Horrible service , drive through is your best bet. Tellers ask way to many questions and are rude. Been banking there for years and I don’t know why! Trying to get a loan add on and the phone system is a disaster, unless you like waiting for 30 min listening to the jingle music !!! Where are all the good people??? Really tired of banking there 2022 is going to be a bank move for me and my business!!!

    Response from the owner

Their customer service is fine. The problem is that when I make mobile payroll deposits, often times they are rejected without so much as a reason why or even an alert to let me know the deposit wasn't accepted. The only way of finding out that my check was rejected is by logging in to the mobile app. This is a highly dishonest way of doing business! This has happened many times and I'm super frustrated with this institution. I will be looking for a new credit union!

    Response from the owner

Hello Nadim, We sincerely apologize for the frustration and inconvenience, and we’re very sorry to have disappointed you. Would you be willing to send us your contact information at [email protected] so we can get in touch to resolve this issue? Ordinarily, we send a follow-up email whenever a mobile check deposit is made, including an explanation of the likely cause when a deposit attempt is unsuccessful. Since you have not been receiving these messages, we would like to make sure your email address is correctly entered in our notification system and take further steps to troubleshoot the issue if needed. We understand how frustrating this must be, and we apologize once again. We value your membership, and we hope you will allow us the opportunity to make things right for you. Thank you, MCCU

Staff phenomenal, great, and friendly. I will not be returning or should I recommend anyone do so i recently closed a loan with them but they overdrew one more time on my bike loan even though it was canceled. Apparently I couldn't unlink my bank fast enough before they got there hands on the money so I need to wait to close all accounts until it returns my money for withdrawal. So a nice surprise was seeing that the 5 measly dollars in the savings account to keep it open was withdrawn becasue of low funds so it was a fee. Thanks for the heads up teller... give me the money back for the bike...

This place used to be great but it is a joke now, try not to come here often because of the long waits. Ive currently been waiting 25 minutes to make a cash deposit with 1 person ahead of me. Don't waste your time and go somewhere else that appreciates your time.

    Response from the owner

Hi Adam, We’re so sorry to hear you’ve been unhappy with our wait times at the North Branch location recently. Like many other local businesses, we’ve been working to adapt to new staffing challenges in the current labor market. Please know that we are in the process of recruiting and onboarding many new employees to ensure we can continue to offer the great, personal service you’ve come to expect from us. Your membership is important to us, and we hope you’ll give us the opportunity to continue serving you. We truly appreciate your patience during this unusual time. Sincerely, Members Cooperative Credit Union

I've been with this bank for my whole life and they are compatible with other with good friendly staff. However, they always seem to be behind in technology with online and ATM services up to date with options financial service. I gave the 1 star because the recent changes of name, website, and contact number been continues not working since Friday and they seem to careless about communication with their customers as we unable to do any online financial business...sad that the bank should have prepare better as I can't even contact them to ask about the interrupted service!

Don’t send mail to listed address. It will be returned to sender. Check their website for mailing instructions. I learned this the hard way and the was staff rude and condescending—unable to even acknowledge how this might be problematic. All that and when I refinanced with them my monthly payment changed at closing from the estimate given 3 days prior. They were also entirely unapologetic about this—though it was ridiculous and I think illegal. I will be closing my accounts soon.

My husband is currently deployed and when I tell you dealing with the card issues alone is enough to make you want to barf. I'm done. I'm over it. I am a joint holder on the account and his card has been hit for fraud during this deployment more times than I can count. When I try to get it resolved they tell me I can't because I'm not the card holder. Well I'm sorry he can't answer the phone because he is in a 3rd world country right now. He even has a travel request on his account and that still didn't work. The card still wouldn't allow him to use it which means he has no access to money while he is there. I can't get them to work with me. It has been like this for months. Not military friendly. Edit! since it won't let me reply to the owner. He has limited internet access. It's spotty at best. Again there are many barriers and you are not helping. I was just trying to ensure his card worked..

    Response from the owner

Hi Kama, We truly are sorry for the issues your husband has experienced while on deployment. We’d be happy to help get this fixed if he can message us through his online banking. Even if a cardholder can’t be reached via phone, we’re still able to help get issues resolved and in this case messaging via online banking is probably the best option. Regarding joint accounts, debit cards are issued to a single person, so even if an account(s) is joint we only speak to the cardholder as a security measure for our members. Again, we’re sorry for the inconvenience with his card, and once we hear from him we’ll be happy to get this resolved. Thank you for your feedback and your understanding. MCCU

Long wait times and to much confusion with the drive through. Most locations run one line that spits at the windows try that here and get cut off. Either go in and wait or play roulette with the drive through. Look for a different credit union there are better options around

    Response from the owner

Hi Samantha, We appreciate your feedback, as we are always looking for ways to improve our member experience. We will take a look at the North Branch drive-through to consider other ways of directing traffic there. Due to different building designs, this can be more challenging at some locations than others. Thank you again for this feedback to help us improve. Thank you, MCCU

Made my last visit there after 10 years, I no longer care to go back. I found it frustrating to receive holds on payroll checks and constantly had problems with depositing checks through their mobile deposit app. When I voiced my concerns and stated they seemed to be far more frustrating than accounts I had at other financial institutions, I was told it was to "protect their customers". I found their "safety measures" to be very inconvenient personally. I miss Lake State, and it was time for this disappointed member to find a financial institution that worked better with their customers.

    Response from the owner

Hello Katie, We're very sorry to hear we've disappointed you. We work very hard to serve our members and are committed to doing so. Would you be willing to relay your concerns and/or share your contact information? I'm certain a member of our management team would appreciate the opportunity to talk with you. If interested, please email your contact information to [email protected] and the best number to reach you at. Thank you, MCCU

Lake State Credit Union was great. If I ever had a question I could call them directly and talk with someone, or send an email and hear back the same day. The staff was always friendly and helpful and the service was very personal. The merger with Members Cooperative however has been a train wreck! They do not have very good account security, which is why I left. The day of the merger I was traveling on business and my debit cards quit working, thankfully I had credit cards to fall back on or I would have been stranded. It took them 3 days to determine that my cards were not associated with any accounts. Then I signed into my online banking and saw financial information that was not mine, I called and they fixed that as well (I wonder who was looking at MY financials). We decided to close our accounts and move banks. We had to leave one account open as we were not immediately able to change an automatic payment coming out of it. We made night deposit to cover the payment and later found out that they deposited our money in someone elses account!!! Causing us to become overdrawn. Come to find out, not all customers have unique account numbers, some are shared. STAY FAR FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!!
