Our loan changed hands multiple times before our first payment was due. We have a loan with this company since the end of last year. The last six months we have spent filing letters on the website emailing and calling multiple departments as well as filing official complaints in writing. We have in our last home had PennyMac they were great we have our auto with Wells Fargo also great we also have with US Bank this is the first time we have had a loan of this size handled by what appears to be a call center for a collection agency with no opportunity to go into a local branch and go over specifics of the loan as well as expectations. Whatever you do if this place is not forced upon you DO NOT CHOOSE IT INDEPENDENTLY !!! There are so many wonderful places to work with and this place is like a check advance place or a very low budget collection agency you can only escalate your issues to their own department supervisors which are not able to assist in your situation and true complaints are to be filed in writing and then not followed up to or responded. We always over pay our mortgage on time. We communicated everything upfront as we awaited our supplemental tax bill and over paid escrow while waiting. They incorrectly informed us of proper procedure requirements on multiple occasions. Our supplemental tax bill is due in 10 days the money is intentionally in our escrow account to pay it and they are refusing to issue the money to the assessor or us in time to pay it. Although we have been in communications with them since last November regarding this very item and even with a customer service rep called the assessors office to confirm the supplemental bill and they "noted" the system. I would advise any and all borrowers/consumers under no circumstances choose this company. We have filed a complaint with the BBB as our account has been mishandled by this company since origination.

Don't go with this company. They lie about everything to get your business! Worst company. They kept our money in escrow after saying we would get this back. They said you can skip 2 months of mortgage while they finish your loan. This was not true. We have documentation on every conversation. After signing with this horrible company I quickly regretted it

Stay away from New Rez...Should have read the reviews before attempting a refi with this company. Filed in January and now it's August. Nothing but delays that lead to requests for redundant information. Emailed our processors and the emails bounced back as undeliverable. I can't stress this enough, go anywhere but New Rez to refinance

So this company just took over my mortgage. Recieved a notice saying they were taking over my mortgage and if I already was set up for automatic payments I wouldn't need to do anything it would continue. Well noticed that my payment didn't get withdrawn this month (first month with them) so I call them explain the issue and give my loan number, the lady told me that I need to sign up online. Well try to sign up and get error message, so call back and was told that I had a new account # (this information wasn't given on first call). Made my payment and then tried to set up for reoccurring payments and get a message that it was unavailable due to a late payment. Had my old mortgage company for 12yrs never had an issue, first month with this company and not starting off well, hopefully it will get better, because I don't see how it could get worse.

I have purchased three homes in my lifetime, I am 65 yrs old, great credit, no bankruptcies, no foreclosures, very little debt. I am currently retired, but still working part time with a disability, and I wanted to take advantage of the lower rates. This has been the worst, most unprofessional experience I have ever had with a lender. No truth in lending here! Gave all financial 3 different times, signed two different contracts, and applied two different times for an application. Numbers changed, no phone calls, no communication, stalling technics... I am working during this most difficult time in America, however, this company has lost my trust completely. I have every intention of going with another lender now after 7 weeks of lost docs, misleading information, and no communication. Terrible, buyer beware!!!

This is literally the most idioc and disorganized company I have ever dealt with! They are rude, unprofessional, and can never do simple things like update mailing addresses or contact information -- you have to call 10+ times to get these simple tasks handled. Even the "supervisors" are the worst! AVOID THIS COMPANY including PHH Mortgage and Shellpoint Mortgage which are divisions of New Rez. Even getting a proper payoff statement is like pulling teeth. They transfer files from one person to another, one division to another, never update files, can't locate accurate paperwork, etc. I did not have one positive encounter with this company over a couple years (my loan was transferred to them) and am SO happy that I sold my house and never have to deal with these idiots again.

We tried to refinance and we wasted 8-10 months of dealing with incompetent individuals. They kept transferring our file from person to person, which is why it took forever, because we had to start from scratch each time, just for them to tell us we were denied our attempt to refinance. We NEVER had a missed or late payment, our credit history is EXCELLENT with 780 credit score, both of us employed full time with government jobs. They're a joke.

Took them nearly two months to endorse our hurricane claim check, meanwhile our roof continued to leak causing more damage! Im refinancing now and they will not send the payoff amount as promised. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY....Never have I been treated so horrible! Refinance with banks that will not sell your mortgage to these clowns! Pen-Air federal sold our mortgage, Im going with regions bank if i can ever get my payoff! Sadly i have attorney drafting a letter and i will file a lawsuit if i have to escape this corruption!!!

We are in the middle of a re-financing nightmare. We started int Sept 2020 and are still not done (Feb 2021)We have sent the same info multiple times- (pay stubs, W2, etc). We have been Asked several times to sent HOA info when we don’t have an HOA and have told them every time. They have done multiple employment verification checks to the point it’s embarrassing as both my husband I have been at our jobs for over a decade. Our rate expired and they were able to get a lower one however they did another credit check which lowered our credit score due to the inquiry. We don’t feel we are able to cancel as to go somewhere else would impact out credit score negatively again. We have called to speak to anyone who can help and were told a manager will contact us- they never have. We have over 80 emails of correspondence sometimes we get a reply, sometimes not. But it’s always along the lines of they don’t know when it will close, or it is someone else’s responsibility. We are ready for it close and this nightmare to end.

This eas the company that was holding our current mortgage. We started the refinance process in August 2020. The customer service or lack thereof during the process was terrible. We ultimately refinanced with a different lender. I would definitely not recommend this company.
