This is the second National Pawn I visited in the last month and was also happy with this location. Like the other one I visited I walked in and it was clean and everything nicely organized and easy to look around. I was greeted by a very nice and patient young man named Zach who assisted me with selecting some silver jewelry. Like the other location everything I was looking for was there in excellent condition and great and fairly priced. I plan to go to at least 3 more locations to shop because they are clean, well organized, fair prices but most of all nice, friendly staff who are willing to help and patiently walk you through the whole process...so THANK YOU. When so many places are forgetting about good customer service and blaming it on Covid-19..You still believe good customer service will give you returning customers and customers who will refer friends and family to your location. I definitely will too.

EDIT: 3 years ago when I posted this I had bought a white Gshock watch from there. I gave it to a good friend and I miss it everyday. That was the best watch I’ve ever owned and hope to find another one like it one day.

I promised Brandi a review. My husband and I went to National pawn this afternoon and Brandi was absolutely WONDERFUL. We bought a watch, 2 coach purses and a Michael Kors purse. I did layaways with Brandi and couldn't believe when she said free layaway with only 10% down. Outstanding customer service from Brandi. Go down and check her out they have great deals!! The store was also VERY clean.

If a half a star was possible that would still be too much because I have gotten better customer service at a fast food restaurant and was just treated like I was some bum off the street when I have on nice clothes and came in to try to get a loan on a $130 pair of sunglasses that were in good condition and only asked for a loan of $25. So it wasn't like I was asking for any ridiculous amount and not only did they offer me $5 like I brought in a pair of glasses from Dollar General that were scratched up and in terrible shape, when these are in great condition. I was also talked to like I was a bum off the street.... very disappointing when I tell everyone that ever asks about a pawn shop to go here and then when I myself go in I get treated like trash! I guess sometimes people don't stop to think of people's feelings or what the actual definition of customer service is and then when I told them I felt like that was disrespecting me to offer a $5 Pawn on something that I paid $130 for four months ago that is in good condition they started telling me that I needed to leave the store and it was just all in all very disappointing and kind of embarrassing that I have been telling anyone who asked to go here but I hope that made each and every one of y'all in there today feel better about yourself because that was very very unacceptable for a company that is supposed to care about the customers not degrade them and make them feel like they are something they are not! Minus 5 stars!

I've been coming here for a while and this is always my first choice of pawn shops, but I prefer the old staff. They were more repeatable and gave more money on loans. And 1 question.... why ask how much you need towards an item if you aren't going to to take the amount needed into consideration and not get anywhere close?

Best pawn shop ever! I sold a gold chain I inherited and didn't expect to get much since I always hear how pawn shops never pay much at all and you'll usually only get like 10-30% of an items value. I was very pleasantly surprised when they offered me 50% of the chain's market value! Laura was the person I spoke with and she was so friendly and helpful! Also, one of the few pawn shops I’ve been to that actually has a selection of things to buy right now, and they have a large selection at that. I WISH I COULD GIVE A NEGATIVE STAR to this place worst customer service I have experienced at a pawn shop if you are country white (female) just keep driving they don't want your business rude and not willing to work a deal for us folks who are country, they had a ASTRO arcade gaming thing wanted 170 or 150 I can't recall now but I found one online better Condition and cheaper 100bucks for it but they wouldnt take less for theirs next was a Chainsaw that was sitting since August 2020 and they wouldn't even take ten bucks off they seemed like they didn't want us there so no worries myself and my family will go down the road to America pawn for its business from now on dory was the associate who "helped "us that day .

I bought an item and returned it because it was broke now the lady told me even if I paid with my debt card I will receive cash back with in 72hrs of the return. I came back same day and still haven't received my money on card nor hand. Been a week still nothing.

I called to get information on the type of cameras this location has. The lady that answered would only give me the brand but not the model number. She said that I’d have to come in if I wanted additional information. Even after I explained that it wasn’t feasible for me to do that being that I reside in South Carolina, she still wouldn’t help. I’m not sure why other locations gave me detailed information but this one couldn’t. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!

I would like to recognize Roberta Featherstone for exceptional customer service, I had several bad experiences @ Cash America which ranged from very poor customer service, long waits without acknowledgement, rude associates, I stopped by National just to see what they had to offer, immediately I was acknowledged by every associate in the store even though they were assisting customers, not long Roberta introduced herself and took time to point out the stores attention to customer satisfaction, I made my initial purchase that day, upon every visit since I receive that same level of service from Roberta even if she is with a customer, she will make sure another associate will assist me, I would like to thank her, because she exceeds customers expectations.

Jimmy is incredible! Great personality and customer service. Atmosphere is very nice & energetic. Merchandise is playing as walked in and workers are all very friendly (yes even Diana) haha, and all seem to be a great team.

Great place to shop! If I’m looking for a certain tool I always call Roberta. She will take care of you and always remembers her customers.

Jimmy & Anna are absolutely PHENOMENAL!! This entire store is incredible. We’ve had nothing but an A+ experience since our first visit. The manager there sucks . She wouldn't give me the same loan amount I had 3 different times there. The other girl smelled like she had one to many drinks. what happened to the good people that were there? not going here again

Everyone here at National Pawn Gastonia is absolutely amazing. Carlos helped us two days in a row and was VERY hospitable, helpful, and informative. I would HIGHLY recommend this place to anyone if you need to get some money fast!! Nothing but a good time here at National Pawn Gastonia!!!

BEWARE......I had a lay away and was making parcial payments. After asking if it was alright with 2 employees. They said the merchandise wouldn't be put back out if they saw I was showing a interest in getting it out. They put it back out anyway (I asked them to call me before anything happened) I got no call. Neither of them had put a notation in the computer like they said they would. And they refused to refund the$63.00 I'd paid on the layaway, or to even let the money go towards another purchase or layaway!!! This crazy woman just kept telling me the money was gone (waving her hand in the air like my money flew away or something)!!! I told her no it wasn't gone it was in that register!! There's more to this story but I'll stop here. You get what they're doing....stealing plain and simple. That commercial about their honesty is bull!!!
