Mike's Pawn Shop Cleveland Ave, Columbus

This review I am sorry to say has been long over due. I have been a customer of Mike's years now. I have been able to find really good deals on misc items and tools when in need and time is of the essence. I purchased a mig welder from Mike about 15 years and I still use it on a regular basis. The staff has always been fair and honest as well as knowledgeable about the items they have for sale. I have never used the pawn service side of the business but I have been present while many customers have. In my opinion the offers have been fair and customers have always seemed happy with their transactions. In short, I would definitely recommend Mike's for either your shopping or pawn needs!

When you walk into Mike's you're treated like a friend. Your situation is understood and the need, is met. This is my first experience and I'm not going to lie, I was scared to death to trust someone with my valuables and upset that I was in the situation to need to consider pawning my items. I explained to Mike what I needed and that these items were very very precious to me and I'd be sure to always pay and he'd never have to worry. He listened and gave me what I asked for, for my gold. The paperwork and process took mere minutes and before I knew it I was out the door and headed to pay the rest of my rent. Every time I came in to make my payment on my loan I was treated with kindness, courtesy and gratitude for making my payment. Mike and his son always go above and beyond and operate with integrity. I'll shout their praises for keeping my gold safe for 1.5 years. If ever myself and anyone I know needs a place to store their gold, I'll always recommend Mike's Pawn. Thanks guys!! <3

Mike's Pawn Shop has always been the GO TO place if your looking for a loan, or to buy guns, jewelry or tools, they also have a great selection of guitars and other items that you just can't seem to find anywhere, Mike is very knowledgeable and absolutely fair on everything ive ever pawned, He even gave me an extension on my loan payment so I didn't lose my pawn and when i got my jewelry back he even cleaned it for me for free without me asking! Im sure he cant do that everytime for everybody but it just goes to show how genuine Mike is and he didn't have to go out of his way..Thanks Mike , I'll definitely be back!!!

Best paying pawnshop in town. Owner is a stand up guy who will work with you and actually shows humility unlike some other pawnshops in Columbus. I always use Mike's when I'm in a pinch and wouldn't take my business anywhere else!

I love working with these guys for firearm transfers/FFL stuff. They have the paperwork ready to go on their laptops. Simple and easy FFL transfer that is 100% legal and efficient. They also have a surprisingly good collection for cowboy action and even some old rubber training rifles. Good find for a gunsmith or hobbyist wanting to restore an old shooter to its glory days.

Honestly and caring is what these guys offer and I had been to lots of pawn shops mostly living in Vegas for two years I have dealt with pawn shop but coming to Ohio and being here for few months I’m a marine I can’t tell you any more words about mike pawn shop. When you walk in you will meet two big guys who will show you 3 words TLC tender love and care for whatever help you need if you are buying or selling or need a loan like me they always give the best price I promise on that cause I have done my research. I absolutely love doing business at mikes, he gives me more than any other shop for a ring I pawn in emergencies and I have had a gun in layaway for almost a year! They work with you on payments and are very fair! This will be the only pawn shop in Columbus I visit and it’s 30 minutes from my house! The staff is so friendly and they always have something new for me to look at! They sell good quality items only and always greet with a smile! I recommend mikes always!

I have patronaged this shop for more than 15 years. I have always had a great time, and experience with the owner and staff. I feel like they add positivity to the community by being honest and fair in how they deal with the public, at least that has been my experience throughout the years.

I would never recommend this location to anyone they are total swindlers. Every time I’ve gone into this location I get a story about why my product is inferior and why they can’t sell it. They rip off artists and a bunch of “know it all’s” that don’t know anything. Newsflash this is in the history channel and this is not pawn stars your couple rednecks live in Columbus Ohio. I purchased a compact drill and some other items two weeks ago From their location which I felt I over paid for. Today I go in with same items and they give me a story on why they can’t buy them and why they won’t sell. I leave with my Items and go about a half mile down the road to another pawnshop where they are absolutely happy to buy them Unbelievable. You would think for a smaller company, they would want to maintain customer satisfaction. I won’t be back and I recommend anyone who is in need of a pawnshop go anywhere but here.
