My husband had been a customer of Bank of America for 9 years in 2020, and for 5 years (starting 2014 when we married) I was a customer. We hated Bank of America for the duration we were with them. We had numerous bad experiences with them and were constantly getting charged ridiculous banking fees. In October 2020 we made the decision to cut ties with them and start banking with Navy Federal because we had heard lots of great things about them and my dad is a Navy Veteran and suggested it to us. This past year has been a great banking with them and they will have our business for the rest of our lives. The customer service over the phone, online, and the Corpus Christi branch has been phenomenal! We never have problems banking with them, we are never charged ridiculous banking fees like boa did, and they care about their customer like family. Today I went into the branch and missed them closing by two minutes. I explained I lived out of town and rushed here right after work and barely missed them. They with no hesitation helped me just replace my missing debit card with no hassles and delivered prompt excellent customer service. I recommend this credit union to any veterans or veteran family members to bank with Navy Federal because they are nation wide and always treat their customers very well!

We used Navy Federal for our home loan. This was my third home purchase and it was the absolute worst. The appraisal was a month late. Closing was pushed back 3 times. The 2 guys on our lending team wouldn’t answer the phone and were very delayed in getting back to us. We moved up closing on our house from out of state so the money would hit our account in time for closing on this house but because the appraisal wasn’t done and closing was delayed we didn’t have a house to move into. We have livestock and animals so a hotel wasn’t a longterm option. We were able to rent the house but it added another $1000 to our costs. We asked for some kind of restitution from Navy Federal for the delays and unexpected costs. They’re response was that it wasn’t really their fault. I have never had a worse experience with home buying and we won’t be doing a home loan with them again.

I have been banking with them a little over 7 years, was unemployed 3 months then finally got a check in the mail tried to cash it where they only wanted to give me half and put the rest on a 5 day hold. branch manager “evonne” said she could wave the hold but wasn’t going to, didn’t care about me trying to feed my family or keep my house and vehicles, as a veteran I do not recommend this credit unions worst customer servicethey are selfish crooks! I’ll be swapping banks ASAP

New to the institution, we could have easily rated the experience as a 4 or even a 5 stars if it wasn't for the receptionist. We went in to open an account, the receptionist definitely, the poor thing, has some stereotypical bias she need seriously to work on. The tone of voice in her questions to why we were there was unwelcoming and made us feel that we don't belong there. We don't have the typical white American look, and that in her mind, most likely made her think we can't possibly be a military or a vet family, and probably don't have much means either, and we shouldn't be walk-in to waste her time. If I was her supervisor, I won't fire her, but I will certainly obligate her to get some training to better herself in not falling pray to stereotype bias and to treat people with respect no matter how they look, even if the don't belong there. Anyhow, she sent us out to wait, and we were called back in after 10 minutes or so. The gentleman who open our account however was terrific. If he had shown the slighted narrow mindedness as the receptionist did, we had decided, we would walk out without joining. Will see how the rest of the team will treat us as we go from here.

Do NOT bank here. Opened a checking...no problem. Deposited my check, imefiate access to funds. Two weeks later go to deposit check, now I have to wait 5 business days for access to funds. So that would be two weekends later. Funny they didnt tell me that when I signed up. They also didnt tell me about the $10 monthly checking fee. I found that on my paperwork.

They pay close attention to detail and follow the rules/guidelines exactly how they are suppose to. Everyone I have come into contact with there has went above and beyond. The best credit union/ bank hands down!!

Navy Federal quoted me an interest rate of 4.5 % for a home loan refinance. That is extremely high in this market of historically low rates. I have excellent credit and a good loan to value ratio which should allow me to obtain a very low rate. Needless to say I refinanced with a different lender.

Terrible credit union. There is only 1 location in town & their ATM is always down. The staff is very rude & does not like to help their clients. I went to deposit a check I received from an employer & they said I would have to wait 2 days in order for check to be released. My account is fine & I have been a member for 3 years. Honestly, I think the teller did not want to assist me for whatever reason. Will be closing my account soon!

I will never recommend this bank to anyone! Horrible customer service! They tell you one thing and do another! They will pull money out of you account without your consent when you have a loan with them even when you set up specific dates to have it pulled out of your account! They have horrible staff that do not want to fix the issues when they are the ones that have made the mistake! I am very disappointed with this bank and this service! I will no longer bank with them! If you are looking for a bank I highly recommend Navy Army!

I like many are dismayed that Navy Federal has only ONE location from the Bay to the S. Staples location. That is only the first part. Secondly, I do not appreciate being treated as less than human when I arrive at the bank. I have physically visited this location about four times and only one visit was I greeted with a smile and spoken to as a customer and several accounts held at THIS particular Navy Federal. The other three times the bank tellers were rude not placing my card within my hands, not making eye contact, using monotone and sarcastic conversation, and the list can go on. Just say it, you don't care for my kind and you enjoy looking down on certain people because of the color of their skin. I get it but it is interesting that cashiers' would have such a racist / bigoted attitude toward Black folks. I have watch the interactions standing in line and IT ISN'T JUST ME!!! IF YOU WANT ME TO KEEP MY MONEY IN YOUR BANK AND THE CREDIT CARD ACCOUNT OPEN, CLEAN UP YOUR OBVIOUSLY RACIST ATTITUDES!!!
