    Easiest car purchase I’ve ever had. Working with Josh was awesome. Handled everything over text and had all the paperwork ready to go when we arrived. No pushing extra packages or trying to sneak in a market adjustment on a hard to find vehicle. Very highly recommended! We’ll be back!

    Between my first transaction with this dealership and my second it was a night and day difference. First purchase went smoothly a few years ago. Second purchase ended with Toyota saying they never received any paperwork for the transaction. After a months long correspondence I thought this was over now Toyota is saying they never received verification they were added to the title. The cherry on top was calling in to service to schedule a repair being told to hold them getting hung up on. Not sure what changed but definitely do miss the old staff.

    My vehicle was in for an oil change and multiple services were recommended based on the high mileage of my truck. I opted to not have all of them done but was given a list of recommendations and estimates for each service. All in all I am very happy with Matick Toyota.

    Not worth the extra money to service your vehicle here. Purchased a vehicle at this Matick Toyota and used them for all services since I purchased it 5 years ago. I paid the extra price because I assumed they would do better work on their own vehicles. Brakes started making noise and I brought the vehicle in within 2 days and was told I needed front and rear pads and rotators replaced ($1000+). I’ve called about 5 different mechanics nearby and the highest estimate I received was $800. Apparently they don’t do a multipoint inspection when you get your vehicle serviced, even oil changes. I had this vehicle serviced two times recently and at no point did they mention anything about needing brakes replaced soon. Whereas a cheap shop down the road will give you a laundry list of items due soon.

    Worked with Josh Mertens here, they went above and beyond to basically customize my vehicle and provide it to me during a time stock was very low. They even helped me structure my loan in a way that allowed me to meet religious needs at an amazing rate. Definitely recommend this place.

    ** Update , It takes less than 15 minutes to undo the sensor and plus a new one in. I just did it. They also violated the MOTOR VEHICLE SERVICE AND REPAIR ACT 300 of 1974 by not providing a hourly labor estimate, repair estimate, or break down. sec 257.1302 & 257.1307. *** Back up sensor started beeping most of the time when backing up at about 4000 miles. I was told it was cracked and I must have hit something. You can't see any damage on the device or bumper and I didn't hit anything. I was told in can only be seen underneath. The cost $534 . I said forget it and just deal with the noise. Three months later I learn that it only continually beeps when it's above 32 degrees and most of the time when warmer, but not always. I went in for my oil change and asked if they could look into the device again because I questioned it was defective or damaged. I was told the service manager would call me to discuss. I followed up since they did not call me. I was told they were short handed and they would get to it the next day, no problem. Got a call back about to two hours later and was told it was all taken care of, the cost is $534. I asked about the call from the manager and they had no answer, but said I could talk to him when I came to pick it up. I was to annoyed to talk to him and get the run around I assumed was coming. I had already called twice and attached a letter explaining my concerns. The factory part retail is $134 although you can find off brands for $30. The labor to unplug and replace they charged was $300. That works out to at least $150 per hour based on the time between my phone calls today. I should have done my research instead of trusting the dealership. Toyota service I don't see it. The truck had less than 5000 miles when the issue first came up. The fees they charged , outrageous, the follow up/follow through, non existent. Awful customer experience and I would not recommend this company to anyone.

We gladly provided the broken part to you at the time you picked up the vehicle, showing the sensor was broken in several spots and there was damage to the bumper. Unfortunately physical damage is not covered under the warranty, and we know that can be frustrating, but we have to enforce Toyota's rules as they establish them. We provided the receipt as well. We're sorry that we couldn't help you more.

    Josh Mertens was my salesman and he did a fantastic job! My son was helping me find the right car for me and we found it at Matick Toyota. From beginning till the goodbye I felt comfortable with Josh handling the sale. He was easy to talk to, made conversation with my son while we waited for info to be processed.     I hardly ever review a business but I have to with Matick. I've heard my whole life that taking a car to the dealership is going to end up costing way more than going to a non dealership service center but this simply hasn't been the case with Matick. I always take my Carolla to them because they are easy to book with, extremely professional, have a nice waiting area where I can work, and are always fair, honest and cost effective! It's always ended up costing less than expected and most recently I brought my car in for a leaking tire and rather than try and upsell me on new tires that I didn't need they found the issue, fixed it, and didn't even charge me for it! Excellent customer service and I will be sticking with them for all my service needs. Thanks guys and gals!

    I thought purchasing a new vehicle was going to be a difficult task. I couldn't have been more wrong. We knew the car we wanted, and Pete was more than kind enough to let us take a test drive as well as make sure we were getting the best financing options available. From the initial contact to the departure in a new car, the service was pretty fantastic. They REALLY helped us out in an extremely tight spot and covered the cost of a new registration and license plate so we wouldn't have to wait for the car we wanted (and have someone else possibly buy it.) I had been very picky about the itemized costs initially. They were very patient with me and I can't thank you enough Pete for being so generous when it came down to this. We had been back and forth all day getting financing and shopping so that was extremely nice and something unparalleled in customer service today. Thanks again to Pete and everyone at Matick. Buying a car is easy again!

    I worked with Mike Reiss and had a great experience. He helped me determine the best vehicle for my needs and it was wonderful that he could work with me on both new and used cars. I will recommend him to my friends and family. This is my very first Toyota and I am looking forward to dealing with Matick in the future. Update 11/2021 - I have been using them for oil changes and I also had a few issues with my car that turned out to be nothing. Every time I've gone in they have been nice, helpful and made the entire experience very easy and pleasant. Because of the great customer service, I can't imagine going anywhere else.

    2:07 PM (2 hours ago) Here is a letter I sent to the General Manager about my recent buying experience at Matick Toyota Dear Sir: I am writing to share my recent very positive experience dealing with your store. Last Friday I took delivery on a 2021 Toyota Tacoma, and every aspect of dealing with your team was a pleasure. I have bought many many vehicles since obtaining my driver's license, and I have to say working with your dealership is among the best. In fact, this is only the second time I have ever felt moved to write a letter. Mackenzie Romero responded almost immediately since I expressed an interest online, and was incredibly responsive to my endless questions about vehicle and financing choices, even after normal working hours (this despite working remotely with children at home---she is truly committed to customer service). Once I had settled on my vehicle and finance choices, John Duritza took the handoff to handle the delivery logistics. Again, he was incredibly responsive to my questions about the vehicle once it arrived and as it went through your inspection process. The paperwork process was handled professionally and efficiently by Alana Zohr----I loved the technology you employ, as it was very easy to make corrections and an edit to the terms of the deal (I wanted to pay the registration fees up front instead of rolling it into the lease). Last year when I purchased a vehicle from a different manufacturer, the entire process was spoiled by the heavy handedness of a finance guy who kept trying to sell me protection plans I had politely declined at the outset. Alana respected my preference to forgo additional protection, as we did not want to prolong our time inside due to our vulnerability to Covid-19. Finally, we very much appreciated the precautions you are taking with respect to the pandemic at your store and among your staff. As a first time Toyota customer, I am very happy with my shopping experience--from my first inquiry Monday morning to delivery on Friday morning. I will most definitely be telling others about Matick, and if the truck performs as advertised, I expect to be back in about 3 years to get a new Tacoma.

    I had the interesting experience of leasing during the pandemic. Matick Toyota in my mind, went above and beyond to work with me when even while the dealership was ordered shutdown. I was in contact with Josh in sales, he kept me well informed on their status and answered all of my questions, no pressure. I highly recommend working with Josh M. When the dealership was allowed to open, the process of my lease felt seamless. Matt with finance was super helpful to my questions regarding the paperwork and my trade-in.     I purchased a vehicle with my fiancée a little over a year ago. I feel awful for my fiancée who dealt with sexism here. When she initially made an offer on her Toyota, the salesman who she worked with told her they don’t negotiate or discount their vehicles. When I messaged in online, the lady salesman accepted the same offer that the male salesman denied my fiancée. They did honor the price, but it was disrespectful how she was treated. The salesman also directed questions towards me and my fiancée didn’t feel acknowledged for a vehicle she was buying for herself. I may have been joint on the loan and a signer for the car, but it was her vehicle. We just won’t be back to this dealership in the future. Which is unfortunate because in the next year or two, I’m buying a Tacoma TRD Off-Road.

    DO NOT TRUST THEM!! I took my car In because it was overheating. I came back 3 hours later, and they quoted me to fix the car was $820 so, I asked the mechanic if I could look at the car and for him to show me what needed to be replaced his exact words, “ I’m 80% positive this is the problem” I then asked if I came back and it was still overheating what would happen he told me well, I guess we will look at the next problem. I also paid $105 for them to diagnose the problem and he couldn’t give me a 100% answer. I decided to have my local mechanic fix the problem and the car still continued to overheat. They were also going to charge me almost $400 labor just for a job that took less than an hour for my mechanic to get it fixed. I then called Andy (the manager) he was very rude and basically laughed at what I said and offered to take a look again by the same mechanic (saying I’m wrong) I called other Toyota’s and they said that’s unacceptable and they should be giving you a 100% answer that’s what you pay for. Also, before I left the parking lot I opened my hood to find coolant all over my engine, and under the hood, they never cleaned any of this. I’m very disappointed and I won’t be coming back. Thankfully, I found a trustworthy mechanic near my house. I won’t trust their mechanics again especially when they were all sitting down on the chairs chatting when I was waiting for my car to be cleaned up and pulled up to the front. :((( hopefully this place can get it together!

    Reagina, we take feedback from our guests, and our level of guest service, very seriously. Because your vehicle had a scrapped title, we did our very best to piece together what had already been replaced versus what needed to be done. We recommended the cooling fan ECU and spent more than an hour trying to diagnose why it was overheating. Because of the amount of damage done to the vehicle, we couldn't guarantee that the ECU was the entire problem. We did offer you to come back in so we could further test and see what was replaced but you declined. We stand by our diagnosis and are still glad to look at what other service people did and confirm the correct part was replaced. Please reach out to our Manager, Andy Charrette, should you want to pursue this further.

    First lease I’ve ever had and I wanted out, with 2 months left, Matick Toyota showed me the used vehicle I wanted, the next day I left my lease with them and left happy with my Jeep!! Hal was amazing, made this so easy, I’m still in shock lol. I thought this process was to easy, but it happened! I highly recommend this dealership, pricing was best on multiple sites I looked at.     Horrible for used cars. Bought a car they didn’t even bother to check the inside of the car. Had mud on the back seats. Told me to come back the next day because they were closing and the mud wouldn’t come out. Had to pay to get car detailed. The electricity went out on the car a week after I got it. They said they couldn’t fix it and I needed to take it somewhere else. After they had my car for HOURS and no one called me. The service manager is garbage! The sales person Josh only wants to make a sale! I would never recommend them 🚮

    Very long time in hold just to be told they can't even look at my car for over a week. My hood is sticking I just need someone to take a peek at it what do I pay for Toyota care for?? It's not like it's a full hood replacement or something, I just need someone to stick something in and flip the spring, if I need a replacement then I can make an appointment! Horrible service for a paying customer! 1/5 thanks for wasting my time.

    The sales manager Mackenzie Romero is very unprofessional. She texted us saying a vehicle I have been looking for is available and asked me to come over to the store to make a reservation. After driving 45 mins on Friday afternoon to get to the dealership, the sales associate told me the vehicle is not available and it has been reserved for a long time. I showed the text msg from Mackenzie to the associate, and he simply said she was wrong. Very disappointed and shocked by how unprofessional this dealership is.

While you may not believe that based on your experience, we truly would never invite someone out from 5 minutes away or 45 minutes on a busy Friday afternoon intentionally. The vehicle you were looking at became available after a customer decided to not purchase it (that previously had it reserved). Within an hour later they changed their mind and recommitted. There absolutely should have been a communication to you about the change, the minute we knew, but we are human and the message wasn't relayed to Mackenzie, to relay to you. We are continuing to work on ways to assure our team works together and communicates effectively, preventing this from happening to others in the future. Again, our apologies.

    Worst customer service 4 people inside as we sat by the pull up door entrance and no one responded so we went in and walked up to the desk still no reply the man was busy on his cell phone so i had to speak up and asked for help no smile or hello i said we are parked by the drive up he said just pull in i said how the door is closed still NO customer service bad attitude we were looking to buy a new suv but decided not to because we figured if these is the service we get we can only imagine the new car process long story short THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT CUSTOMERS left the car dirty i though they give you a courtesy wash

    Great purchase experience today. Did not feel pressured at all and walked away with a good deal. Less than five minutes after leaving Matick Toyota I noticed a brown spot on the front passenger headrest. I immediately called the sales rep and sent a picture of the headrest. As I was on my way to the office I could not stop back and have them look at it. The purchase experience leads me to believe the dealership will do the right thing and repair the damaged headrest. I highly recommend Matick Toyota. Update: As expected my sales rep (Steve) resolved my minor concern. I continue to be amazed at how smooth, efficient, and open this purchase experience has been. Great job Matick team!

    Josh Mertens was and is hands down the best car salesman I’ve ever had the pleasure of ever doing business with. He’s very knowledgeable (even outside of Toyota), personable, honest, easy going and I never felt like he put me under any pressure to go over my budget which I have a lot of respect for. Josh was able to help me find a vehicle that exceeded my family needs and expectations. I’ve dealt with a lot of salesmen in the past that wanna just brag about their numbers, sales etc, you know, stuff customers don’t actually care about. During the couple hours of waiting for my car transaction to process we talked about sports, being dads, and how he used to work at the same hospital I used to work at. Point being is that the rapport he built with me made me feel very comfort, like I was sitting down with an old friend just having good talks of life, which is hard nowadays with everything going on. As long as Josh is still here in the years to come, Matick Toyota will be my first choice in a dealership. Everyone else there also seemed to be very down to earth and friendly and I will recommend everyone I know to go there first.

    We have visited Matick Toyota a few times and each time they are wonderfully accommodating. We were greeted by Josh Mertens almost immediately and he began to work to find us what we were looking for even looking at options we never thought of. I never felt pressured like I have in the past by car salesman. We have just become customers of Matick Toyota and although we might not be quite ready to make a deal today, we will be soon and it will be with Matick and with Josh. On a side note...My husband and I have visited another Toyota dealership not far from Matick and twice we were never greeted or even helped.     Such a disappointment!! Toyota service department completely dropped the ball. ZERO help or care given. Our 80 year old neighbors car battery died because it sat too long due to her husband being in the hospital. My husband took the battery out of the car and brought it up to the dealership for a warranty replacement or repair. The battery is 1 year old. The service tech insisted that in order for the warranty to be honored the battery must come to the service department in the vehicle. My husband tried to explain to the tech that the battery will not take a charge and there is zero way to get the car into the service department. Hence the reason my husband brought the battery to the dealership during his work day. He was repeatedly told that the car needs to come to the service department and that the warranty is void if the battery is not in the vehicle. Toyota, you just lost a loyal customer. Mary and her husband came to your dealership religiously for all their vehicle needs. Every oil change, tune up, battery.. you name it. When we bring her a battery for her car that isn't a Toyota brand we will be explaining to her why. We will also encourage her to keep the oil changes local, that driving to the dealership isn't worth her time since her loyalty means absolutely nothing to you. All we needed to do was quickly and simply exchange a car battery. Obviously your customers and your customer service is not important to you. IN RESPONSE : Matick Toyota, Thank you for responding, but as I stated before her husband is currently in the hospital and Mary has no way of finding the proof of purchase of the battery. We thought the giant letters across the battery TOYOTA and the sticker with the date of purchase was proof enough! Not to mention my husband had names and phone numbers ready to give to an associate to access any customer information you needed. The only way to get their car to you is by towing it. It is not something Mary can do right now for she is currently busy trying to make arrangements with a nursing home. A car battery should be the least of her worries right now. That is why we "thought" we could take care of her dead battery situation. We can definitely resolve this much faster by taking our business somewhere else. Mrs. Rangel

As our Parts Team explained to your husband, it is not us as a dealership that is not able to warranty the battery, it is Toyota’s policy that the vehicle be present and proof of purchase of the battery be there when the warranty is being acted on.     I called the service department and spoke to Martin about my 2010 Toyota Corolla that wasn't starting suddenly after my son hit a pothole. Martin gave me things to trouble shoot but nothing worked. I got the car towed that night and called Martin in the morning 6/4/20, to let him know it was there. He immediately called to tell me the issues and got on getting them repaired. Martin was awesome! He was very helpful, patient and understanding. I got a great price on the repairs which included, alternator, battery and a belt. Very satisfied with the service. The cashier was very polite as well. Thank you Martin.

    Short story: John Duritza is hands down THE most honest car salesman you will ever have the opportunity of doing business with, I highly recommend you speak with him if you are looking for a vehicle. I have nothing but good things to say about Matick Toyota. I have a few people, including my sister who will now be going to see John to get vehicles in the future. Long Story: I have never financed a vehicle before, was a little weary of the process, did not want to get burned with a bad deal (I have worked at dealerships, and have seen some sketchy practices). I have been looking for a Subaru Brz or a Toyota 86, Matick Toyota just so happened to have a low milage Toyota 86 sitting on their lot. I called in and spoke with John Duritza who took my call close to closing time (picked up right away) and made a appointment with him to see the car as soon as they opened at 9 AM the next day. John Duritza made the whole process even better than I could have hoped for. John Duritza was very clear on pricing and even helped me get my payments exactly where I was hoping to see them. No hidden fees, John Duritza had everything transparent, and was very patient with me through the whole process. John Duritza took the time to explain to me in crystal clear detail absolutely EVERYTHING even before I would ask. John Duritza even went over the vehicles history with me in amazing detail, to my surprise it is still under factory warranty. I was able to leave Matick Toyota with a beautiful car, knowing I got a great deal, and never put under pressure. When it is time for me to get a new daily driver I will be seeing John Duritza and so will my family members. Thank you John Duritza and the whole Matick Toyota team, I am very glad I stepped into this establishment.

    I live in Traverse City, and my precious car had its transmission blow so needless to say I needed something new. I called 7 dealerships total (5 in Traverse and 2 in metro Detroit). Every other dealership gave me the run around and assumed I had a low credit score and low monthly income, so they all were giving me $500+ a month lease estimates based on assumptions. Although I used dealership payment calculators, nobody got close to what I was showing or even took days to get back with me. John on the other hand didn’t make any assumptions, provided very detailed and transparent information. Even being 4 hours away most of my interactions were via phone/text, and even then everything was prompt and thorough. He wasn’t pushy at all like many salesman I’ve encountered at other dealerships. It says volumes that I’d drive 4 hours to get a car from someone. 10/10 for this dealership and salesman.
