I sold a car for $6,000 and got a check from Navy Federal Credit Union and had no problems cashing it. I walked in with the check, and walked out with the cash with ease, no hassle like that much tends to cause elsewhere. Also, I'm not a member, but there was no fee which is highly unusual and much appreciated as it can be $5-10% of the check depending on the bank, like Key bank will charge an outlandish fee even if the check is from their bank.

I live over 100 miles away from the nearest branch and called twice ahead of time to see what all I needed to do a name change on my account. I was told that a driver’s license and SS card with the new name would work. Obviously that was wrong. All this paperwork of a marriage certificate (and in my case a divorce decree) along with ID and SS to change my name. After being frustrated with that I asked if I can’t at least take my ex husband off of the account and was told no. He would have to come in and volunteer to get off of the account. I closed and opened new accounts a few times since I’ve been divorced and have been told that he wouldn’t be on those accounts. I’m highly disappointed with the events of this morning.

Navy Federal is very interesting. Besides the long waits for basic bank service, the office and staff seem half alive and half dead or incapable of keeping up with the demand. Secondly my husband and I drove 2 hours to reach this branch only to find that we were served by an overly eager bank representative. Not over eager to help us with banking but over eager to talk excessively about her personal life and negative talk about her marriage and then to carry on in flirting with my husband telling him that she would attend his comedy show if he had one. It was very awkward and very uncomfortable for both of us. When we left we felt like she was very unprofessional and , eager for extra attention. We expected a laugh or two and to be in and out in 20 minutes but instead she grossly engaged in personal over ambitious behavior and we ended up spending over an hour and a half there for a simple banking procedure. We are hoping that Navy Federal will train their employees better on customer professionalism so that customers do not have to endure such uncomfortable situations.

A joke. The went ahead and deposited a STOLEN $7000 check that was placed in a OVERNIGHT ATM...... No questions ask. Now, 3 months later, I'm still waiting for them to send the asked for documentation so that I can get my money back. But because I'm not a member they can't help me. $7000 from an ATM NO QUESTIONS ASKED!!!!!! Absolutely ridiculous. I have to go inside my bank with the other signee and both show proof of ID to deposit a $50 check...... FIFTY!!! Utterly outrageous

I had a credit card with Navy Federal for three years. Paid my payments on time every month. I requested a credit limit increase and the person I spoke with said they would not do a hard pull to my credit report. I told them I am trying to buy a home and don’t want a hard pull on my report or I’ll withdraw the application for the CLI. I got a credit alert from my monitoring service and they indeed did a hard pull. I have multiple friends that have had increases without the hard pull on their credit. Disappointing. Considering pulling out of Navy Fed and switching to USAA or Pentagon Credit Union.

Just recently opened up a checking and savings account. Just wanted to make a deposit. Found out they can print my debit card out in the bank 🏦.The customer service was excellent by Amanda, Kaitlyn and Sarah. You ladies 🚺 definitely made a great first impression of this bank 🏦. Thank you again.

Came in for some information about updating my name, the man at the front counter was helpful with that one piece of information. I take it that he might be new only because when I mentioned my TSP and asked to speak to someone about getting it transferred to NavyFed, he asked me what TSP is, I told him Trift Savings Plan, same blank expression, I then said Military equivalent of a 401k. He then gave me an excuse to not get me set up with a member representative and sent me on my way. I think that maybe more training might be helpful.

The credit union we'd been at for 30 years told us we'd not be able to qualify for a home loan. Navy Fed got us a $475,000 VA loan. Then for our new truck, the Ford dealer did the paper work incorrectly and overcharged us $7,000. Imagine trying to get that back from a car dealer! Well, Navy Fed conference called with us to get it worked out over the phone with the dealer!!! Such awesome customer service. I will never bank anywhere else.

Been with Nav Fed for 5 years now and they have always exceeded my expectations, whether it be loans, knowledge of being smart with my money or just coming in to deposit money. They have an app on my phone that has saved me countless hours of having to drive and talk to someone, it is so easy to use. Navy Federal will be my bank for the for seen future in order to be able to make their day better whether it be a smile or posting a review they really do set their own pace in customer service satisfaction.Thank you Navy Federal!

I never with any of my other banks credit cards, do they charge interest on your purchase without giving you a chance to pay for it, but Federal Navy does and their rationality is timing when purchased it. That's bull, I asked another bank if they ever heard of it and they said no. I made a big purchased and they banked on it. I will no longer bank with them ,cause they are thieves.
