I can’t say enough great things about the team and Marshall Reddick. My first interaction was with Director Patrick Prunty. Being new to mortgage notes I had a lot of questions and I was very apprehensive. Patrick took the time to explain to me the process on several one on one conference calls until it all started to make sense. As I dipped my toe into my first deal, everything Patrick told me was true. His team stepped in an made sure everything was in order and I was protected every step of the way. I want to be clear about this next point, I looked at other mortgage note service providers and I have to say, NO company provides the level of transparency and professionalism I get each time I interact with the folks at Marshall Reddick. I will be willing to bet a Benjamin that if I picked up the phone right now and called Levi or April, they would pick up the phone 10 out of 10 times. While the team is strong this is not the only reason to select Marshall Reddick. Obviously when you are putting your money on the line you want to be sure you are lending the money to reputable borrowers. This is another area where they really shine. The level of vetting they do is extraordinary and it is reflected in their low low default rate. Finally, I want to comment on their portal. It is professional, useful and thorough. I can created advanced filters to see just those deals that interest me. I simply love every aspect of Marshall Reddick, so much so that my wife and I have decided to do all our mortgage notes with them. 5 out of 5 stars on every aspect!

I have done at least 5 deals/loans with Marshall Reddick. Every lender has its strengths. MR strength is personal service with the absolute easiest qualifying and lending prices in the business. For self employed and investors, there isn’t an easier solution. The first property I purchased was in Austin and was up 6 figures in under 6 months. They are an asset to the space.

I have been a real estate investor for six years at the time of this writing. After having some difficulties with making my case with a bank spanning almost two years for a cash out refinance with some rental properties I own, I was at a standstill. Fortunately, my property manager had recommended Marshall Reddick as a source of funding. Given all of the trouble I had with the bank, I was still very skeptical. Ultimately, I must say I was proved wrong in the best possible way. Patrick and Aaron were extremely knowledgeable and helpful throughout the entire process from the initial application to frequent updates to eventually closing on the loans. They were transparent, communicative, available and happy to assist. What makes Marshall Reddick such a good partner to work with is they evaluate the deal as opposed to the often unrelated elements regarding the financial status of the borrower. While their borrowing rates may be higher than a traditional lender, everything else is a breeze in comparison. I will pay a little more for a rate to be able to complete more deals. In the long run, it will work out completely fine. If you're curious about their rates, they are easy to find on their website, which is presented in an organized fashion. They also have a wide range of services, contacts, calculators and a robust education library that I reference often. I will definitely be utilizing their services in the future when the right deal comes along.

For the last year and half I've worked with Marshall Reddick to invest in mortgages for 5 properties--2 have closed and I now 3 open which I'm currently receiving monthly income. The Marshall Reddick team is awesome to work with and I've made great returns on my investments. They are a professional and responsive. The Company does their homework on the markets and properties. I can't tell you how easy and simple it has been to work with this team. I invest retirement funds from my self directed 401K and I highly recommend to investors who are interested in real estate. First off, let's start off by saying their customer service skills are very poor. BEWARE!!! They do not disclosure everything when you lease with them. After signing the lease and moving in, which was in the summer, we discovered the lower level A/C unit did not work. We request for that to be repaired with other items that should have been working. The maintenance man came out and said he had been there before with another tenant and they were having the same issue. We requested for the owner to repair this and he said no because it was too expensive and we can repair this issue on our own. None of this was disclosed by the agent or on the lease agreement. At that point, I knew it would be hell renting from this property management company. We had plenty of issues from cabinets breaking, car burglary, and appliances nonoperational. The team at Marshall Reddick did nothing to help with all of the issues with this property. When we moved out, we had a handyman repair wear and tear and had a maid service company clean the unit. This company kept the deposit and had their own contractor create an invoice to total the deposit amount. I would never recommend this company.
Hello Kamia, we would like to address each of your stated concerns. Marshall Reddick and it's Property Management team provided a copy of the lease agreement, all addendums, as well as Rules and Regulations as the rental is within an HOA community, well in advance of move in date. The Tenant Coordinator schedules calls to review and allow discussion on any terms you have questions on. This allows for multiple opportunities to communicate and understand the lease agreement and its subsequent documents. A work order for the A/C not blowing enough air came in on 7/11/2020. Marshall Reddick connected with you on 7/13/2020 to obtain further details. A vendor was dispatched 7/13/2020 to assess the issue and it was determined the unit was working; however, the distribution of air was not high as all zones were in use at the same time. No fix was needed. I would like to point out that you made two requests during the same period on 7/11/2020 to install ceiling fans and install an alarm system. Both of your requests were reviewed and approved within 24 business hours. Regarding a car burglary, it is always recommended that you park your vehicle in your assigned garages or parking spaces. Marshall Reddick has no control over such behavior of others; however, we do know your vehicle was parked on the street. Marshall Reddick Real Estate did notify the HOA immediately of the issue and communicated with you the same day, 9/16/2020. The bathroom cabinet hinge came apart on and was reported on 8/30/2020. After multiple attempts to arrange the scheduling, the vendor was able to repair the hinge on 9/21/2020. Lastly, a power outage was reported 4/23/21 in which the range appliance was providing an error message. The range display error was repaired on 4/26/21. Unfortunately, the vendors you may have obtained to do repairs and clean did not bring the leased unit back to the condition for which you rented it in, less normal wear and tear. This was noted on our thorough move out inspection with documented photos and details. Your deposit was subsequently used to cover these costs as it is the tenant’s responsibility. We also do appreciate you paying your remaining balance for the repairs and cleaning on the property once you moved out. We wish you and yours the best for the future.

I have worked with Marshall Reddick almost since the beginning when Marshall himself started the business. I'll review 2 key areas where I've invested: REAL ESTATE PURCHASES - I've made numerous purchases and have worked with several different people during different business cycles. I've found the current executive team (Ross and Scott) and their personnel to be knowledgeable, responsive and honest, and am very positive on working with the firm. For novice investors, understand that Real Estate is an investment, and just like any other investment (stocks, bonds, gold, etc.) investments involve risk. They are subject to business cycles, and things are not always perfect. It is not a "get rich quick" scheme --- it is a "get rich slow" scheme. If you do your homework and buy decent properties in good areas, you will make money over time. There will be bumps...a vacancy, some damage, a broken air conditioner, a recession, etc. People get in trouble when they don't have sufficient resources to weather the bumps, and/or they buy too many at once, thinking they can get rich quick. Take your time, and the Reddick staff can help you evaluate opportunities that make sense for you. MORTGAGE LENDING - This offering was introduced a few years ago, where investors can lend money to other investors that are interested in buying properties. I have made several successful investments working with Patrick, Stephanie, Aaron, and Levi, whom have demonstrated the same knowledge, responsiveness and honesty as personnel in other parts of the company. I've found this to be a useful offering because I can make an excellent return on my money, without the additional efforts required when purchasing my own real estate. It can be done for shorter term loans, or for longer term to generate an income stream over an extended period. I've done both, and I've been very happy with the process and the result. The staff carefully evaluates the properties and generally does a conservative valuation of the property relative to the loan, which helps reduce risk. This option is worth considering for investors that want to expand beyond purchases. BOTTOM LINE - I've had excellent experiences with the company and its people. I think the current management team, through the use of technology, has greatly increased the amount of available information when evaluating properties and mortgage loans. They have also narrowed their focus to areas they believe will generate the best returns. As a result, if you work with them to carefully investigate opportunities that make sense for your current financial situation, you should do well.
