Monster Pawn R T Dunn Dr, Bloomington

Few years ago I brought in a high graded double eagle gold coin to this pawn shop that was handed down to me after my grandfather passed. For those that don’t know it’s right around an ounce of gold. I was offered $600 by a woman I had seen working there regularly. Being that the price of gold was somewhere around $1400 and the coin could simply be melted down for over double the offer, I knew I would be taken advantage of and declined. Right after that I brought it to **the other monster pawn** location in Normal, just out of curiosity, expecting another lowball offer and to my surprise I was offered $1200 with no questions asked. Steer clear of the monster pawn in Bloomington/Normal. It’s obvious they like to take advantage of their customers

I stopped on Monday looking for a special gift and the gentleman who works there was extremely courteous and helpful! Thanks to him I found the perfect gift. Exactly what I was looking for. Will definitely be back!!!

They always have been fair with me. Would recommend all day. Nice staff and place is nice to look at what's new. It's always got different stuff each time I use them. Popcorn is always fresh and I've even seen donuts in there as well. Best part it's free, keep up the good work guys. And I know I'll see you guys again in the future.

Monster Pawn has always ALWAYS treated me fairly and like a valued customer. They have always given me more than fair prices for pawned items. Very friendly and courteous staff. My son enjoys shopping there as well and has found some nice treasures. Say 'hi' to the dog!! I cannot recommend them enough and would not think of going to any other pawn shop.

This place was amazing! I had a wonderful experience and the staff are really helpful and made us feel welcome. They really helped us out, if it wasn't for them we would be without power. They gave us a fair deal on our Xbox. Thank you monster pawn stay awesome!

One of the best pawn shops I’ve ever visited! The young man there named Everson gave me a fantastic price on some scrap gold I had and also gave me a great deal on some things I purchased! Would recommend for sure and will definitely be back!!!

Originally took a few old gold items to a different shop in Bloomington and was told it was fake, followed by “it only tested out at 10k” and he offered me 396$. Not needing the money, I decided to see the folks at monster pawn and double check what I had been told. They acid tested the items in front of me and verified they were 14k and offered me $650 for one piece plus recommended a jeweler that is going to update the diamond and gold piece for my daughter. FANTASTIC PEOPLE AND BY FAR THE BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE!

Monster Pawn is awesome! A friend and I went into the Rt Dunn store and was looking for a couple different items and Cindy waited on us. She has exceptional customer service and is very knowledgeable about all the merchandise for sale!! Cindy is a very nice and pleasant person do deal with!! She’s friendly and always has a smile on her face so if anyone goes to the Rt Dunn store ask for Cindy and you will be very pleased with her service and mannerism!! I give her 10 stars alone for her politeness and customer service!!

Love going to Monster Pawn! The staff and customer service here is like being part of a welcoming family when walking in the doors. The deals they have here on DVD's are amazing and other items are outstanding almost all the time! There isn't another pawn shop around here that treats you the way they do. Keep up the great work Monster Pawn Staff!! If anyone ever sees Cindy in there she is amazing and knows what she is doing and outstanding at what she does!

One of my favorite pawn shops in the Midwest. Staff is very friendly. Jim is always super helpful at helping me find great gifts when I'm not very knowledgeable about the thing I'm looking for. e.g.- my son is really into to these video games any ideas of other games he might like?
