors on the disclosure statements. I will never deal with NJ lenders again.

I felt like lack of communication from NJ Lenders rep on mortgage process. Things weren't don't properly, and their communication is mostly email, and text which I understand that is good communication, but when you have mortgage process that is almost closed to completed and you don't any respond back from this mortgage lenders that kind leave to figure out if they are actually doing anything and kind leaving the individual with uncertain situation, which what I had felt. I would not recommend any friend or family member this mortgage lenders from what I kind experience that I had went through.

It was the best of times, and the worst of times. The close eventually came through at the 11th hour and at a reasonable rate. We had several trying issues along the way, but they got it done and I’m pleased with the service. I think my loan officer, Justin, learned a lot from our case and will now be even better at the job than before because of it. Thank you for the help!

Worked with an agent on this company, do not recommend. When setting the payment date, my lawyer, this lender and I all agreed on a specific date. When I receiving my closing paper the lender had change the the payment date push forward one month, totally not what I was planning. screw my savings. Through the whole process this lender change his information all of the time, I did not want to change to another lender since I had some much time invested in the corporation. Avoid this company if you can I do not recommend.

We had a really bad experience with our first mortgage from this group. The lenders we worked with misled us and were not clear when explaining important aspects of the mortgage process. The communications via email were unprofessional to put it lightly and frequently we wouldn’t get a response when calling with questions. If this is your first mortgage, find another place!

My fiance and I had the pleasure of working with Rob Glasser from NJ Lenders through the mortgage process in purchasing our first home. Since day 1, Rob has been absolutely great to work with - he is very knowledgeable, has great communication, and is always quick to respond to any questions that we had along the way, no matter what time. For us, he made the process of finding the right mortgage easy and stress-free, which we truly appreciate. We would highly recommend Rob and NJ Lenders to everyone.

First off, they do multiple hard credit inquiries which impact your credit score. That alone should warn you not to bother with this company. When I tried to work with a lender I kept getting asked for the same documents from multiple people. They had the incorrect information on pre-approvals letters for loans every time I'd try to put an offer on a home. I was patient with them until I realized this was a pattern of incompetence. They're incredibly unresponsive and inefficient once you sign a document. I waited weeks for a response from their staff. Ultimately they're unresponsiveness and lack of clarity in the loan terms led me to seek other options since I couldn't imagine owing money to a company that couldn't even pick up the phone or reply to an email, and got loan terms wrong.

Highly communicative and efficient! Enabled us to close in about three weeks from signed contracts. Justin, Michael, and Bobbie were fantastic, and I highly recommend this team as a home lender.

Unorganized, sold our mortgage in a month, spam mail beyond belief. There are so many options this company will fight for your business and then you will be begging them to answer your questions in the last week of the mortgage process.

Robert went above & beyond for us, wrapping our mortgage process up in a timely fashion so we could do a 30 day close. As first time home buyers, we annoyed him with so many questions. I've held off on writing a public review of our experience with NJ Lenders in hopes that they would do something to improve but they've actually only made it worse so here it goes. NJ Lenders have made major mistakes at every step of the process with our loan with them, causing months of delays and additional costs. They have been very difficult to get a hold of when we've emailed and called, only responding after maybe the 3rd/4th follow-up. When they do finally respond, they probably only answer half the questions that were asked, which results in us having to further follow-up with them. After many months of delays, our loan finally closed in mid-February only to learn in March that they sold the loan to another lender (this is fine and we understand this is done regularly). However, the new lender seems to have no record of our loan, therefore our contractor, who started renovations when the loan closed in Feb, is not able to get his first disbursement. NJ Lenders said it should have only taken a few weeks after closing for the contractor to get paid and have apologized yet again for another mistake (among the many they've already made). We've received emails from various NJ Lender employees admitting their mistakes but they continue making them. PLEASE DO NOT TRUST YOUR LOAN PROCESS WITH THEM AS IT WILL BE A COSTLY MISTAKE. I'm a bit skeptical of the positive reviews (which we read and a reason why we decided to work with them). I would recommend reading the negative reviews as they are all very accurate to our experience.

Donald Maita with NJ Lenders made this the easiest mortgage process I've ever had !! From the first time I spoke with Don he made me feel comfortable and relaxed by really getting to know me & then listening to my needs . He then came up with a couple of options and asked me to think about it and get back to him ....he's definitely not your typical salesman / broker ... I never felt pressured at any point of the process appreciated that . So after making the decision to go forward and supplying Don with the necessary information....I think it was only about a week later that I got a call from Don telling me I was approved ....and a couple weeks later was my closing 😀

My wife and I decided to refinance our home....and we were referred to James Gallo with NJ lenders corp. From the beginning it was like pulling teeth. Over the course of 4 MONTHS, we had to resend the SAME INFORMATION over and over again, without any explanation or updates from James. Finally, on the day of closing....the NOTARY told us to have a check for $8,900. We called James to get an explanation as this had not been explained at all...and he responded "you'll get it all back from escrow". When our escrow check arrived weeks later....it was in the amount of $5,100. NO ONE TOLD US OUR REFINANCE WOULD COST NEARLY $4,000 OUT OF POCKET. I believe that James pushed this across the finish line at the last second....avoiding the discussion of the potential cost to us that might cause delay. Up until this point there was NO DISCUSSION of closing costs. If we could go back we would NEVER have chosen to work with this company.
