Maxx Gun and Pawn LLC Lake Ave, Danbury

I wish I had the time to visit this shop more, the owner is calm and polite even to a young guy like me (which is rare at the shops I've been in!). Always has a solid collection of new and used handguns and rifles. His selection of collectible firearms always changes and you can find some great gems in his cases.

My Dad is the owner and he runs an absolutely tremendous store. You will be hard-pressed to find someone who is as knowledgeable as him about such a wide variety of valuables to include firearms, pianos, motorcycles, gold, and works of art. Additionally, he is as honest as the day is long, and he treats everyone fairly and equally. Whether you're buying a $500,000 firearm or pawning a $150 ring, you will do well by going to Maxx Gun and Pawn.

A little over a year ago I walked into Maxx Gun and Pawn looking for a specific gun. The store was small but extremely clean and professional with an interesting selection of handguns, long guns and gorgeous pianos. I met Emile and we formed an immediate friendship. Here was a gun shop without the attitude or feeling of being scrutinized by the group of "Regulars" usually associated with one. Emile will listen to your concerns and help you find the right answers using his wealth of accumulated knowledge. If he doesn't have the exact weapon you want, he will try to get it for you rather than insisting on what he has in stock. I try to stop by at least once a month to see what new items are in stock and to say "Hi" to Maxx the Bulldog, the shop mascot and Emile's right paw. You should stop by too.

Was looking everywhere for a S&W Govenor. Stopped in and saw he had what I was looking for at a great price. Bought it that day went home with it that day. I have also been in the market for the S&W Bone Collector. I thought there was no chance left to get one and yet again he saved the day!

I stopped by this shop last week looking to purchase a firearm. The owner was great in helping me find what I was looking for, took the time to listen to and understand what I wanted, and then showed me my best options. Prices were great and it truly was "service with a smile". I felt extremely welcome there. I will definitely be a returning customer, without a doubt.

Just purchased a beautiful S&W 686 from Maxx's. Emile is a very knowledgable and genuine guy. The great thing about this shop is that you're talking to the owner, not a sales guy on "the floor". I've been to a number of FFL's in CT and finding someone to talk to without feeling rushed or intimidated because you're new to firearms is a rare thing. I would highly recommend dropping by.

We have worked with Emile for a number of years. He is honest and fair, and will help you with what you need. He has art, pianos, and other collectables. If he doesn't have it, he will put you in the right direction.
