We picked Matt after shopping around for multiple lenders. He came up with the best overall package for our situation. He was very helpful in talking through the various options we had and always took the time to explain the various pros and cons of each option. He was responsive to our questions and was patient as we adjusted our strategy throughout the process. We would certainly recommend him. Matt was such a great lender to work with during my first home buying adventure in 2021-22. I briefly worked with another lender before Matt but the numbers they gave me when I asked for estimates were always opaque and the service wasn't especially friendly. He responded to emails and texts quickly and would occasionally check in with me by phone. When he gave me payment estimates, he used a tool that gave me a very detailed breakdown of each factor. When my offer was accepted, the mortgage rates had started to move back up and he kept in close contact with me about when to lock in my rate. In the end, he got me the best possible rate at the time and I couldn't have been happier. A friend of mine also used Matt for her home purchase and has nothing but glowing things to share.
