My loan manager, Damien, was largely inaccessible and non-communicative for days at a time (both phone and email). Each time he would check on something, it took days to get information about what next steps were needed. He also continually said he would reach out, touch base, or finalize something by a deadline--that he then repeatedly failed to meet. He would promise that he could do something or make something work, but then he couldn't because of some new information or form needed. My closing took so long and had to be rescheduled so many times that my seller almost backed out entirely. Very disappointing, and would NOT recommend. The only bright light was my final processor, Diana. She was the only competent person I worked with at NAF. She was quick to reply to emails and new what she needed and when she would have answers for me. She saved my deal.

New American funding found a way to get my client approved after being denied by another lender. Will definitely be referring them to future clients.

After reading all the good reviews and seeing good rates on Credit Karma I decided to give this lender a shot. So I called on Wed 12/1 and was transferred to Oscar's voicemail so I left him a voice message. Didn't hear back, so I called again the next day (Thursday) and talked a representative which said that she is going to email Oscar and let him know. Still no call back. On Friday I got automated text message then connected with Richard which told me that Oscar is my loan officer and that he will reach out shortly. When did Oscar call me? He called me on Sunday morning (after 4 days) and since I was driving I asked for an appointment so I can go through the details and write down numbers, he said he will call me tomorrow (on Monday) at 1 pm. Here we go it is Monday 1:30 pm and no call from Oscar. This is the worst experience I have ever had with a lender, other lenders call you in couple hours, send text message, and email, and setup appointments appropriately with a calendar invite. I am really shocked how this branch have all these good reviews. The good news is I am done with New American Fund, they just lost couple business opportunities with me and I will never recommend them in the future to anyone.

It was and excellent experience working with the team at New American Funding. Ryan O'Donnell was our agent and he did a superb job going to bat for us and keeping us updated each step of the way. We would not have been able to secure our forever home without the support from Ryan and the New American Funding family. I would certainly recommend this company above any other. There's no need to look anywhere else other than New American Funding for your next home purchase!

Rodney Ream was very professional and Accessible, and very knowledgeable and treated me and my family with the upmost respect. He helped me and my family reach the American dream of owning our own Houses. Me and my wife are the first in our family to own a house and Rodney Ream was there from the beginning of the journey to the finish line of the closing and for that we will always be grateful for the friendship that was developed at the end of this journey towards home ownership.

I was very unhappy with the way my loan was handled. Unfortunately due to how far into the process was and the need to close ASAP I had no choice but to keep using NAF. I had questions about things and asked for phone calls and no one called. I received requests for documents and no information why. I would have liked a more personal experience that explained the processes and steps. My original loan officer was more hands on than Erek. I feel Kellie was also non existent. I had nearly no personal interaction with her. She sounded confused and unsure of what step we were on when I did speak to her. Between title company, NAF and the realtor, no one knew what page the other was on. NAF cost me more money because of their inept staff. I had a higher interest rate because no one handled switching my loan officer when she was let go. I had to spend more money to secure that higher interest rate because NAF couldn’t schedule my appraisal sooner. I had no choice but to continue with your garbage tier service or risk losing our home. No consideration was given to my closing date needs. I’m just a small borrower that is just a number in your book. I had to pay thousands of dollars for this bad service. I’ll be very vocal to anyone I speak with about avoiding this company. I will actively seek out to post comments and reviews on any forum I can to let people know to avoid NAF at all costs. Completely unhappy and felt like I am paying for your terrible service skills.

Camille stayed with me through several purchase attempts until we found a good fit. She was always encouraging and positive that I would find something.

Erek Wildner is amazing!!! He was absolutely phenomenal while helping my buyer through the home buying process! He is responsive and never meets a beat! Hands down he is the best lender I have ever worked with. He’s what it takes to get the job done. His attention to detail is outstanding. He is proactive and not reactive. Melvin Hagler was amazing. Working with him and his company, to include Misty, made refinancing my two homes easy, pleasant and it was filled with timely information.
