I called Newrez to refinance my existing mortgage with them. I have been with them for years with an impeccable record. My loan office Dylan Lavern was non responsive, quite rude and told me untruths about my application (credit was frozen-not true). Please stay clear of this company.

I worked with Gavin and Julia on my refinancing and taking out money. Best experience I’ve had. They were very easy to work with and help me out every step of the way. They got me what I wanted and I couldn’t be more happy. Thanks guys. If you ever need to refinance hit up Gavin Looney! Great experience !!!

The best mortgage consultant that went above and beyond is Gavin Loney. Consider him one of the best employees at NewRez. Also Barbara Collier the processor as things dragged on with the underwriters based on the original details of the refinance as they changed. Not what was originally planned, but Gavin was always trying to get the best deal for me and to retain me as a customer and is a stand-up gentleman. If I ever refinance I certainly hope it goes more smoothly. Happy Holidays!

Worst company for a refinance. Have existing loan with NewRez. Applied Refi for same property for a lower loan amount, interest, monthly payment 7 months ago. Should have been an easy loan. Provided same documents constantly. Constantly received following message from NewRez processors: "We have received all conditions needed to proceed with your loan. Due to high volume, we are experiencing delays". Why would a company start a loan if you cannot close even in seven months. Did multiple credit checks as they become old after every few months. Every new processor would ask different documents/conditions. Notified Customer Advocacy 2 months ago. Still no use. Decided to cancel the loan.

I just did another refi with NewRez my mortgage company and got an awesome rate of 2.6. On both refi's I used my awesome Mortgage Consultant Jeremy Wetmore he is very knowledgeable and thorough at his job and when I found out rates were dropping again I went with him again and it was quick and painless due to his extensive knowledge in his job he was fast and always so kind when I had some pretty stupid questions lol. I will definitely contact him again in the future if I ever have any mortgage needs. Thanks again so much Jeremy for everything.

Brian Baxter is the best mortgage consultant I've ever worked with. Great experience. He is quick and efficient. He excelled by following up and providing guidance with any questions I had. Our mortgage was sold to NewRez and we got an email from Andrew Brotman about a refinancing opportunity. We called him back and he was super friendly on the phone and easy to work with. From our initial contact to loan closing was only 3 weeks! Andrew helped us refinance down a whole percentage, and knock nearly 7 years off of our mortgage! He always returned calls and email promptly and made the refinance process very easy.

I recently worked with Russell Allen to refinance my mortgage. He was very responsive, helpful and patiently answered my questions and concerns. About halfway through the process, however, my husband decided to switch jobs. This made moving a likely possibility, so a refinance didn't make sense for us anymore. I felt bad after all the effort Mr. Allen had put in, but he couldn't have been more gracious and understanding about it.

Chris Hess worked very hard to ensure our loan was completed well before our settlement on our house. He is very good as is the entire staff that i encountered while working with them. I highly recommend New Penn and have referred a few people to them already. when it comes time to refi or buy a new house, ill be going right back to them

I recently refinanced my condo using New Penn Financial. Gavin Loney, Mortgage Consultant, is hands down one of their biggest assets. This young man answered questions I had way before I was even certain I wanted to use New Penn to do my refinance. Not only was he very knowledgeable, he was willing to go through even the most basic questions. Refinancing is a huge decision. It takes patience and persistence. I was able to see a great deal of savings and the amount needed to make the close happen was way lower than I had ever expected. Although the process is long and arduous (in my case) working with New Penn Financial and Gavin Loney made the transaction a success. I would suggest Gavin and New Penn Financial to all of my family and friends. He is truly a gem.

Terrible! Horrible and frustrating experience! Jeffrey Norton, the Licensed Mortgage Consultant (NMLS # 114115) that was assigned to me to refinance totally ignored my emails and phone calls. I have no idea why! I even left a message with his supervisor and all of them are ignoring me! I didnt pick these guys but I've found a new lender! It's amazing that people expect you to beg them to pay them for service nowadays... NO WAY!

APRIL 25,2022 UPDATE: RUN FAR AWAY FROM TAKING A MORTGAGE OUT WITH THIS COMPANY!!!!! After 3 weeks of thinking my issue was resolved, NewRez did it again. I never reinstated my autopay, but they withdrew my mortgage AGAIN!!! The incompetency in communication between departments is over the top. I don't understand how they've been in business. Oh how I wish I could get a new mortgage company... 3 weeks earlier: Been an auto pay customer for years. I get a letter in the mail stating I didn't pay my March mortgage payment. And how did that happen?? I never called to cancel. Second time this has happened to me. When I spoke with customer service and asked for an explanation of why they cancelled my auto pay, she told me she nor the payment center could provide an explanation. As a customer, wouldn't you think I have a right to know why they randomly dropped my payment method? No forewarning, nothing. Good thing I wasn't out of town bc then I would have gotten charged late fees, etc bc I had no idea. Not a satisfied customer at all.

Russell Allen Jr. was the absolute best to work with. He was professional, helpful, always quick to respond to emails and phone calls and answer any questions we had along the way. When our refinancing became delayed and no one would respond to us we reached out to him and he got us to close in a week! Highly recommend you request him and/or contact him first when using NewRez. We cannot say enough good things about him.

Well, he was the most polite person, and concerned about my refinancing, that I have ever talked to. We had many conversation, and he never made me feel like I was taking away time from him. Jeff Crusse at New Penn Financial has provided my family with excellent home loan services on 3 occasions. Two times he assisted me in refinancing my home with a lower interest rate and most recently he helped me get a mortgage for a new home. In addition to providing my family with monetary resources, I was also able to lean on him as resource when trying to figure out whether I should add-on to my existing home or purchase a new larger home. He gave me all the steps I needed to take to make an informed decision. All went extremely smooth during our most recent home purchase through New Penn. We worked with Bill. We were pleased with the time that Bill spent working to get our mortgage approved. He called me everyday letting me know the status of the mortgage. It took quite awhile because of various issues. Bill kept working on it, never giving up. If we ever decide to refinance again, I would have no problem contacting Bill to help us get a new mortgage.
