Mid-American Title Ashmun St, Sault Ste. Marie

Very slow and non-customer oriented. The receptionist was bothered by both calls, it took them almost 2 months to do their title work, to the point that she was condescending when she spoke to me. I can't really blame her since it didn't seem that anyone there was willing to do their job affectively or efficiently. I called my Realtor to suggest we go with another title company and was told that they would have the final papers put in the mail the following morning and we could set up a closing of that Friday. Since I doubted that they would be able to pull it off by Friday I agreed to the following Wednesday. On Monday I received a call to wait on coming up to the closing. They had not gotten the paperwork sent out when they had said they would. In fact, it went out the day I was called to wait to come up. I had finally had enough of the "It should be soon" and the "there are only 2 title companies in Sault Ste. Marie" responses and I asked for my deposit back. I was told my check would be in the mail the next day. That didn't happen either. I would not recommend them to anyone for any title work. As a matter of fact, I would look closely at any 5 stars they may have received. Good luck to you if you use them. Update: When I received my check they had my name spelled 2 different ways on the same check. I wonder if any of the paperwork they would have done would have been correct. I will never know since I would never use them again.

The Office is beautiful. The employees are very professional, and so helpful. I would recommend Mid-American Title to anyone.

Avoid at all costs. Closed on property with out verify all funds Months to get paper work, only to end up misplaced.
