Mattamy Homes - Raleigh Division Office Regency Pkwy, Cary

1/21/18: Have more too add since we've run into more problems. The driveway was never put in correctly. The concrete eroded away before we moved in in one spot but they put a patch in that they said would fix it. Well the patch failed and the driveway is now cracking and sinking. We reached out to Royal Oaks to ask them to fix what never was fixed and they said yes it's a problem but they will not fix it. That's all you need to know about Royal Oaks and the people who work there. If you're going to work with them watch them like hawks. We dealt with problems all along the way including not getting a promised sound system that we let slide because we didn't want to delay the construction and closing any further. It ended up taking 7 months to build rather than the promised 4-5 months. They have a problem sticking to what's agreed to in the plans. I'd suggest a weekly walk though while it's being built to make sure you get what's promised. They tried to hold out on a promised sink and they installed porch columns that were not the style agreed to in the plans. We let that slide too because again we didn't want to delay the closing. The final straw was an HVAC system that has not worked correctly since we moved in. We attempted to get it resolved at the one year anniversary to no avail. When we did get it fixed on our own we asked the builder for reimbursement but they denied our request saying we should've let them look at it first. I've spoken with several other homeowners in the neighborhood who also dealt with similar problems with HVAC units.

Royal Oaks was amazing through our home building process. We have been in our home for a year and until this day, they are easily accessible to answer any questions or concerns. Most importantly, they don't treat potential homeowners as another commission. What makes Royal Oaks a great community is people such as Tina King who make you feel like family. She and the team have our best interest in mind and that is a great feeling!

We closed on our new home in October and we love it! It was an absolute pleasure working with Michelle Cencelewski. She really went above and beyond to answer every question we had along the way, and over 3 months later and she is still helping! The entire Royal Oaks team has been super helpful and friendly. Our construction manager, Jay did a wonderful job and we were able to close on time! So far we have only had minor issues, but they have all been addressed in a timely manor. The Warranty department is great, and their contractors work hard to fix any issues. Thanks for making our first home buying experience a good one. : )

The whole Royal Oaks team has been absolutely fantastic to work with. We saw them going the extra mile from the beginning and that never changed, all the way to the end. We brag about them to anyone who will listen. We are very demanding customers, yet all of the staff have been consistently friendly, professional, and willing to do everything possible and reasonable to ensure our satisfaction with the results. We have friends who bought in Gray's Creek on our recommendation - they are similarly thrilled. We are exceedingly proud to own a Royal Oaks home!

So where to begin? We started our home search and found a neighborhood in Knightdale. This subdivision had two builders. We looked at the building process and quality of work and decided that Royal Oaks was the superior builder with quality and detail to work. We looked at the Royal Oaks website and we found our perfect home in one of their subdivisions in Clayton. We had the perfect sales consultant. Her name was Michelle Odom. Michelle reminded us of a classic example of a Southern Belle. Her southern charm and details she remembered in finding our home was outstanding. I honestly believe that she is one of the biggest assets of Royal Oaks homes. We have lived in a Royal Oaks Home since December and have had a wonderful experience whenever we have had to deal with Royal Oaks for any warranty issue. We have not had many issues, just small ones that occur from any construction. Royal Oaks has been with us all the way and we are very proud to live in a home built by royal oaks.

We had a wonderful experience with Royal Oaks homes! Great base packages and they don't nickel and dime you with add-ons and extras. Teresa and Kyle were extremely great to work with and let us in to see the progress on the house whenever we wanted. The team was extremely detailed and thorough, ensuring that our final walk through was seamless. I highly recommend Royal Oaks!

My husband and I purchased a Royal Oaks home last year in Atkins Village. It was a pleasant experience from start to finish. Our onsite agent, Jonathan, was extremely helpful as well as our project manager, Rick. We couldn't be happier and we highly recommend Royal Oaks!

My wife and I recently bought a home with Royal Oaks, we had an excellent experience! John Cush was friendly, responsive and it was his attitude that made us choose Royal Oaks over two other builders and we are glad we did! He is always there to answer all the questions via text, emails and phone calls! We had Dallas Poulk as our project manager as well as Mike for a little bit. Both really nice and they worked with a " consider it done" attitude to anything. We mostly worked with Dallas and he is friendly, caring and works with a sense of urgency! Also, Shannon at design center is awesome, she is always there to help you on what you need and stays late just to accomodate our needs!

I can't say enough about this builder and their staff, particularly Brooke Carroll and Michelle Blackman-Odom. You can tell a lot about a business by the quality of staff they employ and Royal Oaks knocked it out of the park with these two. It is obvious from the beginning that Brooke and Michelle want to make your home, as well as the community you chose, a 100% perfect fit and are willing to go the extra mile over and over again. I would buy from Royal Oaks again based solely off these two people. As far as the products go, Royal Oaks has numerous amazing choices to fit any price point. They have communities that range from modest to luxury, and everything in between. Their selection of interior modifications is growing rapidly and the staff is willing to sit with you to make sure that you are satisfied with your choices. Overall, the home building process could be a very stressful ordeal, but Royal Oaks, with their exemplary staff and customer service makes the process enjoyable and for this, they will be my first choice in future home buying!

Building my new home with Royal Oaks homes has been a great experience! Michelle Cencelewski from the sales team was phenomenal! Her bubbly personality helped to guide what could have been a very stressful situation into a pleasant and fun journey! She would frequently send emails with photos of my home through the different construction phases! It was so exciting to see the progress! Even after closing on my home two months ago, she's still available and answering my questions! Our project manager Preston was very professional and patient when answering my questions! He too has remained available even after closing on my home! There have been tiny bumps that have needed addressing after moving in but the warranty department has remained attentive. After looking at so many other new home communities and builders, I am really glad I choose Royal Oaks!

This was our first time building a house, and boy were we lucky that Royal Oaks was here in Raleigh! First, the location - they pick some great locations to build! Second, the design - their homes were the best - functional and elegant - we looked at a ton of homes and builders, and overall, Royal Oaks homes were the best. Finally, the people - the most important part of any organization. At Stonehenge Manor we encountered some of the best! Stacy was the first person we met, and she has more patience than anyone I've worked with. She always met us with a smile and worked to get our questions answered or problems fixed. Shannon at the design center gave us great advice and recommendations, and also worked to make any changes that we wanted a reality. Joe is Project Manager out here and Royal Oaks is lucky to have him. He's friendly, professional, knowledgeable and he never once made us feel like we were intruding on his work. He made us feel like we were the primary reason he was there (even with 8 other houses going in the background). I have heard the horror stories about building a house, and I can honestly say that this was one of the best experiences of our lives! This company felt as close to a custom builder as I think you could ask for. We couldn't be happier in our new house, and it really comes down to the fact that this long, sometimes stressful experience was made enjoyable by all of the people at Royal Oaks! Thank you!

My wife and I had a great experience with Royal Oaks. We were honestly only slightly interested in building a home, but when we met Michael Whelan at the Greys Creek sales office and saw a glimpse of how royal oaks and it's staff operate, we became VERY interested. Michael met us on a personal level and we became comfortable with the process very quickly. Next thing you know we had a deposit in. From there the staff made the process simple yet detailed. Sean Wilson lead our build and was immediately relatable and personable as we went through lot detail, selections, build and inspections. I can see why Royal Oaks has the reputation it does and I have recommended that friends and family take a look.

Our building experience with Royal Oaks has been great. Teresa in sales and David the project manager were easy in which to work. We didn't live in the area and they were very accommodating in meshing with our travel schedule for milestone meetings. Our house looks great.

Royal Oaks Homes was amazing to work with when we built our new home! Michelle Odom made relocating from Massachusetts and building a new home while living almost 700 miles away a smooth process for us! She took photos of our new home during the construction process so we could see regular progress and if we had questions she got us answers right away. What could have been an extremely stressful project was easy as can be thanks to Michelle and the rest of the Royal Oaks team!

For buying our very first home in Bristol at cobblestone Leslie and carol at the model home were absolutely amazing and so helpful through the whole process ( and my wife is jealous of Preston the general contractors hair)They kept us updated with pictures and emails the whole time during the building process . The whole building experience was everything we could dream of and our home is absolutely beautiful. Thanks for everything royal oaks has done for our family . Royal Oaks has been nothing but a 5 star experience! Nancy has been amazing from the first moment I walked through their doors! She made me feel so comfortable and like I had known her all my life!
