The worst banking place I’ve ever had, don’t recommend

I first entered this bank to cash a check as they were the only open. Since they couldn't because I didnt have an account, they made suggestions and helped me find the nearest place to cash it. I opened an account shortly after. I love their service, very friendly. Definitely recommend.

Terrible customer service! Go to Sal al credit union instead.

Horrible. We are constantly charged overdraft fees. Their online banking will show a balance and available funds, then in the middle of the day, completely change and force fees. This is called "fee structuring" and many of the big banks have had major lawsuits filed over this. When you make a charge on your debit card, they routinely hold the funds against the charge, but then it will fall off only to return a couple days later and throw your whole account into upheaval. Watch out for these guys. Trying to find a better bank with full transparency. For people living on a limited budget with no cushion this should be illegal. We used to use Simple Bank which has no overdraft fees whatsoever, If the funds were not available you can't spend them. We switched to MAPS because we wanted a local branch to deal with. I find it interesting that every time I call, they can look it up and see everything that we can't see online. Why not show the consumer the same ledger as they can see, if that clears up confusion and helps people form being charged $31 for each overdrawn item? I'll tell you why, banks/credit unions derive a majority of their revenue from fee income. Its huge. Charging people such fees during the Covid-19 pandemic is unconscionable. I am making a case for this and will be submitting formal complaints to the Secretary of State, Better Business Bureau and the NCUA (National Credit Union Association). I suggest and recommend that you do the same if you have been the victim of this type of predatory banking.

This is an awesome bank people are very nice and helpful. Had chase bank before and was tired of big banks.got a credit card from maps you can get a very low interest rate.

This was my first time going and it will definitely be the last, was told to take a seat while a lady was helping a man, didn’t mind until she was helping everyone but me when I got there way before they did.
