I found Mortgage Right of Sarasota on google. I read several very nice reviews, and decided to call. Kay was very helpful and started the process. Jon, Rachel and Cindy all worked very hard for us to be able to close on time. We love our new home. Jon also recommended a great real estate agent as well as a Homeowners Insurance agency. We could not be happier with such a wonderful group of people who work so well as a team. They are all very good at their professions and work very well as a team. While purchasing a condo in Florida, our experience resulted in many additional hoops and loops along the way that we were not expecting. The mortgage company was recommended by our realtor but communication was definitely not their strong suit. Our biggest surprise occurred one week before close. We were contacted by the mortgage company telling us that we need to come up with 30% down (versus 10%) in the week prior to close to make the deal work. There were one or two good people to work with in the firm but overall, I would not use them again.

I don't typically write reviews but Jon, Rachel, Candice and the whole team at MortgageRight are INCREDIBLE to say the least. I'm a young first time home buyer who was living in Boston, MA and trying to purchase a home in FL. I had a unique situation because I work in Tech as an independent contractor. Because of this I had already consulted 5 other companies trying to get a pre-approval for what my wife and I wanted. Every other mortgage company I had contacted would not even take me seriously because of my age, situation and the fact that I was buying sight unseen. In a desperate attempt to give it one last shot I googled "best Florida Mortgage brokers" and came across some reviews for Jon and his number. I'm so glad I did. The minute I called and spoke with him I had so much confidence he would be able to help us get our first home. We had to do a lot but his team (Rachel and Candice) walked me through everything and answered all of my phone calls and emails promptly (there was a lot). I ask more question than anyone else and they always had an answer. I can't recommend them enough and I can't wait to buy our second home with them sometime in the future. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Jon’s knowledge, expertise, and customer service is far superior than most loan officers. I close 2-3 new residential loans every year (for at least the past 9 years) and have been using Jon for 7 years now. Most loan officers just push paper. Jon analyzes the borrower’s financial situation and determines how and what is needed for the buyer to qualify - upfront. If an underwriter challenges the borrower’s financial situation, Jon goes to bat for you – taking the time to present your financial picture to the u/w to get you approved according to Fannie/Freddie guidelines. Most loan officers don’t even know Fannie/Freddie guidelines. Most loan officers will give you lip service that you ‘qualify’ only to be denied later by Underwriting – a big, fat waste of your time! I’ve never had a deal where Jon qualified me and then later I got denied. Jon is your door to opportunity and he and his team are friendly, fast, efficient, and helpful. Jon makes things happen and I wouldn’t consider using anyone else.

All was almost perfect! As I’m among the self employed and not a W-2 taxpayer, they were able to assemble my rather good financial information in such a way that the underwriters could not refuse approval of our requested loan. My rate/terms were market competitive. All closed as promised! I would highly recommend this team to all interested in first class service, great products at competitive rates and reliable delivery! I’m a real estate professional with 40 years of doing deals in the 3 states where I have brokers license & I have had “mucho” experience with the mortgage industry, so my vote for for MortgageRight of Sarasota should be very meaningful.
