NewFed Mortgage Corp High St, Danvers

This place is a scam. They won’t let me make payments over the bare minimum. Can’t make principal payments. I’m losing hundreds of dollars every month paying interest!! Their customer service keeps telling me they’re busy and will call me back… no one calls me back! My contract says I can make principal payments. This place is not allowing me! I will be reporting this lender.

I have worked with Rich Garofalo for five years, and he is the best! He helped me when I was a first time home buyer and helped me during a refinance into a shorter term loan. As you can imagine, it's very intimidating buying a house for the first time and there are a lot of things you do not know or think about. James is very thorough and assisted through entire process. There were many hurdles as it was a 203k loan but it happened and rate was excellent! Having bought 3 times this was definitely the best experience I have had. The entire process electronic so be prepared to communicate via email and be able to upload what is needed but if you can do that they have rates no other company was able to beat, low closing costs and the team was fantastic! Julie Long was my loan officer and her and Lyndsay took great care of us ensuring we got everything in we needed. It was seamless as the loan moved to underwriting and closing. The closing costs estimated were delivered and we had no issues meeting the closing date. They even dropped my rate at no charge when the overall rates dropped.

Mary Mitchell was fantastic! She was very involved and stayed in touch with us through the whole process and even followed up after closing. Her expert advice and knowledge guided us through a complicated transaction and we are very happy with her top quality service. We will definitely work with her again in the again and I will definitely be referring friends and clients to her!

We are incredibly extremely upset at NewFed. There is a complete lack of consideration for peoples hard-earned money. NewFed is non-responsive when it comes to accepting and processing principal payments. We have lost around a thousand dollars paying interest as they have been non-responsive for 2 months, keeping us from making a principal payment and now the past 2.5 to 3 weeks as we wait for them to process it.

If you are Meticulous with your time like Me…I Highly Recommend you go Elsewhere…Went back to them to Refinance my Mortgage & it was a disaster very unprofessional…Big mistake on my part but I learned a valuable lesson…💯✅
