Mountain Star Federal Credit Union Yandell Dr, El Paso

I asked a former credit union vice president about selecting a credit union because I was going to bank my funds in El Paso and wanted a membership based credit union instead of a bank. I was recommended 3 to consider, went to all of them and chose Mountain Star Federal Credit Union. It has been the best choice. The staff is friendly, personal, take your special needs into consideration, provide shared branching for my Austin based credit union and transfer of funds. from my pension. I know who the President, Vice President is, they provide their expertise and continue to expand services. A truly small town mom/pop experience where everyone know everyone. I will always use Mountain Star Federal Credit Union as my credit and banking institution. They are a 5 star credit union!!!

I had spoken to Jackie and she said she was going to email me so I can send her the documents needed. I never received the email. I decided to apply online, she then asked for my pay stubs the next day and didn’t hear from her anymore. I had to call & ask for the status. Never doing any business with them in the future.

The staff is very helpful and kind. I will always be grateful for their assistance. I do not forsee myself banking anywhere else. Also, love that this is a local bank.

Worst customer service ever!!! Applied for a loan. I was left a message to call back and speak to Jacqueline. I tried everyday for a week, and she was never available left 10 messages and nothing. Still waiting on that call.

Before choosing an El Paso Credit Union, I visited 4 credit unions personally. I spoke with the new account representatives, called a few people about credit unions and selected Mountain Star. It is a small but very efficient CU. Outstanding customer service, personable and a shared branch credit union which means they have the capacity to share branch with share branch networks throughout the nation and Texas. Very convenient if you have an account in El Paso and Austin or other cities. I love my credit union. Membership based is the way !!!

Ive been with Mountain Star for about 20, 25 years and in all those years each and every member has been there for me when I most needed them. " Thank you so very much from the bottom of my heart".

$1000 limit on withdrawals from my account for no given reason. I had more than that taken out multiple times and all of a sudden I can't access my money. On top of that the staff was rude. Never getting my business again.
