After being denied our original Loan with Michigan First Credit Union (two weeks to our closing date) we were referred to Jared at Mortgage City by our Realtor Carlos Turner. Jared was immensely thorough, prompt and had a structured means of communication which all played an essential and crucial role to our being able to get the approval on the same home and we were still able to close within the original closing date!! They were fine enough to work with but we were forced to pay for two inspections because of oversight on the part of their contractor. They made little to no attempt to help on that front. Which was very frustrating. In the end, they helped us secure our home loan and were relatively competitive in terms of their fees to other agencies in the area. They were pretty knowledgeable but also seemed to be learning some things as we went through the process of covering the home insurance. They were very attentive to getting the deal done and timely in their correspondence. In the end, I subtract two stars for the inspection issue because they offered very little assistance there.

Alex was incredible! He worked diligently and aggressively to ensure the best possible mortgage terms for my first home purchase. There were several aspects I had extra questions about and Alex explained them in an easy to understand manner. He is always reachable. If I could give a 6-star rating, I would. Alex was absolutely incredible! We were closing on a new construction home down in Florida which meant a long time under contract and a million moving pieces. Without him, we would not have been able to close! Our seller, title company, and builders (DR Horton) get 0/5 stars, and dragged their feet whenever they could. Alex was a bulldog when need be to those on the other side of the table, while also proving he had our best interests at heart. He was always available over the phone, and not only took care of everything with the seller, but made time to teach me what he was doing when I asked, and ensure I was comfortable throughout the entire process. Again, we could not have closed without him. I would give him the highest recommendation to anybody and everybody that asks.

Great experience here with Morgage city! Genevieve Elkins was my loan officer for my refi and she stayed extremely hands on with me and my account, from start to finish! I am an extremely busy person so havng her there to remind me of what I need and when I need it was very helpful, and you can tell she cares about finding the best plan/rate for you! PLUS being so busy, having them coordinate the closing at my office was huge for me. I am repaying my mortgage in 15 years instead of 30... with almost the same payment!
