Main Street Pawn Shop N Saginaw St, Pontiac

Over the weekend, my friend and I decided to check out the local pawn shops. I'd never been to one, so I figured it was time. After stopping at the most boring pawn shop ever, we made out way over to Main Street Pawn Shop. As we walked up to the door, I already knew that this was what I was looking for. There is an eclectic mix of treasures. In fact, there wasn't much they didn't have. Among other things, they had tools, toys, musical instruments, jewelry, Apple accessories, and even old school match box cars. If you're looking for a cool place to check out, I highly recommend you stop by. My friend bought a sword to help decorate his new house. The best part of the place is the entertaining conversation. I loved hearing Ron's stories and the history of the shop. Thanks, guys! I'll be back!

First off nicest bunch off guys this side of the moon always treated with respect really I could go on for pages about the friendly atmosphere and cleanliness of the joint great place to shop u can spend a day just checking out all the cool things in inventory bottom line trust worthy hosts and if they give u a price it’s always been fair or generous in my personal dealings keep up the good work Shelby and his pops are stand up guys

The place is well kept and maintains a friendly atmosphere. The staff is always helpful and curtious. Main Street Pawn is the only shop in Pontiac worth doing business at!

If you need to pawn something or if you're looking for something interesting like vintage guitars Lego toys lots of cool stuff here. I usually just go to pawn my tech. When I'm low on money and they are really good people. Always so nice and paying what is fair. I just today went in to pay on my stuff to keep it and he was so nice about it. Definitely go here if you're nearby!

As soon as we talked in they greeted us and made sure we were taken care of. The people here make you feel very welcome and at home with their jokes and conversations. The store is also very organized and clean. I am very happy with my experience here. I will definitely be going again

It was about a month ago I stopped in the shop with 2 others. It was after the Christmas parade, actually! There is quite a few details to unpack here but I’ll keep it short… unsure of his name, but the man working the floor was so unbelievably rude and unwilling to help. He made it very clear we weren’t welcomed and decided to kick us out of the store (after only about 10 minutes?) by telling us that they were closing early to perform an inventory count on the store. 🥴 it was about 1pm and they didn’t close until 5 pm. We called to verify. He left his scraps from lunch sitting on the front counter on the customer side… made a comment under his breath… scoffed when we asked him to plug in a wall lamp for us… he was more interested in watching whatever movie was playing in the electronics room. Just no effort to even answer or questions? Are you trying to deter consumers away? I don’t get it. Save your time and skip on this shop. Prices aren’t fair anyway.

The only place in Oakland with hood market pricing I went to turn an iPod and the guy didn’t beat me down to my stocks. They gave already treated me like family best in town

I am from the Ann Arbor area, and my friends mentioned they wanted to check out this pawn shop after the parade. We were in there for MAYBE 15 minutes before the sales person was eyeing us as if we were doing something wrong. When asked to see certain things in the shop, he seemed agitated and unfriendly towards us. I recommend not wasting your time if you want to be kicked out at noon when it’s open until 5pm for simply looking and ASKING QUESTIONS about their inventory. The sales person mentioned they close early on Saturdays to count inventory? My friend called after we were “kicked out” because they were “closing early” and the person on the phone said they were in fact opened until 5! You just lost sales today because we were actually interested in several things in the store.

Terrible experience, told us we need to leave because we weren’t buying anything and just looking around. Said they were closing for inventory counts yet were open until 5 that day. Very bad prices for what they sell. Would highly recommend NOT to waste your time here, not sure how they are still in business with the way they treat their customers.

Great store, great staff. I bought a 42 inch flat screen and a Nintendo switch from them. The switch looked brand new was in the box with all the packaging, and the TV was name brand and I got a great deal. The staff was super polite and helpful. I can't recommend this place enough.
