    Navy Federal Credit Union Reviews

Absolute worst Navy Federal staff. In fact, the only bad staff I've encountered. One of their employees got into an argument with me over an NFL player exposing himself to children, saying it isn't a big deal & shouldn't be viewed as exposure. Well. I don't recall when I served that corruption of minors and indecent exposure were offenses to look the other way on. But to seek me out on Twitter to express these perversions reflects poor credit on the Armed Forces. Most of us served for some level of desire to do good. This branch has a hiring issue.

You weren’t open when you said you would be. After driving across town on my day off, you had a little tiny notice about a change in hours. Your online presence on Google did not reflect that either. You have control over that, but you didn’t update your information. You failed your customers, many of whom also thought it was open and walked up to a locked door. And I was there for a reason for which I needed to be physically present. Do better.

For many years I have been wondering if a Navy Federal Credit Union would ever be opened close to my home. This location is excellent on customer satisfaction and services. Would be great to see more locations in the San Gabriel Valley. Remember to keep Navy Strong and be safe.

Good customer service from Denise. She was friendly and handled my debit card replacement within minutes. Who knew you can get a debit card printed on-site. I have had navy federal for five years and I have experienced amazing customer service. This new location is right by my job which is very convenient!

I am an essential worker who was trying to provide healthcare out in the community during this pandemic. I am also a Veteran, and was a 9/11 first responder. I had difficulties accessing my account with Navy Federal last week which was causing me to become increasingly late seeing a sick patient that was waiting for me. My PC was not working and I was unable to access my account on my phone. Nobody would assist me on the phone because I was “rude” to one of their employees out of frustration knowing my time was being wasted while this patient was waiting for me. The next day someone started emptying my account from another state. I got notifications of this through text messages and since I was unable to speak to someone on the phone or access my account the charges went from pending to clearing my account. This is when I obtained and reached out to CEO Mary McDuffie who has refused to respond to one email. I have outlined the hardship they created in detail only to be blatantly ignored. I am completely unable to work because I do not have money to put gas in my car. My debit card is frozen because of fraud and the credit union is denying me access to my funds. I’m unable to pay my rent which was due last week and I now have to leave my house by Friday since I am unable to pay my rent. The reason I’m so depleted for resources is I just starting digging myself out of an enormous hardship that was created when I was pushed out of my job at a large upscale hospital in Los Angeles for reporting unsafe patient conditions and discrimination against minority patients. That battle has been going on since 2018 and I was unemployed for a very long time as a result leaving me with nothing. In fact after 5 months of paying all of my bills with no income I was finally forced to declare bankruptcy with not one late or missed payment. I am a transplant out here and most of my “friends” were tied to my previous job so they disappeared when I left that job. This is the third time I’ve faced losing my housing in the past year. At this point I’ve simply embraced it. I have fought for the last two years to get justice for the patient’s in the hospital where I worked and now I have to fight an organization that is supposed to support and serve veterans to give me what’s left of my money so that I can try to scrounge up the difference and hang onto my housing. You can only be pushed down so many times and eventually it’s just easier to give up. I will live in my car. Another statistic in Los Angeles County. And yes, I contacted all the regulatory agencies and they are working on taking action against the credit union I am told, but that’s not going to help me because it’s going to take months likely to get anything done and I don’t have months. Everyone talks about how we value “veterans”, “first responders”, “nurses”, and “essential workers” but in trying to do the right thing I have been met with nothing but disinterest and outright malice every step of the way. I guess all that matters is what you say not what you actually do. I’m sure that Ms. McDuffie has been tucked away very comfortably in her home during this pandemic while people like myself are out there trying to actually provide services to those most impacted. I can and would be glad to respond to any questions and I can provide proof of every single claim I have made. If there are any questions at all please send me a message and as long as my cell phone is active I will respond. These are the two emails that I have verified that go directly to the people in leadership. If you feel like this is wrong than please reach out and let them know. I drove 2.5 hours to this branch because it’s the closest to me. I live in Valencia. I arrived and GPS took me to Walmart not knowing that Navy Federal was on the backside. I arrive at 5:59 and am instantly denied service. I was actually ignored for 2-3 more minutes before being approached and told that they were closed. I needed to cash a money order for my rent and I’m now in my car about to drive 2.5 hrs back home in order to drive back here again tomorrow. This place is the furthest thing from hard working.
