Michigan First Credit Union (Inside Kroger) Fort St, Southgate

This Michigan First branch has delivered the best, most responsive customer service that I can recall in any banking experience... PERIOD! Amanda, you are the BEST!

When I first signed up for an account no one told me that I had to keep 100 dollars in my account EVERYDAY or they was going to charge me at the end of the month. No one also told me that if I don't use a co op ATM that they would charge me a fee on top of the ATM charging me a fee. I'm very upset about the miscommunication between me and the representatives. The one I just called was very nice. Overall the credit union is ok when the rules are not being switched around EVERY time I call concerning my account.

I can't begin to express my heartfelt thanks to both Desi and Candance of the Woodward Branch. As a retired executive from a major credit card brand sometimes life deal you some situations that are beyond your control. Well I had one of those situations that had me feeling defeated. As a last ditch effort I went into MFCU my first encounter was with Candance who listened intently to my scenario with compassion and concern. She conveyed my dire situation to her manager Desi. Candance had me to return the following day to meet and discuss my situation with Desi. I was not just a consumer or member to them but more like a family member of MFCU. It literally brought me to tears to see that they understood and could truly empathize on what I was going through. Desi and Candance took care of me got me what I needed a peace of mind. MFCU you have two exemplary employees that are truly irreplaceable in my eyes. If I was still employed and had encountered them under these same circumstances you would have definitely been less two employees because I would have offered them both a employment package they could not have resisted because of there willingness to go above and beyond their job description to assist their customers which is a rarity in banking these days. I have two words for both Desi and Candance "Standing Ovation"

They are located in a kroger. You can't see them from a moving vehicle. However they give great service everytime I come. They go above and beyond

Terrible. I have gone in twice to get my last name changed due to marriage and both times they could not do it for a reason. I had all documentation and still would not change my name. I tried to deposit a $35 check and was told they could not deposit as I signed it with my legal marriage name. They said sign it with your account name and we will deposit it. Why would I falsify a check and the fact that you wanted me to do that speaks volumes for your terrible business. Needless to say, we are in the process of switching credit unions.

The credit union is inside the Kroger store it is very clean in this location and they have good service inside the credit union

I have been with Michigan first for years now I used to love this credit union unfortunately recently the wait time has been ridiculous I've been waiting for 3.5 hours today already I'm seriously going to look for a different credit union
