I’ve been banking with Mountain America for over eight years now and I’ve always been treated with care and respect. With that being said, I’ve probably had one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had since with MACU at this branch. Earlier this week a loan officer gentleman who helped me the other day was honestly horrible. I was sitting patiently to speak with someone and as I’m patiently waiting (hoping I meet with Kat🤞🏾) this younger gentleman with a beard approaches me and call me “old school”, but as he approaches, he doesn’t introduce himself or offer a handshake or even smile, he just simply asks, “how can I help”? He asked In a tone that made me seem like I was a burden and automatically I could tell he didn’t care. Long story short we’re in his cubicle and he still hasn’t told me who he is and is just rushing my situation as if it didn’t matter. This gentleman uses big words that I obviously have no idea what he’s talking about and doesn’t care to break things down in simple terms to help me. This was one of the worst experiences in regards to customer service I’ve ever had, I’ve had better customer service at McDonald’s compared to how I was treated this week by this guy. Don’t get me wrong this branch is awesome, I’ve never had a bad experience here and I’ve been coming to this specific branch for the past three years. Anyways, thank you to those that actually go the extra mile and care for us people who are just trying to survive in this crazy world we live in today. I’ll keep coming here to this branch, as long as I’m not put with that guy. Thank you 🤙🏾

It has been a few years since I met and started working with Cat Eldridge on ALL of my loans. She has never disappointed me in her efforts to help my family and I as we buy and refi our vehicles. I had a very negative experience with another loan officer a few months back on a simple refi, but because Cat had helped me prior I came back to her and she made it right. I have been a customer of MACU since 2008, and today, I will be closing all my accounts with them. My personal, retirement, insurances, and business accounts. I want to make it clear, this in not just a review of the local branches here in Southern Utah, this is a review for the entire customer service that I have been encountering as of recently. Yesterday (Oct. 15, 2021) I was going to use my Platinum Visa I have with MACU to pay for a vehicle repair and was declined even though my card is at a $0 balance, and I have more than enough credit limit on it. I called the 1-800 number on the back of the card and was placed on a 20 minute queue. The repair shop was closing soon, so I had to leave. After approximately 40 minutes of wait time, I opt to receive a call back; which I never received. I call first thing in the morning again. I got a hold of someone within 5 minutes. This individual was rude, and not helpful at all, she transferred me to the fraud department as she claimed she could not help me. The fraud department said they could not help me because the people at the 1-800 number on the card did not create a case for them to pull up and thus had me call again. Not transfer, call again and get on the call in queue yet again. The fraud department said they could not transfer from their department to another, but somehow customer service can? Makes no sense, but I called yet again. I get ahold of another customer service person after waiting on the call in queue yet again. She cannot help and simply took down my information to have some "Card Specialist" call me later. "So what now,?" I asked her, I need to pay for my vehicle repair and my card is not working. She says, "go into the local branch in your city to see if they can help you" she says. I go into my local branch... They pretty much have the same excuse. "We don't know what is going on with your card, it is the repair shop's fault your card is not working." So I go into the Repair shop and asked them to try and charge my card once more, it gets declined. So I had an idea, I will will use another card, from MACU, also a VISA, but at a much higher interest rate, about 2.5 times higher and guess what? It worked. I of course go back into the local branch and ask them to please explain why one of their cards works, yet the other does not. They have yet again, no answers for me. They have the audacity to ask me if I want to take advantage of a "Higher earning interest Savings" account as I have a large sum of money in my savings account. Are you kidding me? I am done with MACU you as of today. So, what can I believe now? that MACU doesn't want me to use my super low interest rate card on a costly repair? They want to make more money off of me with my doubled the interest Card, also a MACU card? That is what it looks like to me. This is not my first and only frustration with MACU, I have had numerous headaches cause of their lack of customer support that I have had to resort to other banking solutions, or lenders in the past for both my personal and business banking needs. I hope this review sheds some light on those looking for a their banking needs.

I have been banking with MACU for over 7 years and recently applied for an auto loan. Cat Eldridge was amazing to work with! We discussed everything over the phone (during the height of the pandemic). She was able to get all my paperwork together, I was able to send docs over that she needed and voila! I drove up and she handed me an envelope with all my paperwork and the checks for my loan. Seamless experience and I loved working with Cat, and I love banking at MACU.

I had several “needs” when I went into my local branch and Ms Eldredge met all of my requirements and also made some great suggestions of ways to improve my financial security goals. She was pleasant and wonderful to deal with as well.

I’ve had my account for just over a year and so far so good! Everyone has been extremely nice and helpful! Love my branch off of Sunset Blvd!

Used the ATM only which worked fine. Didn't go inside since I was able to do everything I needed from there. Three drive thru lanes are also available as well as full service inside. Been banking here for about 5 years, always great friendly service.

Horrible branch. Everyone was extremely rude. We were wanting to open up an account, they told us it would be a 15 minute wait , we waited an hour and 15 minutes and ended up leaving. Go elsewhere!!
